Fun video and great progress--first batch of steel almost here! I was worried you were going to forget my previous advice (I think I gave it) about making sure you can reach all of the blocks to replace them! But you took care of that around 27:20, so crisis averted!
I've kept that advice in mind ever since I posted a picture of a chiseled polished basalt furnace cover waaaayyyy back when, long before the Eisenholm series was a twinkle in my eye! :D
One of my favourite series on the entire platform. Eisenholm is a real gem and got me into vintage story big time. Thanks for the always great content Sol!
Definitely my favorite vintage story creator. Your mic is easy on the ears, and your voice is very relaxing. I've listened you the entire way through my current playthrough
3:42 I'm not sure what drifters are supposed to be made of, and I recognize it's probably metal. But it would be interesting if they would actually freeze in the winter and you had to actively do something about them as they slowly build up around your home and then thaw and swarm come spring.
What a treat finding your channel a few days ago. Always nice to see more people covering this game. Great editing, great design and great game knowledge. I'm definitely getting some ideas for my next build.
Thank you so much! I owe a lot of my game knowledge to binge-watching Kurazarrh's guide series before I ever started making the Eisenholm series! Vintage Story very quickly became one of my favourite games after a friend introduced me to it, so I couldn't be happier seeing all of the new channels cropping up with VS videos :)
I'm currently watching the entire series im on episode 9. But i wanna say that it's an awesome series so far. The voices you do and the commentary are entertaining. Makes for a great background while chilling, playing games, and other stuff. Keep up the great work!
Definitely took longer to put this one together while working on the Ghosts short film in tandem with it! Now I can solely focus on the film to get it out soon, then onto the next episode!
i've actually been inspired to go and play the game myself because of this series! im currently in the early bronze age of my first ever run, winter is slowly approaching though so im preparing for that first rather then progressing though the ages. its quite the fun game to play!
36:23 I dont play this game a whole ton, but when I did I always set the years to have 30 days per month, but I never considered the fact that it would allow you to actually celebrate real world holidays, seems like a fun idea for sure though.
Another day, another amazing Eisenholm episode! I have to say I laughed way harder than I should've at the helve hammer going nuts. And what's that about the drifters starting an HOA? They don't want to spawn in the walls, so they're trying to rewrite the furnace blueprints! 😂
I really liked the idea of a raised coop, so I'll see if I can temporarily replace the ramp to get chickens in there before conceding and bringing it down to the ground 😆
That it will be! When that first batch of steel is ready, though, I can make a set of steel splitter plugs to roughly quadruple the speed that I'll be able to collect stone for castle construction!
By the way, I don't know if you know this already, but the cementation furnaces can share refractory bricks between them, so you can make better use of the bricks and the space.
I could, but if I ever decided to have staggered steel batches, then if a brick cracks from one finishing, that'll interrupt the other furnace's process. I dont mind the few extra bricks to have separate walls! :)
Thank you! If I end up being up around the mechanical room a lot while not using the hammer, I'll likely put that together earlier. For sure, though, once the permanent workshop placement is set, each station will have a transmission and clutch so we don't lose power to unused stations!
Regarding the furnace faces, you could chisel the coal chamber a little more and make it look like a skeleton, it'll look very cool with those fiery eyes.
Oooo, I'll test that out in my design testing world for sure! I really like the idea of making the coal filling slots look like eyes. My initial idea was a large helmet or head statue, so a skull could potentially work with that :)
@Solstin yea I just figured out the time in my own world like 3 days ago I thought it was only 1 day between refills but was wrong then noticed the 32 stack is the time it takes lol
Nah the dancing chickens is pretty realistic. Chickens are quite stupid. Source: I've dealt with them before, the eggs are great and they're entertaining to watch. One of my chickens was so stupid she always got stuck in the coop, usually took her several minutes to figure out how a door works. Named that one after my dad's ex wife (not my mother THANK GOD)
@@NicolDumitruTomuta I do enjoy automation quite a bit lol I'll try to see if anything from QPTech will fit aesthetically with the workshop plans, but otherwise the mod will for sure be installed for a modern build down the road! :)

Thank you! Always glad to introduce someone to this fantastic game! :)
Same with me. This series singlehandedly made me buy Vintage Story
Same here!❤
same for me I wait patiently for the next episode
Definitely my favorite vintage story creator. Your mic is easy on the ears, and your voice is very relaxing. I've listened you the entire way through my current playthrough
Thank you! I get pretty particular about audio quality, so I'm glad that's paying off. :)
I'm glad youtube recommended the 7 hr episode. I've been binging this series ever since 👍 New subscriber here 😀
Woo! Glad you're enjoying the series! :D

Oh that would make spring cleaning take on a whole new meaning!

babe wake up solstin uploaded another vintage story episode
Only took an extra week and a bit compared to normal lol
I'm currently watching the entire series im on episode 9. But i wanna say that it's an awesome series so far. The voices you do and the commentary are entertaining. Makes for a great background while chilling, playing games, and other stuff. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I'm glad my occasional tangents are entertaining! XD
Hope you continue to enjoy the series as it progresses! :D
23:53 you were classified as unsavable on day 1, sorry we can't help you
Understandable and deserved... XD
Can't wait to see how those nerves of steel hold up in 1.20 :P
Poorly, I'd imagine! I've seen those new mobs!
Hurra! It was getting oh so thin with Solstin.
Definitely took longer to put this one together while working on the Ghosts short film in tandem with it!
Now I can solely focus on the film to get it out soon, then onto the next episode!
We love your insanity!
Good thing it's the entertaining kind of insanity and not the worrisome kind! XD
i've actually been inspired to go and play the game myself because of this series! im currently in the early bronze age of my first ever run, winter is slowly approaching though so im preparing for that first rather then progressing though the ages. its quite the fun game to play!
Nice! Best of luck with your first winter, hope you've got some food stocked up and warm clothes made!
does anyone else want to eat the refractory bricks
They are not made of birthday cake. I repeat, they are not made of birthday cake! Think of your teeth! No! There's glass in there! D:
Yes yes yes. Love getting videos from you.
That's good, cause I love getting videos out to you! :D
Masterclass of an Video👍
Thank you! There's definitely more of a how-to spin on this episode, I'd call it more of a journeymanclass XD
@@Solstin 😂😂
Hey, your back! Let's go one of my favorite series is back. I've steeled myself for such an occasion!
I never left! Just been working away at the Ghosts short film at the same time as this episode so it delayed it just a tad! :)
@@Solstin it feels like ya left but now that I think about it, that's probably just me.
@@lmcg9904 Probably just from the silence as I was knee deep in the editing room lol
woah heck yeah midnight release of my favourite series
Hehehe, I feel like I've been doing a lot of midnight releases for the episodes lately!
I Love your content love your humor thank you!
Thank you! :D

There'd be a lot of prep-work for each holiday (at least the first time) but it could be a really fun time on a multiplayer server!
No idea how I missed this episode!
Loving keeping up with this, as the series that got me into Vintage Story!
Keep up the great content!
Sometimes the notifications don't kick in properly lol
Been working away at the next episode, so I'm glad you're enjoying the series! :D

Breakneck hammer speeds are the goal once all the windmill sails are in! XD
23:44 “😱”
-Fergus the Furnace
He's going through a new-life crisis lol
You're not just Standing, you're running, jumping and climbing a LOT in this episode! Building those arm muscles in prep for a new coop build?
I really liked the idea of a raised coop, so I'll see if I can temporarily replace the ramp to get chickens in there before conceding and bringing it down to the ground 😆
awesome as always! i have nothing of substance to add but comments are good for the youtube algorithm
Well I appreciate that nonetheless! Thank you!
Dancing chickens XD
They're doin' their little dance!
Oh man, I hope to see you complete that castle. That's gonna be a lot of work
That it will be! When that first batch of steel is ready, though, I can make a set of steel splitter plugs to roughly quadruple the speed that I'll be able to collect stone for castle construction!
I just bought the game last week cause of you and ive already sunk 45 hours into the game. Amazing videos!
That's awesome! Sounds like you're well on your way to sinking hundreds of hours into Vintage Story lol
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! :D
My friend introduced me to this and wow, this is awesome!
Thanks, I'm glad you like the silly escapades! Tell your friend I said thank you as well lol
I love this series so much
Thank you! :)
Lol I'm glad I'm Australian so it's only 4:50 in the afternoon so I have a better sleep pattern then the person above
Definitely a far more reasonable upload time on your end, then lol
Are you having a Wilson moment with your furnaces? lol
Until it stops looking like a face, I think I'll always have a Wilson moment with the furnaces! XD
Another great video to brighten the day.
Thanks!
I aim to please! Hope you enjoy the episode! :D
@@Solstin Indeed.
And this time no hotdogs were harm by sauerkraut...
oop! look at that, time for another 10 part supercut~
It's just about that time! One more episode to round off the transition into proper spring and we'll be at compilation time! :D
After like 12 hours I’m finally caught up from the first episode. I think it’s been 12 hours at least.
That's some dedication! I hope you at least took breaks for food and sleep! :o
Omg TH-cam has failed to update me on your uploads! Everything is ruined forever!
Oh well time to binge! ^-^
Good ol' TH-cam notifications (or lack thereof) at it again! XD
This series made me download Vintage story
Happy to have introduced you to a new game! :D
Hope you're having a fun time!
44:43 "All around me are familiar faces"
That's not a face I'd want to see staring back at me in the middle of the night! XD
Great video, you truly are an entertainer
Thank you, I do my best! :)
Finally all caught up
Nice! I should be able to get to work on the next episode soon now that the short film for the 10k special is just about ready for upload :)
You always post at midnight on my end, so I blame you for my bad sleep scedgule
It always lines up that I'm finishing a video just as I'm about to go to bed, so this tracks 😆

Thank you so much for enjoying it! ♡

"They're taking the hobbits to Eisenholm!"
In which voice you'd like. 😊
Ooooo the perfect crossover 😆
Great video as always!
Also, you could use a transmission and a clutch to stop the hammer from CLANG CLANG CLANGing when you don't need it.
Thank you!
If I end up being up around the mechanical room a lot while not using the hammer, I'll likely put that together earlier. For sure, though, once the permanent workshop placement is set, each station will have a transmission and clutch so we don't lose power to unused stations!
You want the wind near Gale? I don't think she'd be very happy about that!
How else will we get a majestic shot of hair flowing in the evening breeze?

The grind!!!!!
The grind never ends! :P
excited for the next 7 hour long vid agai heheheh
It's just around the corner after the next episode!
Just don't set fire to that last indoor chicken with your torch like I did with my first. 😞
Oh no! I haven't set any chickens on fire yet, only had them phase through the windows into the void, never to be seen again 😕
What’s heavier. A kilogram of steel, or a kilogram of feathers?
Trick question, the answer is a kilogram of caramel popcorn!
Why not make a few lights for the workshop so you don’t have to run out of there when the rifties are there? Not sure how it works.
I could, and honestly I should. Just a matter of making more metal plates to get some more lanterns up lol
32 hours per refill on the coals
Good to know! So that steel batch should be done before month's end, then!
@Solstin yea I just figured out the time in my own world like 3 days ago I thought it was only 1 day between refills but was wrong then noticed the 32 stack is the time it takes lol

I guess they make up for the lack of intelligence by being soft and silly? 😆
Is there an iron anvil about to process the blister steel into ingots on?
That is still on the to-do list! Definitely didn't forget until you just mentioned it!
Do you now why you can bake lime but not cake? Because lime is not a lie.
No li(m)es detected here lol
Yes, I know I'm not perfect! What of it? 😢
That means there's always room to grow! It's a good thing :)
I wonder are you gonna add the QPtech mod to this series?
I don't know if I will for this particular series, but if I do a more modern style build series after this one then for sure I will!
@@Solstin id like to see peak automation and see some dynamic factories + ur great building style :)
