I have to admit, Lorna Shore might simply be my favorite deathcore band right now. Sun Eater was insane, and this song is on a league of its own too.
I'm not a big deathcore fan (more into oldschool death metal, melodeath etc etc), but a few of the more recent Lorna Shore tracks are awesome to me. To The Hellfire being the number one due to the sheer dark tone of it (almost gave me some atmospheric black metal vibes, really cool imho) and Sun/Eater being a close second. Oh and being an amateur vocalist myself - Will Ramos is a freak of nature in the best way possible.

For me it's split between Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent, although SoI are more modern Death Metal since their last album. But I love that they fill two different itches for me. I don't listen to much other Deathcore/Death Metal anymore, so they're more than enough! 😂

I think it's really impressiv how all their songs are 5+ minutes (with Will ofc) but they all feel so short.

As a dude who doesn’t really enjoy most deathcore, everything Lorna Shore has put out since Will joined fucks so hard.
Will Ramos is the fucking man, but let's take a second to appreciate the drummer of this band and how tf he keeps his arms and legs from being eviscerated from the intensity of these beats lol
austin has mastered his craft in doing double strokes on the kick so fast. he’s a machine. even with a herniated disk in his back he still manages to do it perfectly

@@gSWG3R It is. If you listen to him live, it's nowhere close to being as clean with the hands. He's spot on with his feet, though. His hands have a lot of trouble keeping up with the speed during the blast beats in almost every song I've seen footage of.

First time I’ve ever had a breakdown give me the goosebumps. Insane.
I'm a recovering alcoholic and experienced a seizure from withdrawals. It took 3 days to build up to that event. This song and music video perfectly portrays what that experience was like.

What makes this song the heaviest is that it doesn't start out slow, it starts with pure destruction and doesn't stop. Then halfway through we're treated to a ritual summoning and the death of the demon slain by Will's powerful voice!
The most “epic” sounding metal on the planet. I feels like a backwards film score listening to their most recent albums

@Dragon Ball fans can't read no one is forcing you to like deathcore. The fact that you want to take away an entire genre that many people enjoy just because it’s not “real metal” is petty and honestly very sad.

Hence why an opinion is subjective. R*ping a child is a moral issue, and is objectively horrible. The existence of Deathcore is a musical issue and anyone can choose to enjoy it or not listen to it.
@Dragon Ball fans can't read furthermore, if you had watched the video, you could have quite easily discerned more than three chords in this song, as well as tonality changes, rhythm and tempo changes, as well as far more technical riffs than just about any Panthers riff (not to diss Pantera at all). The blackened style of Deathcore has little “core” left in it at all.

No one ever said an evolution had to be an inherently good or beneficial change. Deathcore came from death metal and metalcore, and therefore partially evolved from death metal.
I will once again stress that you don’t have to enjoy any of it, you are allowed to have that opinion, and no one is saying otherwise.

What I find interesting about will, is that he can basically do these vocals live with a damn camera up his nose and down his throat. The band evolved into something spectacular and I'm generally not a death deathcore fan

The thing I love so much about them is how they can be so catchy and so unforgiving as well
This entire song+video is a whole ass experience. The first time I watched it I was pretty baked. It was terrifying in such a cool way
Simply put, they are the kings of deathcore atm. I don't really have "favorite bands/songs" because I like a metric fuck ton of bands/music, but Lorna Shore (with Will) might be my favorite band. They're making crazy unique stuff that's ticking all my boxes.

I think a big reason Lorna Shore has managed to break into mainstream and have people who aren't fans of metal listening to their songs is because they almost tip toe on the line of their songs sounding like anthems while being brutal at the same time. I love seeing how many people are getting introduced to deathcore/ blackened deathcore and that they're pushing the genre into a more heavy and technical place.
I think the mixing was finally spot on for my personal taste, could hear will very well compared to the other tracks

@@noahhumphrey2293 I actually didn’t like to the hellfire at first because of the mix until I saw wills one take and then that made me fall in love with to the hellfire and of the abyss, then again I dislike and I return to nothingness because the mix on even wills one take wasn’t right. Maybe I’m too picky, idk.
This is by far my favorite from them so far. AND, I love them all! I cannot get over the fact they keep coming up with these brutal hooks and breakdowns that are so unique!

Mate, I've been doing harsh vocals for years. It takes a lot of tike to perfect (took me about 4 years). Just keep going and doing what you're doing at you'll get there!
Don’t compare yourself to Will, he’s got 14 years on you. You can get this good if you keep going, let Will inspire you on what you can become.
