That's the beauty of VS : Each little things matter contrary to Minecraft, everything takes time. Funilly enough, once you get use to the game, it becomes easier and easier, got myself surprised how fast you can build stuff if you concentrate on each individual step instead of the goal.
I always try to make sure my base doesn’t get too big so it doesn’t feel too empty! This game makes that task quite easy lol, there’s a lot of stuff to build!
@@TimmyTwoNipplesthe game even encourages separating your base into multiple rooms and building rooms in a certain manner, partly created by the higher difficulty in landscaping or sourcing certain materials, partly because of the room and insulation mechanics. I can only wish they add more, because it's limitations that spark creativity.
Honestly found vintage story WAY too late, this game gave me that nostalgia when I first got on Minecraft but it cranks it up to such a fat scale it's so good and I couldn't be more glad I found this masterpiece
What I really love about this game is how slow it needs to be taken. Everything takes effort, often effort you can't spend while battling weather, hunger and drifters, so you find yourself taking things as they come. In minecraft everytime you build a base, you feel like you're going by a checklist. There are bees in the game, I need to make honey, there are animals, so I need to build the goddamn Noah Arc, otherwise I'm depriving myself of one of the drops I could get from them. In VS this kind of thinking gets you killed in the winter. I had much more fun doing bare minimum in Vintage Story, than building an entire village in Minecraft on survival.
The feeling of accomplishment in VS really can't be understated. If you've played, then you know, and seeing this base and all he got done in 200 hours is honestly impressive. Most immersive survival game out there.
Hey, Crusader here again. I always love your videos, and I would love to see more Vintage Story. When you first started, I wasn't on mission yet and had a multi-player world with me and 4 other friends. I took the roll as builder and Forger, taking insperation from your amazing builds to make my own base for me and my friends. Thank you for this series and it's always great to see
Lmao I really hope this game gains the traction it deserves! I think other survival games will definitely be noting the mechanics it has in the future :)
I've been quietly watching all of you're past VS videos and have honestly had so mutch fun. Seeing how someone completly unfamiliar starts out and figures out the in depth mechanics over the span of a lot of very entertaining episodes has just ben great. I can't wait to see where this journey leads next and wish you a great survival in the lands of Vintage Story.
I would not be surprised if you have a space ship at one point and a modern looking house in game because of installing mods or not, great job man, absolutely amazing video.
bro, I can't imagine how much effort went into this world. Although the building system in vintage story allows you to be much more creative than in minecraft, someone who hasn't played Vintage story before has no idea how hard and grindy it is to collect all those resources to make a survival base like this guy made. My deep bow!
There's a mod called chisels & bits in Minecraft. If you're ever planing to play survival and want to feed your addiction to chisel mechanic as in VS, it's a perfect pick. The chisel there works very similarly. Btw, the base is awesome. I'm honestly impressed.
Do you think you will, 1. Continue to play on your world while waiting for 1.20. 2. Wait for 1.20 and do nothing on the world. 3. Do a challenge play-through like “Hardcore Arctic Challenge”. 4. Start a server for you and your friends to play on. (With or without mods).
cant imagine spending that much time on building. i would normally go out to the ruins to collect cobblestone because making your own is more time consuming. really impressive and inspiring
What an awesome way to commemorate this milestone!! I've said it before, but the way you narrate and edit your videos is just.. so cool. I also really love the graphics you add sometimes!! And the way your base has evolved, all those rooms... it's amazing. I love it so much. This series has just been such a treat to watch, thank you
Concerning the chisel, is a cake a waste of wheat, eggs, and milk since you could use those resources for healthier food? Maybe, but living life to the fullest is worth the cost.
Man, I'm SO glad TH-cam decided to recommend me this! I got the game a day (yesterday) later and have already sunk in five hours :) Thank you for an amazing inspirational video!
Hey, you should consider maybe adding Vintage Story to the title of the video. It’s probably a good thing you don’t have all the Qp chiseling tools mods! Haha! With all the copy paste rotate etc. youd have a field day!

Amazing series dude! I binged all of this and had as much fun as if I was in your place and your video quality is way above what to ask for. If you decide to continue this playthrough or maybe start a new map for a video I'd like to see you explore the diffrent hemispheres.
