The best and most healing thing I’ve ever learned was dealing with the inner critic. In previous videos from Alex, I heard him tell a woman to tell her inner critic to f-- off and I immediately froze thinking "we can do that?!" I’d always thought my inner critic was me - who knows how dark, terrible and unworthy I am so could never be lying about me to me. After a session with my therapist and working on my own with Alex’s guidance from his other videos, I was able to identify the sources of my inner critic and began telling it to f-- off! It began to shrivel and for the first time in my entire life I finally had a sense of peace. My mind quieted and it was the most incredible thing I’ve experienced in my many years. Thank you, Alex - from a very grateful woman in the states

I loved that clip too! I’ve only seen the Short of it but she immediately looked happier after expressing it. I’m going to have to track down the full episode of that

@ I think it was in Haley’s sessions, but I don’t recall which episode.

I've virtually deleted myself all my life and am now so tired. Trying to be more aware of the very destructive inner critic. Thank you for your courage Belle. I too have not really lived in my body as life was too painful.

I wish Belle could see what I see of her. She is strong, beautiful, courageous and willing to learn and be vulnerable. She's intelligent for her age. She is brave to share her journey with us. Thank you Alex. I learnt a lot today. I was answering how did it feel for me in my emotions along with the video.

I can so relate to this. My father was the same...critical and body shaming. I'm in my 60's and it still impacts my life and how I feel about myself so awesome that Belle is doing this work now....may you recover fully and spend life knowing your are valuable and worthy. I think youre fab. Belle!!

How Alex tells her "The problem was never with you" and how Belle responds emotionally and cognitively is such a golden moment, opening the door to liberation from self-blaming.

Phew, this one is going to hit me hard as someone who recently discovered through therapy that I went through emotional neglect from my parents 😢 its very hard to come to terms with especially when your parents provided for you in all other ways.

Well done Belle for doing this now, whilst you're still young enough to truly heal. Most people can never do this & life passes them by & the grief leads to physical health problems on top. Childhood emotional neglect is no child's fault, and painfully follows one through life. Distraction masks everything, but there's no real healing. You're so brave to do this with Alex who is fantastic & I wish you so well on your journey Belle. You are a beautiful young lady. Take care & good luck. The best life is ahead of you for sure ❤️

Such beautifully open, heart felt vulnerable, and productive discussion. I think that this is what we've lost as a result of being within a society founded on genocidal white supremacist colonialism. We so need a return to our hearts, to our place in the natural world, and to each other. Thank you so much, and may you all be blessed. 🥰🕊❤

Belle you are beautiful! You need to get a new mirror if you see anything but…
You resemble Selena Gomez! I think she is absolutely adorable 🥰
