2008 Honda Element - Center Dash Removal and USB Accessory Install

In this video I go over the removal process for the central dash trim panel, radio, and shifter surround. I will also remove and change the climate control light bulbs and most importantly add a much needed additional feature of a USB port to my shifter console. I need to do that to paint that piece by my shifter and my air conditioning knobs. I want to spray paint that piece. Any suggestions on how to paint the circles around the speedometer/gas gages, etc? Thanks!

There is definitely some degree of disassembly... I had been contemplating this myself, but ultimately a good masking job with tape, paper, plastic etc. Then scuff the paint that's on there to get a good surface to adhere to.

@@BILLT_YT it would be one of a kind as far as I can tell. Element stuck in park unless override is pushed. Disassembled as far as I could get and couldn't get close to seeing it, I think I could see the plug for it but it seems like its really buried in the shifter pack.
