Hi Pat! My Mama's Garden is hanging up in our dining room window right now! The one I did when we had you here in Abilene as our guest at guild 😊 The class really took most of us "out of our little box" of thinking & I just love it 💗 Your Midnight Moon is going to be so pretty.
On another note-I've been waiting until today to say this, but I leave tomorrow with a great friend to head to Missouri Star Quilt Co for a retreat next week!!!! We're stopping off to pick up another girl & spend the night at her house, then head up Monday. I've been waiting to send you your "Thank You" box until I get back so I can pick up other goodies along the way 🎁 We recently watched National Lampoon's Vacation for the who knows how many times & I laughed every time it showed another "Welcome to" whatever state sign. I told Randy- "that will be us-taking pictures at every "Welcome to" sign" 🤣 I'll be wearing my Sloan Zone shirt one of the days!!

Oh, my goodness Pat. I missed this when Midnight Moon came out in 2019. I'm just in love with all those blocks and especially all those HST's. I just ordered the book on Amazon and can't wait to sit down with my Diet Coke and ready cover to cover. I have no idea what fabric theme I'll use, probably very scrappy to use some of my stash. I’m not sure if you have shown us the process of getting your quilt ready for the binding or not?! I would love to see that process of trimming the sandwich quilt up and getting it all ready for the binding.

I am so curious about your fabulous collection of polka dot fabrics....how has your collection been created? Do you just buy a little of every polka dot you see? I love that you put in the black with white dots here and there in a number of quilts...then the red and white dots in the quilt on your studio wall... I need to come up with a game plan on how to amass a collection of dots.

I got the same shirt. Saving it for cooler weather.
My choice for binding would be the dark teal.
Oh man. I'll have to send a picture of my sewing table right now. I am testing a pattern with very short notice (one week total turn around). I didn't even clean off the project I was already working on to start it. It looks like a bomb, tornado and a hurricane were in my sewing room 🤔
I have multiple project disorder so this is my norm 😆

Oh man, I love your quilts! I wish I was as productive as you. I am glad to see you also have quilts unfinished for awhile. Have you looked in your binding area for the binding or something that would work. If you are like me, that is the most obvious but last place I would check. 😁

As for the border, I wonder if a dark turquoise wouldn’t be great to frame it next to the mermaid border, and echo the color of the sea. I am impressed at your ‘to be bound’ shelves. What about using the coral with turquoise dots for the binding?
I just love having my coffee in the morning and watching your video.. you give me the motivation to create. Im trying to find the perfect polka dot and love the scale of the black one you are using. Ive been looking and some are way too small (hurts the eyes) and the others are almost quarter size dots. What is the fabric line you are using? Its the perfect size. 💚💚

I think that you should use a red fabric because you have reds throughout the quilt

Am I remembering correctly that you have a drawer on the back wall where your bindings are stored? Do you already have a binding for Gone to the Beach? It's a beautiful quilt and just the right size of polka dot on black will be great!
I changed that awhile ago. The basket has bindings but not the stripe
