The chest monitor is a real life system, it’s essentially a small PDA that’s connected to other PDAs and broadcasts real life location. Generally it’s usually leadership kit, but it basically functions similar to how this game portrays.
A few things to note: Those are not 240 bravos in the promos. Those are 249 Saws with 100rnd mini packs, which is a solo-run weapon system. Also, Saw/240 gunners run with an M145 scope on their weapons, not Holographics; holos are very rare in the U.S. military; in fact, the primary site used on the previous generation of rifles was the ACOG or a red dot sight.
I love the diagetic implementation of the mini-map as the gps smart watch and the main map in the ATAK phone. I hope calling in support systems works like the MW19 campaign, where your character uses an IZLID or keying over the radio with their PTT. I would also love to see these diagetic features as mods in Arma Reforger.
The app they got running on the phones is called ATAK its for mil/leo/civ and its been used to bridge comms ,cams and maps in one package. Normally I would just wishlist and wait till I seen gameplay but it being made by karmakut and his guys im giving it more hope.
Potentially a good game as long as the emphasis isn't all on communications/command communications which really kill the fun of a game. In Arma there can be too much command comms where you want to shove the mic down someone's throat then force them to go fight like a grunt! Personal comms between players would be fine but hope they don't force a player to use "Proper" Radio procedure. If that's going to be the thing let them go create a 911 dispatcher game and let the player get back to the fun of military combat.
would love to be able to play as a Carl Gustaf team with a friend where one holds the launcher and fires it while the other loads it and yells "back blast area clear"

It would be really cool if this game had NPCs. Thinking mainly civilians. For example on an urban map they'd be reacting to the war around them, hiding etc. The only reason would be to increase that immersion. Maybe even animals.

Wow!! It is like my biggest wish come true!!! Thanx @karmakut for this. I can't wait!!!! I am so happy to see a FPS that has the realism of ARMA ACE!!!
From my time as a combat medic what I have found is that when it is to much for myself to carry stuff for missions I will ask to pass down some of the load to CLS within my Plt. I bring this up to the PSG and PL and they often have no issues with these soldiers carrying the extra weight if it ensures mission success. Would be cool to see this as a mechanic in Bellum as well. Maybe they cannot use the supplies but can be used as a resupply for the medic when needed. Another cool feature would be the use of SKEDS which are plastic sheets we use to move casualties in the field which is much faster then trying to carry depending on the situation.
Karma’s finally creating his perfect game. If it’s anything like what he’s talked about for years then this is going to be the coolest tactical shooter.
I see lots of people seemingly feeling slighted by the over saturation of milsims not delivering or just being too similar with each other. Fallujah, ground branch, grey zone.. can you blame them?
The problem is that all they see is a realistic game and assume it's going to be good without looking at what the game is actually trying to do. A good example is that you just listed 3 different games which are all wildly different from one another, where realism is the only thing that they have in common. Gray Zone Warfare is an extraction shooter with progression, Fallujah is an FPS made to recreate an actual historical event with historical limitations, and Ground Branch is like a milsim sandbox. All games are trying to achieve something different. If you just buy a game because it's realistic and then are disappointed because you didn't stop to think about what you actually wanted out of the game then that is your fault.

Same for RPG teams, Gunner would have to drop the ass down & point the business end up to reload or vice versa for a Carl but an AG can just reload for them much faster while they're still taking a knee allowing them to maintain line of sight. Mortar teams could drop a can of Tootsie Rolls next to the mortar and the guy on the mortar COULD do everything solo but a teammate unpackaging and hanging for you is much faster. I looove the idea of the small man teams. I’m looking forward to the delivery of this game and if the community holds it up. I’m curious to see how well a milsim tactical shooter can hold players accountable for actually playing tactically through teamwork though. I feel like a lot of these games end up crumbling at some point because the community slowly starts to lose the tactical teamwork sense. Squad started out really well with that, but the last couple times I’ve played have been radio silence and people running and gunning solo.

I wish the third game like Squad was more popular. Beyond The Wire was published by Offworld and sadly its dead. I wish it got the same treatment Squad44 got.
I will say my main concern is that they go a bit too far into the milsim and alienate the more casual player. I hope to be proven wrong though! Can never have too many shooters 🔫
Nope it’s called a MilSim for a reason go play call of duty or sandstorm then. But there are actual people who want to play milsims as realistic as possible. Casuals don’t need to be catered to every time a game is created. I know it’s a bit harsh but that is how I feel as a MilSim enthusiast myself. But I will go as far implementing a system to teach new players some of the core mechanics or atleast some time of guide like teaching people how to be a medic or play a certain role effectively

This is exactly the game ive been waiting for!! Letss gooooo
animation from "rainbow six siege" is still best I ever seen in any shooter in my life.
I wish the third game like Squad was more popular. Beyond The Wire was published by Offworld and sadly its dead. I wish it got the same treatment Squad44 got.
@@adamwash917 it was meant to have AI up front but never happened. It would have been a much better game.. live and learn. Cant win them all
How do you make those eye in the sky videoa of squad
The last games that I remember that took place in Africa were Halo 2, Halo ODST, Far Cry 2, and Resident Evil 5.
As a medic player I’d love a more in-depth healing experience
ATAK is usually a "heads-down" display
I CANT WAIT!!!
already in steam?
I will say my main concern is that they go a bit too far into the milsim and alienate the more casual player. I hope to be proven wrong though! Can never have too many shooters 🔫
Nope it’s called a MilSim for a reason go play call of duty or sandstorm then. But there are actual people who want to play milsims as realistic as possible. Casuals don’t need to be catered to every time a game is created. I know it’s a bit harsh but that is how I feel as a MilSim enthusiast myself. But I will go as far implementing a system to teach new players some of the core mechanics or atleast some time of guide like teaching people how to be a medic or play a certain role effectively
there are SO MANY casual shooters. why does every game need to appeal to casual players?
Is there a date for a playable alpha?
