I like the quilt on point and I would put solids in the spaces so that the quilt is bigger.
Yes, the swimsuit middle, blocks on point, swimsuit on the edges, skinny red boarder, larger Aqua boarder, bam 💥 done, Sew cute!!
Love the latest idea of your swimsuit quit with the large block in the center, with the aqua setting triangles, and swimsuit border. A skinny red inner border would be cute too. If you could find a red/white striped material for the binding, that would be super!

Love your ufo on wall. Make the top row on point w 2 blocks,then make last row 2 blue blocks also, with the swim suit material fill-in block as spacers. Will look great

My scrap quilt made this while out of work with Covid back in 2020 It is 100x 100. 42 blocks with each block having 81 2 1/2 in squares
I like that layout with the bathing suit fabric big square. OR In your stash do you have another sea/beach/nautical fabric that you could use as a focus fabric for the large central square and then use that fabulous bathing suit fabric for the set in triangles? Or not! Just use all the bathing suit material up everywhere, it would be pretty special.

The blue bathing suit blocks are adorable either way, but I prefer the multiplication sign look versus the plus sign ( on point) orientation. No reason why- just a visual preference.❤❤
After thought is great! I don't agree with pink for the scrap quilt but you're the boss of your quilt and that is what makes you happy then do it. If it were mine I would use the purple 💜 for the binding but that's me. No favorite scrap quilt, have to finish the UFO s to get the scraps LOL 🎃

I have some of that beach fabric that someone gave me once. I think that quilt would be cuter if you kept the side by side layout and then maybe you could use the remaining beach fabric for the backing. If you want it to be bigger use some of that aqua for sashing. That polka dot might be a cute binding if you have enough. 😊

Like the square on arrangement. The beach fabric is so cute, I’d alternate just a square of it with the blocks to make it bigger.

Polka dot distracts from cute swimsuit fabric.
You could take the center block and move it down and put the swimming suits as the center block. That way you will have enough blocks for 5 rows. Just a thought. I love my Sloan Zone coffee mug! 😆 I guess I should have finished watching your video before I made my comment. 😆
The on point setting is great and the swimsuit fabric in the center is perfect. Looking forward to seeing it as a flimsy!
You need to make a black and white quilt next
Maybe put a square of the beach fabric right in the middle with the others on point around it. One less block to make. Then beach fabric as your setting triangles.

I like the individual X block side by side better. I find the on point busy. But I understand your dilemma so just get it done. Lol I need to take that advice. The center focus fabric looks nice. Go for it.

Can you perhaps set them straight in a 3 x 4 setting and use the beach print fabric for a lovely wide border!

I was hoping to see more of the bathing suit fabric and a bit more red please. Before you decided I didn't like either and wondered if you had another ufo you could blend with this one as I saw these blocks as a border of some kind around a centre panel. Have a good day 😊

Awesome option with the big block in the middle. You could also set the blocks on the square set with some unpieced blocks alternating between them. I'm always amazed at how different blocks look when on point vs square side by side set.

I like the look of the quilt on point. Using more of the bathing suit fabric to fill in between would give you a bigger quilt, as you stated, and I prefer the less crowded look it would give.

I love that beach quilt. And on point with that center is darling. I’d love to see it finished off with the white dotted blue for binding. Progress! Congrats on finishing those Midnight Moon blocks. I like it side by side because when I look at the on point arrangements it makes me think of the blue cross blue shield emblem .my brain goes there. Lol.
Yes I like the layout! I was thinking you had enough blocks for that but I was thinking making a different pieced block for the center. That fabric is so cute it works.

What that orange red as the center small square, and I love it on point.
Love the on point setting since the bathing suits stand upright that way and that extra square of the print in the center works perfectly! When you pulled out the black polka dot bin there was a print on the other side of it in the back that looked like it was blue and white and I see the words "Sand" and "Castle" on it. Could that be used for the side setting triangles for this since it works thematically with the bathing suits? Just not sure if the blues in that print work color-wise with the blue print you used in the Flying Geese in the blocks. If not, maybe for the backing? The Beach quilt is gorgeous!
