Especially on a potato field server. They always have the most dog shit players in their servers. Usually it’s nothing but a bunch of morons doing their own thing, completely clueless on how to play
Player spectating/tracking tools for casters are huge! If OWI can put this in the real game, this will help make more events like this possible, bringing in more players and spectators to the game and making it more accessible to new teams and casters for analytics. Hopefully OWI will do what it takes to make Squad a full-blown esport!
I don't play this game, but I watch this channel. I'm not here to cap on anyone, everyone has a ninja afk or a distraction at some time. But, there are Squad moments that get me feeling like a wiffle ball parent, "That's right, point the RPG at the tank", "RYAN, POINT AT THE TANK!". This match has me kind of giddy.
Definitely some dumb plays, but honestly there is a lot going on in this game and especially with AT, it can feel like you are fighting with the game mechanics to get a shot off cleanly.
@@ngregoirenc No doubt, there's always a fog of war element as well. I was just playing a little bit. I don't think I could handle the stress of playing rn.
What we truly need is a way to record the game at the server level. The entire game then can be played back, and any and all action can be spliced together after the game is over. This makes sure nothing is lost.
Yes, that would drastically improve the content quality/entertainment potential. Imagine the recaps that could be made? You could almost make series following a particular division through a series of battles... such a good idea.

It’s a shame our ISPs can’t directly connect from Australia to Hawaii without going to mainland US first because that would be a cool middle point
Post match commentary/analysis would be great! Yeah would have been nice. Though the actual team was created Very recently, exactly 1 month and 19 days ago, on May 1st. So we are very new to the overall comp side of Squad (this scrim was our first actual comp match). - We all play on TPF (The Potato Fields), a server owned by MoiDawg. The helmet cam is a whole other level, that's super cool! Let's get OWI to implement that into the game! If squad get's more popular with E-sports gaming, it will be the most entertaining esports event to watch from any other game! This is huge potential for squad!
so cathartic to see the thronglers go through what i deal with every time i hop on TT's server lol. on a serious note great game from both sides. throngler pushed in and took the objective with reckless abandon, but like a python TT gained enough map control, surrounded them, and squeezed them out of warehouse OBJ. excited to see the next game.
Super excited for the new camera tools, gonna be AMAZING for EitS! This round was so fun, TT really showed their knowledge and bullied Thronglers for their early kills. Great fight!
With player tracking and helmet cams, a supercut of intense matches playing out in real time from different spectator perspectives would be awesome. Imagine multiple camera angles on a contested point, one spectator observing armor engaging, second looking at the first person helmet cam of an attacking force, while a third gives an overhead view of the battle from above with a more analytical look at logistics and movements. This is going to be awesome!
Wow MoiDawg, you gotta be one of the coolest content creators out there in general. Most gaming content creators would not go out of their way to improve a single game's ecosystem, and would much rather jump game to game following whatever is newest, playing 80 USD games they get sent for free, and forgetting about great older games just because they are out of fashion. Here you are, hosting an awesome event for an awesome, older game, and even getting some admin tooling out to improve it for everyone. Thanks man!
during Moi's commentary of Throngler's botched armor pushes I was thinking "it can be good, you just gotta be smart about it" then TT rocked up to the objective and absolutely hosed it. 10/10, the gold standard of armor plays
And this is how I envision squad gameplay. Tactical thoughts with flanking and specifically using armor vehicles properly. This is epic. The go pro view will be insane.
Small point MoiDawg, but a compass always visible would go a long way to helping the viewer keep oriented. But great work other than that. Looking forward to the competition!

At 25:00 I think Moi tricked himself a little. It seems like TT has much more map control than they actually do because there is so much red compared to blue, but we need to remember that both teams' enemy markers show up as red as well.
