Low Net Carb Chicken Shawarma In Bamboo Fiber Pita Bread Recipe - Keto And Gluten Free

  • Shawarma is a very popular street food item from the Middle East, made from marinated meats. It’s become increasingly popular here in the US, and you can make it right at home with the most amazing spice mixture. And now you can eat it with my low net carb, keto-friendly pita bread. You will love them :)

    Full Recipe
    Seasoning mix:
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp cloves
    1 tsp ground coriander
    1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    2 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
    2 tbsp ground cumin
    1/4 tsp ground black pepper and
    1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
    2 chicken breasts
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1/2 tbsp salt (you may need different amount of salt)
    2 tbsp seasoning mix
    200g pre-shredded tricolor coleslaw mix (shredded cabbages and carrot),
    75g Keto-friendly Ranch salad dressing and
    50g mayonnaise
    Cucumber
    Tomato
    4-5 pita bread
    Steps
    In a bowl, mix together the seasonings:
    1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon,
    1/4 tsp of cloves,
    1 tsp of ground coriander,
    1 1/2 tsp of ground turmeric,
    1/2 tsp of ground ginger,
    2 tsp of paprika or smoked paprika,
    2 tbsp of ground cumin,
    1/4 tsp of ground black pepper and
    1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper (optional).
    Cut 2 chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and place them into a bowl.
    Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil and
    2 tbsp of the mixed seasoning.
    Add 1/2 tbsp of salt and mix them thoroughly.
    Make the Coleslaw. Mix together:
    200g of pre-shredded tricolor coleslaw mix (shredded cabbages and carrot),
    75g of Keto-friendly Ranch salad dressing and
    50g of mayonnaise.
    Cook the chicken either on the stove or on the grill. It will get a great crust on it from the spices, and you will adore the smell. It’s intoxicating!
    Cut the top ¼ of the bamboo fiber pita bread off and toast in an oiled frying pan. (Check the recipe on my channel)
    Fill it with chicken, cucumber, tomato and coleslaw.
