Hi Donna, happened to chance upon your video and I have since been following your tutorials. Btw, I am a elderly male in my mid 70s and I do not sew. Nevertheless, I find your instructions explicit and marvel at your skill in transforming fabrics into beautiful beautiful quilts. Also the final machine quilting is an icing on the cake. Watching your videos is therapeutic and calming especially during this pandemic period. You have my admiration for having such devotion to your skill. Keep up the good work and stay safe and healthy. Cheers from 🇸🇬
David, I agree with you completely. I just started quilting during the pandemic and spent hours watching TH-cam videos. I watch my granddaughter during the day and when she was about 3 months old sitting on my lap I would watch Donna's videos and as soon as she heard Donna's voice she would watch the video with me. Now at 9 months old and teething, all I have to say is "lets watch Donna" and she is so happy. My future quilting buddy. Donna, Matt and crew, please keep making your videos, I watch them over and over!!!
David, I am the same way. I do sew but have not really done quilts. But watching Donna is a treat and I, too, find her videos inspiring and relaxing. Someone else you might want to take a look at is Beth Shibley @ “My Sewing Room.” Her videos are short, sweet, and utterly stress free. They are like meditation for me. Just relaxed, perfectly imperfect quilting with lovely music and a calming, welcoming tone. Different from Donna, but very enjoyable.
It's never too late to take up the fabric arts! Even just sewing up a block or two to make a pillow or centerpiece or small wall hanging is quilting- it doesn't have to go on a bed at all. You can literally make a little piece of art in a day and yes, it is very therapeutic.
Everything about this quilt is beautiful. It's great Donna that you use fabrics from different manufacturers. I enjoy your videos because there straight forward NO DRAMA. Your son does a great job as your videographer.
I LOVE watching your videos while I'm quilting. I've learned so much from you and I've been quilting for 30 years. Quilting with a friend is always a joy. Thanks Donna.
I’m going to give this a go. My Dad has just been admitted to hospital again so I hope to have it finished for when he goes home again. I’ll post a pic once it’s done. I’m a beginner quilter (started last year) and this will be my seventh quilt
I'm praying for your Dad RIGHT NOW!! You and I started about the same time!! Most of mine are baby quilts. I joined a group at church that makes baby quilts for the Hope Pregnancy Center here! That's when I started quilting! I have my first one on my wall because I see too many mistakes to donate!! 🤣😆😂😆🤣
I have watched this Roundabout Training Video at least 6 times, I LOVE the Illusion Pattern Design. I will definitely be making this Quilt. THANK YOU so much for this gorgeous Pattern. I LOVE your work. Rhonda - Gold Coast, Australia 🇦🇺 💞

This is one of my favorite quilt patterns that is still on my to-do list. Donna, how you come up with these patterns is just amazing; you have such a talent and skill to create beautiful pieces of art - even if they’re just to cuddle up with! Thank you for what you and the Jordan Fabrics team do to teach, encourage and support those of us who weren’t courageous enough to start a quilt on our own.
I love Donna 's videos! I have learned so much from her! She makes everything with ease with great directions and easy to follow her. I love to watch on my TV at home.
@@staceyfranks01 You can, but not necessary. As long as you scale all your blocks to the same size, it will look beautiful. I did two with 3 inch blocks (needed 42 blocks in all for each) and another one 7 inch blocks (needed only 22 blocks). Work out how many blocks before you start, as I have oodles of both sizes left over ready for more quilts lol. Also you can chain sew the 4 corners on instead of keep stopping and cutting thread, using 3 blocks at a time (sew one corner, place another corner on the next block, sew that, same on next block, then take blocks from the back of machine to sew the next corner.. Incidentally I found the measurement of my corner sections was the same measurement from the top of the template to the bottom, ie the 3 inch template used 3 inch corner and the 7inch template used 7inch corner etc.

Thank you for your tutorials. I love your explanations. Although I have been quilting a long time, I still learn things from you.
That looks like beach balls to me, perfect time for a summer beach ball quilt!
I really liked the design, but was a li'l bit unsure of the colors until after I watched Donna put this all together. Now I'm planning one of these for our own. Thanks Donna, it's gorgeous!
I love your choice of fabrics! I tend to go with simpler/safer choices. You are inspiring me to make bolder choices. Thank you!!
Thank you for another wonderful video! I appreciate quilts where fat quarters are used as you can imagine I have a boatload of them sitting on the shelves waiting to be used. Thank you too for the very generous giveaway quilts - very kind of you.
I am so happy you re-made this quilt. This was my all time favorite and was sad when you gave away the one you did in blues. Sadly I didn't win it. I really like the colors you used in this quilt. Just gorgeous.
Donna, you are the most amazing quilting instructor, and I am a professional instructor!! I LOVE your videos. I have now made two of your quilts and so love them!!! Great job!!
I absolutely LOVE this quilt Donna! If it was not for your outstanding tutorial, I would be too intimidated to even try this pattern. You are a naturally gifted teacher and I truly appreciate all I've learned from you over the years!!! Thank you ~~Christy~~
I loved the way the light sewed on dark blocks looked before you ironed them back. Wish I knew how to make a pattern like that. Love this video.
I have wanted to make this for years-this week is the week! ❤
Love these fabrics. So so pretty. Thanks Donna for all your hard work making these videos for us to enjoy & learn from.
The best teacher 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Such a cool pattern. Amazing how it looks like big circles. You always make the patterns look so easy ...no matter what they might be! Thank you!
Love this quilt Donna! You explain the instructions so well for a new quilter. Thank you!
This is going to be my next quilt, I really appreciate your time and talent to make these tutorials. Thanks Donna and all your team!!
This looks like an old pattern block called storm at sea! Beautiful quilt, Donna.
Donna I appreciate all the free patterns you share with us. And then explain them so well. I visited my local quilt shop today and bought my batiks for this quilt. I hope to start on it next week. Thanks for sharing with us.
love this...i watched a video from 2017 using the same pattern only using dark corners to get a totally different look. Now to choose which to make... maybe both? Thank you Donna for making each of your tutorials that inspire people to be creative!!
I love 💕 this pattern! You make learning so simple. You have helped me not only be a better quilter but getting organized before I sew, setting out the block before sewing it and ironing so I don’t deform the block. 😉 Anyway, thank you all for what you do. It has been especially helpful in this past year! I cannot wait to come visit your shop when you open back up to the public again 💕
Love this quilt Donna, there is so much to look at with the different designs that show up.
Love all your directions on quilting!
I made this quilt several years ago. It turned out beautiful. I love Donna's tutorials. They are so easy to follow and you actually can complete a quilt. Thanks Donna.
