Harry, thank you so much not only for actually driving this car but documenting it so the rest of us can enjoy it as well. IIRC, Jaguar was limiting production to 300 (?) , making them somewhat of an "instant collectible." I talked with a couple Project 8 owners last year at Pebble Beach and they had no real plans to drive it. They were just going to tuck it away in a nice warm garage, keep the miles off of it, and watch it increase in value. I really hope those guys are watching the videos you've made on this fantastic car. Because not driving it is a travesty and a disservice to both car and owner. Great job Harry! Thanks mate!

Those youtubers need the money to fund their current life. Harry has already funded his life and wants share his love of cars. If youtube shut down tomorrow he wouldn't be affected in the slightest, we just wouldn't see it anymore. Even with no views and no sponsor he'd still be financially liquid where a new splitter or speeding fine is nothing more than a slight inconvenience of paperwork.
No speedlimit to us Germans is like guns to the Americans. Will never be restricted. In the past few years there were some politicians bringing the topic up fews weeks before elections. every time they completely ruined their results. don't mess with the Autobahn

Well, this video proves what we already knew - Harry is "The Man". What a car, the way it gathers speed along with an epic soundtrack is just tremendous. As they are only produced in such limited numbers, it's cool Harry got a 'spot on' number plate for it - well deserved.
Absolutely love this car, makes me wonder why Jaguar axed the XFR? They need to make a new XF SVR to take on the E63S/M5 (the XE SV Project 8 clearly shows they can do it).

This car definitely passes the feeling of acceleration through the camera, that quick squirt up the autobahn to 170 odd was surprisingly satisfying to watch on my laptop screen.
I enjoy the fact that Harry relies on his maps instead the Navigation,he refers to the sound as wonderful noises,what s guy,and he knows these fantastic routes,Wow very engaging hand gestures.👍👍👍

Amazing Jaguar. Driving on the autobahn can be exhausting when driven at very high speeds. The peripheral vision is nonexistent. Then add wet or snowy conditions adds more fatigue into the mix.
Love this video Harry, I love how the car is so useable, yet will slaughter pretty much anything else on the road, I know what you said about them having to be LHD but it is such a shame there won’t be any RHD versions.
Dear Harry, Next time you drive to Modena try this route: Frankfurt - Hockenheim - Stuttgart - Konstanz - :Lichtenstein - Chur - Lugano - Modena. On the German section it's all wide open and Lindau at Lake Constance would be a wonderful stop-over city. Bon voyage!
None of these responses understands my comment. In most supercharged engines the supercharger spins at a random multiple rpm higher. In this car it’s exactly a doubled multiple of the engine speed (2x or 4x or 8x...)

It's really surprising to me as someone who lives and drives in Germany, as to how "bad" Harry found the driving conditions. They are quite normal from November to March and there is no way any normal German driver would have stayed stuck behind a lorry just because of that little bit of sleet in the overtaking lane. Speed is obviously something you are brought up with and get used to. Just like the Americans thought 88mph was so fast it could send you "back to the future" because they cruise for hundreds of miles. Whenever I pick up friends from Frankfurt airport and put my foot down they love it and are thrilled at speeds which are just "normal" for us here. Of course, we all know it's not going to last and Greta and the green fun haters will get their way soon. Enjoy it while you can.

Yet another excellent trip video 🌞. That XE P8 seems like an ideal car for a blast down the unrestricted bits of the autobahn. Left hooker and 28 mpg! Looks like they finished the road works in the Gotthard Tunnel too. I got stuck in a 90 minute delay there in the summer because of a temp. light controlled 1 way contraflow due to roadworks in the tunnel.
Forget Top Gear, Forget The Grand Tour. Just superb no nonsens passion for cars. When will Harry go commercial, could probably make a buck or 2 from these amazing videos.
Good to see someone using winter tyres. In the UK, it would appear 95% drive in the snow in low-profile summer-friendly tyres at 10mph, get stuck, then blame Highways for not putting down enough grit; it's the equivalent of going for a winter hike in your flip-flops!
Very true, they make such a difference. Think way more manufactures should fit all-season tyres, rather than summer tyres to their cars but then everyone seems to be more concerned about looks than usability and ride when buying new cars these days..
Just seen the brief overview they did about it on the Grand Tour, but a good old Autovbahn run displayed in a good old Harrys garage video is even better to watch :)
Harry when you go on Euro tunnel just ask when they are in the process of loading to be put in with the vans and buses. You don`t want to be parked next to those ordinary cars anyway.

Underbird [former X8X8] My 2001 (Ford era) XJR runs like a train. Its supercharged 4.0L V8 is the ancestor of this car's.
The XJ220 is the most underestimated super car ever. Even from Jaguar itself . And that’s very sad. Well said , a true beast !
