Hi there! I am owning edifier r2800 and Sven Stream Mega. Like them both, however, it feels like it's time to move on and this s2000 MkIII looks quite attractive. And what I hope is that the sound is as great as it is described on the net. So, what do you say?

Honestly I don't think you need any DAC whatsoever. Even if you do get one, since these are active speakers the built-in DAC (very good one I must say) is gonna override it anyway.
On a different note, for another passive speakers I use SMSL, those are very good for speakers up to 8ohms.
