Now they could choose to end the story here, but it kinda feels like there's more to the story considering they also ended abruptly like with The Pain Remains I.
The trilogy of songs together channel so much pain, it’s a strange feeling. I can’t listen to them without crying. I’ve suffered with depression for over 25 years, I’ve experienced so much loss and trauma, for some reason this just brings everything to a head.
I think the song actually quite nicely fits what happens in the story. I can imagine there would be not only sadness but a bunch of rage to battle with. Thus your description of "Boss battle music" is quite accurate and the melodies are still quite emotional but not as much as in the first part, where the loss is only about to happen.
the key change fucking gives me the goosebumps. I'm pretty sure I spontaneously orgasmed when it happened. Lorna shore coming in and fucking me up again. Holy shit I'm so fucking hyped for the album
I'm new to Lorna Shore. I've listened to a several songs of theirs recently, the first was To the Hellfire, which I thought was pretty good and brutal AF. I didn't realize they do songs with no brutal riffage and zero breakdowns like this, also, not sure how it's "disturbing". This is pretty tame compared to a lot of music videos that are on youtube, like the end of the HLB Earthless video for instance (which you reacted to). Full on high quality neck spurting gore effects. I'm guessing you're not a horror fan heh
This song is trying to portray the frustration of dealing with loss. that's why the melody isn't satisfying and even slightly unsettling. I feel like nik isn't looking at the full picture when it comes to this trilogy of songs. i think this trilogy is turning out to be an artistic masterpiece
This one could be more of a bridge between Pain Remains 1 + 3. When we get to listen to them all in one go this song will make more sense I feel. Nonetheless I loved this one too, the riffs gave me old skool Trivium vibes.
Okay, Nik, Seriously, this will now be the 3rd time I've brought these guys up over the years. At first I thought this one had nothing special and then I find myself singing a melody that I was sure it was from Pain Remains I, but found out it was from this one's chorus melody, really catchy and nice
If it'll play out how I think it will, the third release will be very aggressive. Like a transition of emotion from sadness to anger. Just a thought but excited nonetheless
well judging by the name of the song (they released full track list dont want to type it here because not sure if you know and or want it spoiled if not) its probably gonna have a sick ending to it that brings the song to a full Epic that leaves you wanting more
This track is the pain. The first song was definitely the ballad. This song was bitter, pain, sadness. I cried more from the first one but the content of this was intense
Guitar melody in the beginning reminded me of Bathory, might have been Enter The Eternal Fire -song or thereabouts. Or was it an album or two forwards.
I like your reaction to this video a lot. Even though the video for into the earth for example, is meant to be scary, it doesn’t achieve the same thing as this video, after getting emotionally invested in the character after the first part, no amount of creepy distorted alien faces in into the earth can make you feel as gross and sad as the characters portrayal of just plain and simple taking his own life. It’s so bleak and brutal. Fantastic shit, Adam’s knowledge of the human psyche really shines through in his music. I absolutely love Lorna Shore
That shit was just a masterpiece. The two parts combined show a VERY strong message, about losses, depression and suicide.. i think that both songs were brutally "interrupted" in the end because thats what happen when you commit that act, you forcefully interrupts life itself! The trilogy of songs together channel so much pain, it’s a strange feeling. I can’t listen to them without crying. I’ve suffered with depression for over 25 years, I’ve experienced so much loss and trauma, for some reason this just brings everything to a head.
My funeral would totally play this type of music…so beautiful and soulful at the same time. Another masterpiece from Lorna Shore
I think the song actually quite nicely fits what happens in the story. I can imagine there would be not only sadness but a bunch of rage to battle with. Thus your description of "Boss battle music" is quite accurate and the melodies are still quite emotional but not as much as in the first part, where the loss is only about to happen.
Ty kokos aj niekto z SK/CZ pocuva kvalitny metal? 🤘
the key change fucking gives me the goosebumps.
I'm guessing you're not a horror fan heh
if this isn't playing at my funeral, I ain't going
This track is an actual boss battle track: the boss is called depression
This song is trying to portray the frustration of dealing with loss. that's why the melody isn't satisfying and even slightly unsettling. I feel like nik isn't looking at the full picture when it comes to this trilogy of songs. i think this trilogy is turning out to be an artistic masterpiece
This one could be more of a bridge between Pain Remains 1 + 3. When we get to listen to them all in one go this song will make more sense I feel. Nonetheless I loved this one too, the riffs gave me old skool Trivium vibes.
If these Pain remains songs keep blending together like this and you DON'T play them at my funeral, I'm turning of the speakers
Okay, Nik, Seriously, this will now be the 3rd time I've brought these guys up over the years. They just released their new song and you've never listened to them yet and they are far too good to be this underrated. Give them a reaction and get them some new viewers.
If I Were You - Wither.
Once you see how amazing they are maybe you'll get some more reactions from there last 2 albums.
If I were you Is extremely underrated It's sad
Gonna check them out now! Thanks for the reccomendation!
@@enigmatic7665 Thoughts?
@@TheBiggles654 It's very sad :/ they are easily my favorite band.
@@itsonlyhugs9486 I think they’re alright, the vocals don’t really do it for me. The instrumentals are great though!
As soon as this dropped, I was looking forward to this review. I am really excited for that third part to see what happens because that is one hell of a cliffhanger to end on.
How is it a cliffhanger , he is fucking dead. There is no part 3 lol
@@sonitgorla4125 there’s 3 parts to the song. wdym bro
@@sonitgorla4125 - Have you seen the tracklist or listened to any interviews by the Lorna Shore guys? This is a trilogy and this was Part II.
8. Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames
9. Pain Remains II: After All I've Done, I'll Disappear
10. Pain Remains III: In a Sea of Fire
I think it works really well as a second song and can't wait for part 3
I love the melodies in both 1 and 2, cant wait for 3
I cried when I heard this and read the interview of what each chapter was about shit hit me hard till this day especially when will sings a world without you isn’t meant for me
I am an oldish metal guy 40s. I am indifferent to a lot of newer core metal, but this band is just on a different level. I really like these guys.
And People say death metal songs aren't sad. They song hit the feels 🤧. I'm sorry for everyone that lost someone they loved
Deathcore* (with obvious blackened and melo flairs, but they're a deathcore band first and foremost, before anyone tries to correct me), and besides, there's an entire sub-genre of death metal whose whole thing is sadness and melancholy
This Satan music
At first I thought this one had nothing special and then I find myself singing a melody that I was sure it was from Pain Remains I, but found out it was from this one's chorus melody, really catchy and nice
3 hour Lord of the rings movie all in 1 song! The key change is where the good guys prevail!!
Hi mate u still haven't done part 3 please do part 3
I love both parts of this so far and I can't wait to hear the last part. I can't wait for this album actually, it's going to be amazing!
The more I hear this song the closer it comes to dethroning Into the Earth from my favorite spot. The riff is so good.
If it'll play out how I think it will, the third release will be very aggressive. Like a transition of emotion from sadness to anger. Just a thought but excited nonetheless
well judging by the name of the song (they released full track list dont want to type it here because not sure if you know and or want it spoiled if not) its probably gonna have a sick ending to it that brings the song to a full Epic that leaves you wanting more
🤣 "oh, so this is like, a sad story" floored me my man, great reaction Nik
Yea he almost dropped the ball right there ... just almost xD
This track is the pain. The first song was definitely the ballad. This song was bitter, pain, sadness. I cried more from the first one but the content of this was intense
Blasting every new song they release has been fun
I never thought i would like this kind of metal but after listening to both parts a rather enjoy it
I just love this whole post black metal vibe on the pain remains stuff
Guitar melody in the beginning reminded me of Bathory, might have been Enter The Eternal Fire -song or thereabouts. Or was it an album or two forwards.
Brother that beautiful song, greetings from Playa del Carmen
Absolutely loving this song. I got an ad for Dawn Dish Soap for that nasty solo.
I start to think that this is some kind of prequel of "To The Hellfire" because of the story in this video.
That guitar solo was... *chefs kiss*
At 3:34 “I feel bad head banging cause this guy is just like head sadding” -Nik 10/2022
Such melodic deathcore 🔥❤️
Myself, I hear Parkway Drive, Chelsea Grin, and Born of Osiris combined. I LOVE IT! Music videos have the early Asking Alexandria vibes!
1:48 when will does the low to high it’s just so hard to do that
I can’t wait to hear all the parts together! Be fucking intense in the pit live though
Nik, ya gotta listen to Pain Remains I right into Pain Remains II. Really pulls it all together.
Congrats on 666k subs!
can't wait for the PAIN REMAINS part 3 right now😁😁😁
How come no reaction to part 3? 1 and 3 are the best but all are great
3:33 fixed your comment: "I feel bad head banging cuz this guy's head hanging"
That shit was just a masterpiece. The two parts combined show a VERY strong message, about losses, depression and suicide.. i think that both songs were brutally "interrupted" in the end because thats what happen when you commit that act, you forcefully interrupts life itself! I keep listening to these tracks and loving them everyday more and more
