thats crazy 💀
But in Russian...and you're Ukrainian...💀
That was so funny lol
That’s how it b sometimes 🤣
*vietnam flashbacks*
43:39 "There's gotta be at least ten to fifteen of them" the sign of a perfect ambush is 3 dudes, one of whom not even knowingly working with the other two, being 10-15 people to the enemy
First 10 seconds I’m gonna take a shot in the dark and say that your stupid strategy is “create a wall of lead travelling at roughly 3000 ft/s between yourself and the target”
yup
was about to write the same but with "MG 3 is the strategy ?!"
Naw it's more likely hiking for 30 minutes around the battle then camp bush and wait for enemies to renforce the battle... I as a solo player in milsims and tactical games have been doing this for more then a dacade... Which MGs do help eseply in milsims.

Stealing the enemy radio is such a great feature to have in a game.
We did it in Afghanistan and Iraq, they used unencrypted icom radios, so easy to tune in with the interpreter to find out who's doing what in what areas! Was great as Intel Agent & Counter-Intel Agent, also had a Signals Guy pretty much attached at my hip who's main job was nicknamed Bears lol but they find the frequency in the area they were using then could also triangulate their position to within a certain distance, also had a bunch of other cool shit I can't talk about, still under my 50 year Security Clearance period.
Was an amazing time as I started deployments as a Armoured Vehicle Driver then Commander at Corporal I Corps transferred to Military Intelligence, not American but worked with a Bunch of western countries between Afghanistan and Iraq deployments, some as Armor Vehicle Crewman then as Intel attached to my Country's SF Task Force for Middle East operations, so anytime I had Intel for teams it could be a bunch of different teams from my country that may get the job or if I was working with other western countries Intel and we'd do joint ops with other countries SOF Teams, bunch of different units as well.
Agreed, except Drewski isn’t using the ingame voip.
@@korniestpatchthat’s my main criticism. It’s much easier to coordinate ambushes when you don’t have to worry about the enemy hearing you
Unless you don't know how in the fuck to use or find a radio on Arma 😂😂😂😂😂

What I love about milsim games is how realistically deadly everything is. You watch documentaries about how deadly a weapon is yet rarely any game will fully represent each aspect of them for the sake of balance.
Gonna be honest, you can not shoulder an mg3/mg42 like they are in this. It may be realistically deadly, but it is nowhere near realistic.
@@SeeKrezyeah but still, big guys starve off first in war, so either way this ain't work.
@@brolaire8851I could do that
@@brolaire8851You can, there are tons of videos from Bundeswehr(german army) Soldiers doing exactly this. Sure, its hard and tiring, but not impossible.
@@TheMirkoschI’m sure with adrenaline anything is possible as well. If you’re literally fighting for your life your body would rather tear your muscles forget the pain and do whatever to survive. No soldier in WWII was “bulky” like you have nowadays anyways where you have your squad competing who can get to 210lbs the fastest of only muscle then realizing 200 might be the best.
i bought my retired Vietnam vet grandfather reforger he now has almost 4k hours on it and is the most devious ghillie sniper ive ever played with. the man averages damn near 11 hours a day during weekdays on the damn game and has to take the weekends off. He said it has helped with his PTSD tons as he now is able to sit through 4th of july with 0 scares or mental episodes. I say this with everything in me i am so glad i bought him this game. BEST 30 bucks ive ever spent lmaoo
Did you also buy him a gamer pc to run this thing? My grandpa doesn't even have computer.
I'm happy he found peace, but holy fuck would I not want to meet him in the game.
I’m kinda curious how it psychologically helps with ptsd. That’s fascinating to me. Is it a mixture of a pseudo exposure therapy and sort of giving you better memories to associate combat with? An academic study on videos games helping ptsd would go crazy
@@Ekdrink Flood your memories with very similar but far lower stakes versions of them? If your buddy dies in the game, they're still there. You can call them, have a laugh. what i have found most realistic and such an immersive experience, even without mods on the vanilla conflict servers, is that alot, if not the majority of the russian team is actually russian players, so when you do recon and stalk behind enemy lines, and they speak to each other, its in russian, and its awesome and terrifying at the same time, esp when you dont know russian yourself-
Russians probably feel the same about the other team😂
@BussySnatcher Idk, English (whether we like it or not) has become a really common language to learn in schools. It's entirely possible they already understand, versus those of us who are native to the language, who are typically 'recommended' in school to learn a second language, and the only option is usually Spanish. Which is useful if you are playing against a Spanish speaking team, but otherwise won't help here.
@@DParkerNunya Russians have a saying that goes something like “fuck learning English, have them learn Russian”. I very much doubt English is spoken by over even 5% of Russia.
@@DParkerNunya Russians have a saying about not learning English. I can’t actually say it because my comment gets hidden but I highly doubt even over 5% speak English.

@@J2540-haha I remember that
@@J2540-they were extremely fast and efficient too
I liked how at the end, they said there had to be 10-15 in that ambush, it reminded me of our training many many years ago. During jungle phase of our training and survival, we would go out in 6-4 man squads, it was usually 4 man though. Because we were taught to break off into two man teams so as to recon enemy movements, they taught us drills that if we were to come in to contact with the enemy, that were to 'shoot and scoot', basically expending as much ammunition and ordnance as possible, whilst bounding back away from enemy (but away from RP or lay up pos).
Experience had shown the military powers that be, that forces will often not stop chasing, sometimes through the night into the day. Plus you'd be thankful for getting rid of as much weight as possible. Doing this 'shoot and scoot' we'd would be as loud as humanly possible (the enemy already know we're there after all), we'd then maneuver in an opposite direction quietly, and it made us the 4 or 2 man team, seem like a much much larger force.
I don't know if they still teach it, but this does work. Bringing overwhelming force of fire tends to deter people from chasing you through scrub and jungle were you can't see more then 10 feet in front of you. People not wanting to die or look weak to comrades and superior officers and with the stresses of combat all mix together for a big ball of confusion. Not only is it great to not be chased/captured/killed, it is exactly what small recon squads use to be successful.
Great video mate, cheers.
Drewski when anyone approaches his bush: "I am heavy weapons guy..."
He make puny babies cry
The CoD4 main menu music at 28:00 was a great touch! That music has so many memories for me

how do you know?
Sucks using discord to communicate tho.
Especially at 41:00 can definitely see the advantage. That dude would've heard you speaking to your buddy if you actually used in-game coms LOL.
Easily the earliest I’ve ever been to a drewski video
lmaooo same
16 min. For me
i was earlier bc I was in the video :)
@@aidanligtenberg8373 yoo thats crazy
arma is that type of game where you crawl in bushes for 5 hours and get killed right after you stand up
I mean, ambushes are quite literally the most deadly thing you could stumble in. Idk about it being "embarrassing". lol
Yeah, I was wondering about the title. Like, this was one of the base strategy behind most of the Allies actions against Germany in Europe in WWII.
Ngl… using discord is kinda scummy when the game provides ingame options. The players you are attacking are using ingame comms and are immediatly at a disadvantage because you can freely communicate without giving up your position.
41:20 example freely communicating when definitely in ear shot.
youre right. many of the milsim servers expressly forbid it as well. they're also able to communicate with the dead using discord, which is obviously against the spirit of the game.
i hope at least they were playing on a server without any policy on discord use.
I came to see if anyone else was thinking the same thing. It goes against the whole spirit of the game.. Winning doesn't even matter in this game it's about the journey along the way and feeling like your actively in a warzone. It's one of the few games I actually came out of my bubble and used comms because it feels like a major part of the game. It makes me sad to see because some of my most intense experiences were having to go radio silence while my squad was actively trying to get comms from me because I had enemies near. This just ruins the experience for him and the people he kills along the way imo 🤷 Imagine if everyone played like this it would retract from the experience so much....
agree even when playing eft
@@ItsBaysWorld haha mg3 go brrrrrtttt
2:58. ArmA explosives' biases (or bugs) are kind of realistic. Had a conversation with a Russian SVO veteran. According to his experiences, most of RPG nade types do not guarantee the crew will die. He himself survived an RPG shot being aboard the mighty Bukhanka. Moreover, the car was crowded but nobody was badly injured. A beam of liquid metal just zipped through the lucky spot where nobody was on it's way. Maybe if it was an anti-infrantry cassete nade (still enough penetration to Bukhanka) instead of cumulative Luch, it could turn them into a minced meat, but cumulative nades suck at purposefully killing crew. The crew usually dies to the aftermath of the hit, when the vehicle explodes. But the only thing that can explode in Bukhanka (and Tiger from this video) is fuel tank.
That was whole lot of yappin brotha
Yeah rpgs are designed to penetrate tanks, not to maximize shrapnel.
One of my roommates was in a humvee that got hit with an anti tank rocket. Went through the rear passanger window and straight through the opposite A pillar, blowing everything out of the vehicle. Only minor injuries but it definitely scared the shit out of him lol.

_hEhhEE, LMG go _*_BRRRRRRRRR_*
@crazytimes288 thats not at all gurilla warfare, thats just suicidal lol but doesnt matter because you can respawn in games, so let the lmg go brrrrr
@crazytimes288 dude, guirilla roughly means you act in small units, try to operate under the enemys radar, and basically do hit and run missions against an otherwise superiour force. Therefore theres a lot of thought process behind it, because usually people dont want to die and rather choose to live to see their victory
@@nasalekausalitat Kid named jihad:
@Abshirayamisra Theres a difference between a millitia applying Guerilla tactics, and trained soldiers doing the same. I dont think that the Guerilla warfare is to blame, rather the bad training of civillians who most of the time never shoot a weapon in their life and are forced to perform against a strong millitair force
@@anicemahoganywoodtable7486 jihad was fought in many different ways troughout history, and during the heigt of the IS for example, Guerilla tactics werent used as much, because they were strong enough to claim territory the "normal way" - just conquering it without hiding to much and fighting openly against their enemies.

How does one start a career like this in TH-cam? How does one survive off of it? I don't have these answers...but I do know that I am happy Drew made it work! Luck and personality goes a long way, and I suppose having the equipment to make and record good footage(and knowing what to do) etc. 30:30, is that the CoD4 background music? I only ask cause I am partially deaf so nothing is loud and clear and, uhh, full range of sound?
I watched the progression of Johnny Mitchel with 'the connect.' he went to 1.5 million in less than a year.
Basically he was a pot dealer with great stories who became a comedian in prison. After doing some shows he got some money together and got a great producer for the first few episodes. The stories were fire and the first uploads he did went viral. He learned to interview and did some crazy shit like visiting a cartel boss. After that he started pulling bigger and bigger names and monetizing through various channels.
Basically you have to be able to consistently do wild, super cool shit and the business side requires a bit of setup from people who know what they're doing.
Success is 90% balls and 10% brains
