@@sambeaman5143 the drumrolls is actually a lot easier than it seems. The sticks kinda bounces on the drum making it hit the drum 2, 3 even 4 times in a single stroke. Now if you're consistent enough and practiced enough it's not that hard.
The guitarist did a live video, and you could tell it was even wearing him out, at least to some degree, but he fkn RIPS on guitar. This would be sick live

it's a really cool track, but the mix kinda throws me off, also i don't know if youtube is doing something weird with compression? (specifically the snare sometimes has a wrong attack, there's something 'escaping')

Maybe both are a little bit better in some techniques than the other, but they are on the same masterlevel ( only my opinion ). My comment was about this song, and means that will put some extra disgust in here, and i love it. We shouldnt fight over vocalists, and just enjoy the music.
@@Tbass17 The Kick is triggered. That is not the same as a programmed drum. The trigger detects every hammer strike from the pedal and plays a sound of a set strength/volume. This is a common thing in this style of music because the higher you push your BPM the harder it is to get a clear consistent strike every single time. They use a trigger so that every hit sounds the same and is distinct - it's why it sounds a bit like a machine-gun bullets generally make a very consistent sound even when fired in quick succession. Go and watch one of Evgeny Novikov's (Slaughter to Prevail, Katalepsy) playthroughs he has a foot cam and you can watch his feet and the kick hammers going.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Will in AWIP - but this man was made for Lorna Shore. He fits their style so well it's unbelievable. I look forward to their future releases

'they are doing it slower, but FASTER somehow' :D I admit I didn't listen to much lorna shore before this. But i'll be gotDAMMED if it doesn't seem like Ramos pushed the entire band to a whole other level. Just me?
6:40 Dickie Allen actually explained how he does a Scream kinda like this in a Kardavox Academy video. He plugs his nose, does a high scream and is like pushing the air through his nose but because he plugged it with his fingers it travels back and has that "eating zombie" typa sound. Its a little hard to explain and to get down, but I got it working and it sounds really filthy like that cool kinda filthy. Iam obviously no vocal couch just an intermediate trying out new stuff but I think that's what Will does here, absolute banger, the guy is a god.
In this track, no. It's very clear that Will's taken influence from some of Shrine of Malice's vocal styles and techniques, not as much Tom. Will = CJ McCreery, Dickie Allen, and Greg Gilbert.
Lornas ability to combine beautiful soaring melodies and absolute face pounding is second to none. So glad to hear the standard set in immortal is going to continue.

I am THRILLED that CJ's... departure... didn't lessen how amazing this band is, and Will is ALREADY matching, if not raising, the standard CJ set. I'm hyped for this album.
Fortunately it was the other members that kicked him out, so you know they're either decent, socially conscious people or at the very least understand the impact something like that would have on them.
I remember an A Wake in Providence show when Will was the vocalist, we were like 7 people, it was a sick show and now watching him perform with Lorna Shore is just awesome !

Everyone always equates this song with the breakdown (understandably), but 2:12 is, to me, the stand out section. I’ve never heard such brutality and chaos from every instrument be simultaneously balanced in that way. It’s absurd.
The transitions are so smooth. I freaking love this song. A true musical masterpiece. From the orchestral parts, to the guitar parts, to the drums, the dark bass tone and the vocals. This song was mixed to perfection. Also to note how many seamless breakdowns are in the song.gives me the goosebumps every time I listen to it.
