This is so relatable as an autistic person who was late diagnosed and has been masking my entire life trying to be accepted.

Thank you for being so honest Belle! The part of dealing with it and not wanting to be that ...person, was very helpful for me (as a young woman with chronic fatigue).

Belle told very personal emotions and yet they are fully acceptable and Belle worth of loving. Respect!

These videos are invaluable. It's so interesting to see this behaviour as self-harm. Thank you Belle for your courageous vulnerability and thank you Alex for giving clarity and accessibility to such important and life-altering truths.

Thankyou. I'm ok. But my husband tells me I'm not and I've believed him for 44yrs. I hope Belle gets there. It looks like she is. Dont let anyone tell you you're not ok. X

@@AlexHowardTherapy love your programs. Doing the one with Gabor and Hamid. It is really spectacular best program I’ve ever done on healing my CPTSD. Best money I’ve ever spent. I’ve suffered a very long time especially thru more consciousness and healing but your programs shows the tremendous value of all parts of our lives. I am greatful that you are pursuing healing for so many of us.

Thank you for these insightful videos and for being so courageous, Belle. I hope the sessions bring you some peace of mind and help you move forward to a happier phase of life 😊
Allowing others to witness the process of therapy may give them the strength to step forward with their own problems. I, for one, would recommend these videos to someone close, perhaps worried about entering therapy.
Drop by drop, and meeting by meeting, the world can start to heal xx ❤❤❤

Would love to know how you would go about counselling someone who was raised in a 'cult' and abused emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Being vunerable and being your true self was definately not ok and not safe.

As it happened I produced a documentary 8 or so years exploring some of this - check out How I Created A Cult on Amazon....

I can relate deeply to this, but what if that feeling is true though? What if the false version of me is the one who can successfully pay the bills and take responsibility for my life, and the real version of me is lackadaisical, unproductive, gullible and sometimes irresponsible but more at peace?
The constructed version works very well in the world, whereas the natural version will end up broke and homeless, and the battle between the 2 is exhausting.
    Thanks for your videos Alex.

I'm surprised they haven't got into the big why before...I mean everything comes from the first trauma/s. It's clear that one needs to work on the consequences later, but the big question is always the how did we get here, what happened, at least to understand the dynamics. The next episode seems to get more to the roots, but yet I'm surprised it's not been talked about so far.

As a counseling student, from my experiences so far, clients subconsciously ask if they can trust this stranger. They take time to know this professional and open up that hard topic such as reading aloud raw writing as Belle did. His psychoeducation helps her understand what she is doing and what is happening in the process to first approach and next know how to start the work.

@chloewright3611 Maybe it matters if you are still unaware of your trauma. She talked very positively about the family so far. I started my trauma therapy knowing exactly what had happened, so we were very open about the people and dynamics that got me there.

From my perspective, it's really important to take the therapeutic process one step at a time... it's not just what we say, it's how we say it, when we say it, and how it lands 🙂

But myself was not and have been enough. The bad in me has been seen more than the good and I have so much good. Then I question if I really am good m. If you’re not good and don’t feel valued and then in turn feel sad bitter and angry we do have low self esteem. People do treat you how THEY think about you, not how you think about you. My true self WAS so rejected. People need to be HONEST. There are so many shitty people with great jobs, money, friends and spouses and a lot without. I feel so many don’t take responsibility for the bad things they’ve done for me. I see so many people more impolite and more selfish than me who seem to get away with it. For a long time I never thought anything was wrong with me until people demonstrated so much that was. I’m very pretty, a human rights activist, help rescue animals, have shown compassion to violent people and still get neglected and mistreated and excluded. I’ve never understood it and never will.
