You are so brave for sharing this! I feel like I could have said all of these words. We struggled financially for over 6 years while my husband was a stay at home dad and I was working for pennies. I was always stressed about finances and it made my depression even deeper. I've even lost 2 best friends over the years, and I've thought about taking my life many times. It's so difficult but we've gotten through it. I'm so glad you're still around to share these videos to educate others.

Thank you so much for your comment! Just seeing this. These experiences are so much more common than we think, especially when we’re in them. Wishing you good health moving forward!

I enjoy your videos, I'm trying to understand how I worked for 12 straight years a very demanding job a crumbling marriage and I never stopped. Now I'm just trying to survive day by day adjusting to medication wondering if I will ever work again. I miss working it's been years since I've been able to concentrate and figure out where I belong. I also was dealing with an abusive partner a double whammy.

I love your videos and your demeanor. I'm also a type 1 but not nearly as sweet as you seem to be. And it seems like you landed a dream job! I love hearing stories like yours!!!
I am a Full-time SAHM right now, though looking for at least part-time work. My best job for my mental wellness was a casual position doing crisis work where I was "relief" staff and worked as little or as much as I wanted to, provided I met minimum monthly shift requirements, which was easy. The last few months I worked there I was basically full-time employed. It was so flexible. Another bonus was that the hours worked for raising my kids as we didn't require childcare.
I've been bipolar for 20 years. Though I've only taken the disorder seriously since having a family. Here is to stability!!!

Thank you! I want to say that being a SAHM or stay at home parent is probably the hardest work there is! 💯 I know I couldn’t do it so major kudos.
The crisis work schedule sounds ideal for you. So glad you found something that fit you so perfectly. ❤️

@@ourbipolar Yes! Being a f-t sahm mom is not ideal for me. I actually desire a job outside of the home and I'm very much looking forward to it again. I've always maintained that working a job outside of the home is actually a part of my wellness.
I'm very introverted and need my alone time to thrive. I'm going to start scheduling some alone time 1x per week, every week as I've been neglecting that. Even if just to get out on a long walk, sip a tea, window shop. Or go to a cafe and read a book without my kids around. Anything.

@darbirhian Scheduling alone time is a great idea. I actually work from home, but I’m alone since Bryan is a teacher and Pearson goes to school.
The summer is a different story! 🤪 But like you I find time for myself. It’s so incredibly important for keeping me stable.
