The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is a purpose built track weapon that you can also take grocery shopping or pick up the kids from school. It ran a 7:18.36 at the Nurburgring, compare that to 7.29:57 by a pedigree'd German competitor. The Project 8 follows the F-Type Project 7 as a car designed by the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team. It boasts adjustable coilovers, allowing you to dial in the car's aggression on the road and track. It is the best handling sedan I've ever driven...and I really, really want one.

About the grading system:
All grades are relative to a car's respective category. For example: an SUV's score cannot be compared to a sportscar's. Different segments are graded differently.
I lean toward and prioritize performance on my scale. Suspension reflects the balance between handling and firmness of the ride, but also varies based on class of car (i.e. a luxury SUV is all about luxury, therefore suspension score is graded based on luxury and not handling). Power is about straight-line speed, which is affected by power-to-weight. Interior takes into account aesthetics, ergonomics, material and build quality. Design is highly subjective and nothing but personal preference. Likewise, so is sound.

In person, the P8 is magnificent.
I see BMW is raving about their new Nurburgring lap record, in 2023. While the P8 did the same in 2018, once the suspension was dropped to racing mode. Such a monster of a car.
Regret not buying this one.

It's one of those cars I'll need to hunt down. I miss my F-Type R for many of the reasons I love the Project 8

@lockingdiff Look for a Project 7. Also, F-Types modified by Lister. With the swan-neck suspension, the P8 is far different, but Lister makes some great Jag upgrades.

@@Spenny909 I've got 2 Project 7s in my area. One had a crash, and the other the owner won't sell. I don't blame him haha
