Considering we're in the rust belt Alex, I think you should have touched on the importance of pre-installation lubrication of threads on the strut body. I believe we get coilovers to be able to adjust our suspension more than once, before you use it, take them apart and lube the threads with some anti-seize. Then thank yourself 3 weeks later when your springs settle and you need to raise up a bit.
I run the Tein Flex Z with EDFC Active Pro on my 92 EG Hatch. The coil overs are a twin tube design. I absolutely love them. The EDFC has got to be one of the best things ever created. Next up for my car is a new set of wheels and tire!!!

My understanding of twin vs. mono tube contradicts with what's said in this video. Mono-tube coilovers seem to be the more costly option from most companies. KWV3 seems to be the odd exception because it needs the twin-tube to allow the feature that separately adjust the bound/rebound valving.
So Alex can correctly explain semi-complex physics with his explanation of what happens inside the shock but he can't pronounce epitome......JK ALEX YOU'RE A FABULOUS PERSON IM SORRY
Actually, when paired with a good damper, standard OD coilover sleeves have a lot of performance benefits and is far better than cheap coilovers because the damping characteristics are better and spring rates can be tuned. Also, having an adjustable coilover body generally shows cheap construction and a lack of development because it allows the company to build a standard size without worrying about stroke length. Basically all coilovers designed for real motorsports are made with the correct stroke in mind, so they do not require the body to be adjusted.
from what i have seen, even the cheapest coils will keep the complete travel and just adjust the spring seating position up and down the tube lowering and raising you car with out changing the travel of you suspension. and you can even get a custom shaft length when you order, even with cheapo XYZ's

You forgot to mention that 95% “affordable coil overs” have far worse dampening than most standard equipment. Also, most “affordable coil overs” come with springs that are far too stiff for street cars or even track cars with street tyres. Basically your car will bounce and not grip. If you actually buy a motorsport brand like MCA they will tell you the opposite about your base height adjustment, but what would they know they’ve only won World Time Attack Challenge pro class 3 times. Bilstein coilovers are what I run. Are you saying that the coilovers you offer are just as good? Is your warranty and performance wise just as good as bilstein?
Fitment Industries okay so I’m getting the feeling you’re dodging the question. Is the suspension coilovers the same performance or better than bilstein? Obviously bilstein takes the time to run their products through various tolerance test. Does this product also have in depth testing where we can compare data?
I'm thinking of replacing my stock suspension with coilovers later on but I'm worried that I would sacrifice ride quality also I don't want the ride height to go too low.
You definitely do not have to sacrifice ride quality to go lower, Just make sure you get a nicer set of coils from maybe TIEN, or HSD like the guy suggested before. If you get a cheaper set to save money and go low you may not like the outcome! When you're ready tho we have an awesome selection of coilovers you should check out! bit.ly/2yadOjx

So I 100% should of done the coilovers first I regret it. My question is did make a second mistake buying some 20s for my 2014 C300? Also with a tire of 225 30 R20 is that too thin? Thanks
Hello, Shoot us an. email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you!
I'm running an h&r monotube on my e46 and a kw v3 in my e36 Compact. The difference is stunning. Espacially in midspeed corners i get so much more grip it's perfect. I thought maybe it's less comfortable but the kW gives you a Lot of comfort, the h&r doesn't.
FC Zocker so which is better monotube or twintube?
What you guys think about Five 8 industries coilovers?
Doesn't twintube get filled with bubbles more quickly when it strokes up and down continuously?
Nick Amarit it does and it also shows that in the vid.
@@markkrumme5354 For shocks to have air bubbles. That's a bad thing, right?
I’m driving a 2013 Bmw 335is and am looking at upgrading to coilovers sometime in the near future. H&R has a set that state they are 30-40% lighter in weight than others. I like the idea of less weight. Should this concern me, does it make it worthwhile? Can I get your advice on this?
Do you guys sell coilovers for a renault twingo rs 2009? I can't find it on the website
quick, serious question. looking to upgrade suspension on my 2013 Honda Civic. do you know about the brands Ksport and Megan Racing? any other company's I should look into? $700-$1000 Budget.
It's an every day car. I want to optimize ride quality. lowered, smooth and more controlled. less bounce.
i have a 2015 mazda 3..ive always been into the car scene but never new the stuff that goes on behind the scenes and now that i have a well paying job im trying to get my parts sorted and learn the stuff before i get everything.. im not sure what coil overs to get, i want a flushed looked and i dont really know fitment stuff but iv e been tryna watch and understand the videos you guys post, not only that in one of your other videos you said something like if you want to really dial in your suspension your gonna wanna know what the damper and something else is..
i know this is all gonna take time but i dont wanna just get everything and throw it all together, i wanna lay everything out and put it together the right way and make sure everything is good.. ;/
ive asked some friends about coil overs and wheels, but i still feel lost.
So I try to read up on coil overs but if it’s possible can you get more in depth with mono and duel 😂 I get confused when I read
What would you choose for a 2017 wrx
Bilstein coilovers are what I run.
Are you saying that the coilovers you offer are just as good?
Is your warranty and performance wise just as good as bilstein?
Bilstein In general makes great quality products we do sell some fantastic suspension kits as well on our site too!
Fitment Industries okay so I’m getting the feeling you’re dodging the question.
Is the suspension coilovers the same performance or better than bilstein?
Obviously bilstein takes the time to run their products through various tolerance test. Does this product also have in depth testing where we can compare data?
I bought Tein Flex Zs, Ran them for about a year and a half, went to Tuner Evolution in Chicago this year annndddd now I’m going bags
Should be receiving my Tein Flex Z coils from you guys this week 🙌
Upload your ride to the gallery sometime man we would love to see how low you can go! bit.ly/2Ma4oca
does lowering your car gives you a stiff ride? or does it depends on how or what you use to lower it
I'm thinking of replacing my stock suspension with coilovers later on but I'm worried that I would sacrifice ride quality also I don't want the ride height to go too low.
dont buy cheap coils or anything with stiff spring rates. on a light car maybe 6k/4k ?
You definitely do not have to sacrifice ride quality to go lower, Just make sure you get a nicer set of coils from maybe TIEN, or HSD like the guy suggested before. If you get a cheaper set to save money and go low you may not like the outcome! When you're ready tho we have an awesome selection of coilovers you should check out! bit.ly/2yadOjx
Thanks for all your replies! Really considering coilovers after I figure out what set of wheels to run on
