    Thanks so much for mentioning that the AUX port ends up as AV on the stereo not AUX... thought I'd done mine wrong as AUX on the stereo input list wasn't doing anything... selected AV and worked right away!

    Thanks for posting! Curious into which input you put the subwoofer line?

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure on that but it's pretty self explanatory once you get in there and see how the sub is powered from the unit. There is a specific harness that comes in the kit if I remember correctly. Match that to the connector on the back. Reference 1:54 to see what it looks like.

      Update - Ended up being one of the bottom two inputs. They both seemed to work, just I just picked one. Thanks again for the video!

    Did you have any issue with the door locks after installing an aftermarket radio? I've read that it can cause problems

      No issue there...

    Are you able to independently operate the factory subwoofer bass levels after installing this deck? I had best buy install my pioneer deck and the guy who did the install said I can't do that anymore. I don't remember why.. If I want to adjust the bass I have to adjust the bass that controls all of the speakers. :(

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, in my installation I am able to adjust the subwoofer independently through the stereo interface. If you have an EX, I can't imagine why the factory subwoofer would/could not be connected. Sounds like a error in installation to me.

    Does your radio have navigation? Mine has a wire for car speed signal imput and I have no idea where it if this write exists. Mine is a 2003 Element but this is the closest video I could find to mine

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not hook up the wire that you are talking about. Speed is calculated through the GPS and the navigations seems to work fine. I don't recall specifically, but there was some issue that made the process of hooking the wire up more complex. I'm thinking that there was no actual way to hook it up.

    Did you need to buy the honda aftermarket mount/trim to fit the pioneer radio?

    Hi you did show how to conect to the car wire but what about the radio side to where

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not really sure which wire you mean. If you are referring to the XM radio antenna, I decided to wait to do that as I don't really use XM radio or subscribe. From what I understand it is pretty labor intensive to hook it up and involves running a cable to the rear, somewhere.

      He asking about how the wire harness plugs into the back of the deck. How about the speaker RCA plugs? How did you install them? What color to what plugs in the deck?

      It is. You do have to make sure that the sub is turned on in the 5200s settings.

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry I don't recall. The red and white RCAs from head are going to run to either a power amp and/or the speakers. I don't recall RCA's being attached or connected to the harness.

    Where did you connect the speaker wire that’s coming from the metro harness. .

    • @kRoy1247
      @kRoy1247  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I recall, I don't believe there is a speaker wire that comes from the the metro harness. I believe all the speaker wires are connected to the AVIC. Sorry, can't be much more help on that. EDIT: Those RCA jacks should plug in right to the back of the unit.

      @@kRoy1247 sorry not speaker wire. Its rca cables for the speakers . My pioneer has 4 female rca, red and white. They are marked fronts and rears. How can i tell which ones are left and right speakers? Thanks

      @@Pokka676 I think you will have to test before you completely reinstall the unit back in, if the male vehicle cables are not marked.

      Sorry about that. I wasn't filming the process step by step. My solution was to reset the process and the unit, then back up a few steps and start at the beginning. Eventually it began to respond as per the expectation.
