The problem is that all they see is a realistic game and assume it's going to be good without looking at what the game is actually trying to do.
A good example is that you just listed 3 different games which are all wildly different from one another, where realism is the only thing that they have in common. Gray Zone Warfare is an extraction shooter with progression, Fallujah is an FPS made to recreate an actual historical event with historical limitations, and Ground Branch is like a milsim sandbox. All games are trying to achieve something different. If you just buy a game because it's realistic and then are disappointed because you didn't stop to think about what you actually wanted out of the game then that is your fault.

Potentially a good game as long as the emphasis isn't all on communications/command communications which really kill the fun of a game. In Arma there can be too much command comms where you want to shove the mic down someone's throat then force them to go fight like a grunt! Personal comms between players would be fine but hope they don't force a player to use "Proper" Radio procedure. If that's going to be the thing let them go create a 911 dispatcher game and let the player get back to the fun of military combat.

A few things to note: Those are not 240 bravos in the promos. Those are 249 Saws with 100rnd mini packs, which is a solo-run weapon system. Also, Saw/240 gunners run with an M145 scope on their weapons, not Holographics; holos are very rare in the U.S. military; in fact, the primary site used on the previous generation of rifles was the ACOG or a red dot sight.

Would love to see crewed weapons operate in such a way that the gunner can reload solo if need be but it's much faster if the AG/crewmate is helping out. For MGs they can more quickly slam a new can down allowing the gunner to reload faster than if he were fumbling about on their own allowing the gunner to maintain general line of sight. Same for RPG teams, Gunner would have to drop the ass down & point the business end up to reload or vice versa for a Carl but an AG can just reload for them much faster while they're still taking a knee allowing them to maintain line of sight. Mortar teams could drop a can of Tootsie Rolls next to the mortar and the guy on the mortar COULD do everything solo but a teammate unpackaging and hanging for you is much faster. As for kits I like the idea of something in between Squad's role system and Arma's virtual arsenal.

I’m curious to see how well a milsim tactical shooter can hold players accountable for actually playing tactically through teamwork though. I feel like a lot of these games end up crumbling at some point because the community slowly starts to lose the tactical teamwork sense. Squad started out really well with that, but the last couple times I’ve played have been radio silence and people running and gunning solo.

    Not a 240 but it’s alright.
The 249 or the (Squad Automatic Weapon-SAW) is used in a squad at the fire team level, so two per squad one for each fireteam both Alpha and Bravo team, in a traditional standard Army infantry squad.
The 249 although it could be flexed in this role, 99.99% of the time the 249 would be with the fire teams in the squad level. Because the weapon is intended to be operated by a singular individual. (Shoutout to my boiis staying on line with that beast)
Not too familiar with how the marine corps squad structure breakdown is but I assume it’s in a similar fashion.
Just shearing some information for those that have not served in the military at the basic infantryman level.
Coming from Basic Bitch active duty infantryman in the US Army.
Some cool books to look at are STP-21-1-SMCT warrior skills level 1, FM 3-21.3 (FM 7-8) The Infantry Rifle Platoon and Squad, and the TC 3-21.75 Ranger Handbook. Especially the (10-1 through 10-14 Machine Gun Employment)of the Ranger Handbook. Are a good source of information that brakes down the roles, duties and responsibilities of each individual in a standard basic Army infantry Rifleman Platoon/Squad.
Reading these books will expand your knowledge and can increase your effectiveness and lethality as a mil-sim gamer. And would most definitely increase the level of immersion while playing mile-sim games.

I love that someone who genuinely understands the milsim gaming community is getting into game development so that current devs have some real competition. I feel like there is not a great milsim game out right now, Arma is good but old and it shows, Squad did their ICO that split the community and before that was very arcade like, Hell Let Loose is focused on balance instead of realism, and most other games fall along the same line with being good but always falling short in just enough categories to not be great.
While I personally dislike how Karmakut runs his game servers being that a casual gamer like myself doesnt want to spend a few days out of every week to perfect real world tactics in a video game or play the same match for 4 hours, I understand that there is a demand for it and if it gets good ideas flowing for other developers to take notes then I love it.

In most realistic games MG's are worse than rifles. Most games have really bad suppression where you can just one-tap the person who is suppressing you. This was a problem in Squad for years, and the ICO finally fixed it.

Alot of the stuff you said would be new like the gunner assistant gunner are not "new" per say. In karmas community we already use mods that make m240s work how you explained but less visually with ace interactions. But i do agree they have chance to take what is in arma 3s mods as a concept and make it alot more immersive and visual etc. So yeah. Exciting times ahead with this one.

Its interesting but I have to say the idea of 2 man machine gun squads doesnt sound very fun for the second person playing "spotter". I appreciate the route theyre trying to take but I think in games there needs to be some compromises in order to keep the experience fun for everyone. Nontheless will be interesting to see some gameplay to see how well it all plays together.

Majority of comments are doubters, especially so that every game we've gotten similar recently has been a complete flop and letdown.
Love how skewed it is when the entirety of the comments section is talking about how you shouldnt be forming an opinion or advertising this as the next best thing out of a trailer cause of how many times we've been tricked. This seems more like a marketing ploy from MoiDawg than anything cause the only comments he liked/hearted are the positive ones and he's kind of known for sucking up to any group that gives him access or benefits.

Honestly, i always had a hype for any new tactical military game, but the lack of that genre that can be played singleplayer as well is a bit concerning, im worry its going to be flop like six days fallujah or ground branch (i mean theres a tactical game that can be player offline like zero hour and black one blood brother that flop as well, but is because the AI not polished as well) just hope maybe on the future the game can implement a proper offline session

Nope it’s called a MilSim for a reason go play call of duty or sandstorm then. But there are actual people who want to play milsims as realistic as possible. Casuals don’t need to be catered to every time a game is created. I know it’s a bit harsh but that is how I feel as a MilSim enthusiast myself. But I will go as far implementing a system to teach new players some of the core mechanics or atleast some time of guide like teaching people how to be a medic or play a certain role effectively
