This guy's a multi-millionaire now. An American entrepreneur. A knife legend! People like Anthony and Rob Dalton were groundbreakers in the knife industry. Good upload!
This video is the most honest a gentleman gets, this vid really helped me understand the man behind the blades and I have gained alot of respect for him today,,,thank you for your honesty and all the toys you have brought to us over the years,,,ido appreciate your time and knowledge ....I hope I get to meet you some day,,,till then..
I'll bet he loves it. I bought my socom elite earlier this year. Satin finish tanto black aluminum handle. For such a large knife it carries really well and it's a cutting machine. Excellent engineering and manufacturing.
Back in the day 21 years ago, they took a stonewashed Socom and left hand partially serrated it and changed the coating to black and when I got it back there was plenty of Microtech merch in the box for free, even a T shirt!
Being mentored by Chris Reeves........WOW! Amazing! I don't know Chris but he doesn't seem like a guy that would just take anyone and apprentice them....he must have seen something special about Anthony.
I’m glad Tony exists. He’s done leaps and bounds for the knife industry and me being a knife nut I can appreciate the high quality and style that he has accomplished. It’s basically the only company I support when it comes to buying knives. They just provide a top shelf product.
After admiring the quality of his work & the skills that it takes to get his knives to the level they are at (including tue skills of his employees) then hearing his story, I can't help but wonder what he had to say and/or do to convince Chris Reeves into mentoring & passing his skills & knowledge down to him. Then I wonder what he would need to hear or see to convince him into mentoring & passing those same skills down to someone (from on the outside) else. To me, 1 of the absolute best things for the knife (along with many others) community is to pass that level of skills, knowledge, & talent on to others because that passion & drive are infectious.
@Emerald Lx it sketched me out cause all the others were 250 to 270 and were 204p not 20cv like I said before. And it came with box and everything. My wife thinks it was 90. Shhhhh. This quarantine crap has me jonesing to go to the knife store
This is a video that's been a long time coming..there are many differing opinions on MT...but the quality they put out is not in question...overall ...would love to see Tony's Wife's collection...lots of her stuff posted in pics on Microholics...say what you want about Tony he's a master craftsman
I have 5 Microtechs in my collection. I think they are the absolute best Otf that you can buy. Even though I do not have one the Halo is my favorite. Also like the shirt. I have 5 fFender guitars and have been playing a Fender P Bass for over 12 years.
Love how he includes his wife. He’s a family man and loyal to his wife and that’s a great characteristic for a businessman to have. As soon as I get enough money LOL I am going to buy one of his knives!
I have an LEO Ultratech which I obtained via the Service Personal Program. Love it. I’m curious if Anthony ever had his hands on it. I made a review of the program and how to take advantage of this deal on my channel.
I fell in love with microtech blades as soon as I saw the torture test of combat troodon and since that day ı have been watching almost every video Jason McCoy and other people put in this platform. My dream would be having a collection of Tony Morfione's brand. Sadly automatic knives are illegal to buy or carry in my country so all we can do is simply watch, it's some kind of torture
The only thing that bugs me in the video he States how alot of his original knives or more unique blades they've produced have "made their way back to the factory" where I've read plenty stories how someone will send in something super rare and it'll "go missing in the factory"... Hmmmm something seems fishy...
I told myself if I ever stack up a pile of cheap broken Chinese automatics that equal the price if one microtech of my same design would buy a Tony marfione ... I now own four out the front microtech as one is a signature tony marfione bronzed halo VI early model of the last with no safety lock and never will be for sale
Be nice if Microtech would update their authenticator iphone app, doesn't work with IOS 11 or 12. Especially when you are spending $1000+ on some of his knives
Once you figure in production costs, labor, etc.. they're probably not making a ton off OTF knives, it's not a very big segment of the knife market. Not all knife nuts are into autos or OTFs plus they are still illegal in a lot of areas so they probably dont' sell a ton of them.
I bought a Microtech Troodon from Pvk.vegas & it doesn't work! So i'm stuck with a $300 paperweight. & no i will not spend over $100 for shipping to send it in! I should not have to pay for other peoples mistakes!! Avoid Pvk & Microtech at all cost.
Why don’t you get back with PVK or look into fixing it yourself. I guess it’s much easier to come on here and whine while just giving up so easily. Your grandfather would be ashamed at your lack of effort to be self-sufficient!
@@quin498 its a good thing too..........cause he would paddle that ass of yours for being a lazy little shit!! now go return that knife for a refund or replacement!!

Please move away from firearms; it might make sense from a business perspective, but there are other perspectives with long term implications and benefits. History has a long memory. I really like my first purchase and only purchase from your fine company: Marfione / Strider Custom MSG-2 Dual-Action Knife Black (3.5" Vapor Blast) II. Amazing. Next will be a Marfione OTF. Thank you.

Just bought my son a socom elite for his birthday. It’s on its way to Ft Hood where he is stationed.

Good on'ya.

They need to start doing that again with all their products just to say thanks for supporting us instead of the clone market.
Being mentored by Chris Reeves........WOW! Amazing! I don't know Chris but he doesn't seem like a guy that would just take anyone and apprentice them....he must have seen something special about Anthony.
Elegant words from a Master designer...Microtech has earned my business.

Another solid piece of evidence that Chris Reeve was/is a master among masters.
I've only had my Ultratech for a few weeks now. So far I still love it.
Anthony Marfione is such a down to earth guy. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and company.
After admiring the quality of his work & the skills that it takes to get his knives to the level they are at (including tue skills of his employees) then hearing his story, I can't help but wonder what he had to say and/or do to convince Chris Reeves into mentoring & passing his skills & knowledge down to him. This dude has me sold on spending a small fortune on his products. And they'll l be users, not locked in a box on a shelf
I just bought a utx85 plain edge in elmax for 225
They didn't have one in elmax at the shop I go to. Just the 20cv run. I wanted a double edged one side straight, one side serrated
@Emerald Lx it sketched me out cause all the others were 250 to 270 and were 204p not 20cv like I said before. And it came with box and everything. My wife thinks it was 90. Shhhhh. This quarantine crap has me jonesing to go to the knife store
They make one hell of a knife...so good
Couldn’t afford a really good knife for himself so he went out and created the best OTF’s known to mankind (by far). Legendary.
I daily an Ultratech and it's pretty much my favorite knife ever. Love Microtech!!

Love his knives!!
Great video review!!
Nice video! Hey, keep sending stickers out with each purchase! It's wild that other companies don't do that

LMAO he may be a lot of things but he has not been loyal to his wife
Great interview. Getting ready to purchase one of his Marfione Custom Socom Elite knives.
I absolutely luv my RAM-LOK Folders! Tony Marfione absolutely "ROCKS!!!" :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

As of spring 2022, Tony's business now employs nearly 170 people. (Up from the 75 stated in this video.) Grats!
Thanks for that. Awesome interview.
Happy to support the industry and see a good person make it work. Bought my first Microtech last week...SOCOM Eite. Looking for the next one.

1/21/2022. I Adore this Interview…
awesome video new light on how you guys do stuff I just wish you would have a cheaper OTF knife double action.
This makes me feel a lot better about spending over 200 on my tiny little utx 70 lol. Love my knife
I just received my first microtech & its a utx-70. It sure is tiny but definitely seems like a forever knife. How's yours holding up
I am a Microtech fan boy. I admit it.
Still haven't seen my knife on anything you've put on you tube. It's a DA made in 2011. Had a couple issues but they made it right.
How can this only have 20,000 views?????......I’ve watched it at LEAST that many times myself 🤔🤔🤔🤔
The only thing that bugs me in the video he States how alot of his original knives or more unique blades they've produced have "made their way back to the factory" where I've read plenty stories how someone will send in something super rare and it'll "go missing in the factory"... Mine is definitely rare, if went missing I know where the factory is. Lol!!
The Steve Jobs of knife making! 👍🔪👍
5:49 this damn microtech is almost as old as me
I’m glad you can pick these things up at a decent price overseas
You got some amazing of sir
KEEP IT MADE IN THE USA!!!!!
Woooow, he’s so cool 🤤
I love MT knives.
Absolutely love Microtech. Marfione knifes are the best
My Mom, TOOK AWAY the knives I BROUGHT BACK from Italy….big difference
5:51 the date on that ultratech... 09/2001
Love this guy huge fan of the OTF knives. I will continue to buy them
What do you have ?
MotoknivesandgunsbyJT i have a few otf knives. But my two favorites are Microtech Stitches. I have a bronze and a all black one.

Still remember when I bought my HALO 2 for $350 NEW. Cost of aluminum has skyrocketed since 1997 apparently LOL
Cost of making stuff in USA skyrocketed
Word is bond.
Tony collects machine guns and $100 Bills! Makes great knives!
Socom is the best knife for $300 and under.
👊...Very inspiration! Definitely got Microtechs Back and the definitely got Jr's. Back as well (Heretic Knives)..🤣
Tony is only 53 years old? he started microtech at age 23?! jeez louise
Chirs Reeves? Even some of the big names in the knife industry cannot even get the legends name correct.
William Kegley Chirs?
But he was mentored by Superman
Wonder what that first knife is worth now 💰💰💰💰🤔. I like the way he includes everybody for a slice of the pie.
We need to see mini socom back, you are a midget Tony, please think about short men with small hands like us!
Be nice if Microtech would update their authenticator iphone app, doesn't work with IOS 11 or 12. Especially when you are spending $1000+ on some of his knives
IPhone ? ...Sucka...
My fav knives, best in the world IMO
He’s like the Tony Stark of the knife industry.
His first knife wouldn't even fold right? Had he not learned from his mistakes he could have had a future with Benchmade!
Elvay snob
Elvay Classic! I’d add he could have had a very bright future with BM. LOL
Bull shit. BM's fold great. They are great fucking knives. Period.
Hehe. Benchmades are just fine.
🤠👍
Oh to be rich and go to these shows and buy whatever you want. I have to save up about a year to get a Microtech. Oh yeah, nice guy, Tony:-)
Chris Reeves is an absolute legend!
When you see tons of clones.. you’ve know you’ve made a successful design
2/19/2022
Way over priced but I just like them and buy them. Shit
I want to be buried with my socom elite. Thank you microtech.
Should ask why you sale your 70 for $300 and ultras for $3-$600 when it only cost $36.71 to make
Lance Larymore Where did the $36.71 come from? Thanks in advance.

Go ahead and make it yourself then Lance.
It's called Capitalism my friend.
First!
Like Marfione but not MT as a brand 😑
In the process of getting rid of my Microtech knives. Not impressed with any of them.It was a phase.Over it.
Terry Franks what all ones you have .. I'm interested maybe
Panzer Faust Do you have any 2001-2005 Ultratech knives for sale?
No one cares
I bought a Microtech Troodon from Pvk.vegas & it doesn't work!
So i'm stuck with a $300 paperweight.
& no i will not spend over $100 for shipping to send it in!

Stopped watching as soon as he mentioned the "wife"
Why’s that? Just curious
Him or whovever runs his social media is an coward. I'll never buy a Microtech.
