Every time I see that green Chevy sitting in the background it reminds me of the one I had 30 years ago. Midnight blue and sitting on 40’s!!! Man, I had a lot of fun in that old pickup. Oh yeah, nice job on the stove too!!!

@@westcoastsaw1368 😂 I’m 6’3” tall and Old Blue was kinda difficult to climb into. I downsized from 44’s to 40’s and the bedrail was still taller than me. Years later I removed six inches of lift and downsized to 38’s. If I had it to do all over again I would run the 40’s. I feel like they’re a good compromise, not to small and not to big.

We don't need to worry about heat up here in the great pac Northwest! 😂 when I drove a 359 long nose Pete and a 69' Mack bulldog for Atlas out of PA they had an oil burner furnace in the shop. Used diesel engine oil=nice heat! Greta shut that down though and their wash rack for trucks too 🙄 #earthfirst #logtheplanet this stove kit should be up for sale in your store soon right? 😉

We cut/stack our own wood in our "woodshed" on our ranch for our 4 families that use it (and others in town we sell to), then I have to grab truckloads to move it to my property. Anyone who has had to stack/cut, etc... knows that is a thing of beauty.

Nice job! It should last a long time. I built my fireplace insert, about 1986, out of 5/16 plate steel and lined the bottom and sides with firebrick. I also put a flame diverter on top, inside that warped, but still worked well. I made my door with the slot for the rope on the door so it wouldn`t warp. I cut a hole in the door to put in some neo-ceramic glass, I think it was called. It looked and worked like new in 2009 when I left. I think the new owners are still using it. I built it in one night because the flippen oil stove was a piece of crap and quit working! I hate oil stoves! Take care

I have built one tubed heat exchanger and have several friends make other variations. They do heat well for a while. The one thing we all forget is creosote build up and how to clean the things during the season. Once a year solvent wash and sandblast does a soso job. We cam to the conclusion that gaskets and disassembly were the only real solution. It is good looking, likely drive you out of the shop at temps over -10F outside. Light weight and portable, too!
