In Washington State blue dots are legal. I was at the state capitol when the for the ceremony after the legislation was signed. But ironically not that many hot rodders and car owners use blue dots anymore.
Model T this job requires A screwdriver a file and a grinder ! You are finding about after market parts ! some fit great . and some need a file and a grinder ,A drill and a big HAMMER! Thanks for showing the modifications that you made to the part. have fun !!!!!!
Yup, no substitute for improved lighting to make Roadies visibility more prominent. The size, weight and speed of the vehicles traversing the highway today are no match for Roadie. I recall a flasher for the brake switch that activated when the pedal was depressed for 2-3 seconds before illuminating constantly. This little rascal drew attention to every brake application from following drivers. It can be irritating in stop & go traffic for those behind you, but this just confirms its effectiveness. ❤️
Absolutely 💕 That’s a great option! I told Paul that when I take Roadie out for now on I’m also going to put one of those caution ⚠️ signs on the back also, we do that when we drive our 1929 Fordor called AnnaMae!
Tina My husband and I have just recently entered the world of Model A's with our purchase of a 1930 Model A closed cab pickup. Both you and Paul have been a HUGE help as we get things tweaked, straightened, and in working order. We reference your videos all the time! Great job and it's great to see a fellow "girl" working on the A's.
I installed LED headlight 6V bulbs in 31 roadster and upgraded my brake, tail and cowl light bulbs to next higher candle power bulbs, and it made a Big difference in brightness, almost double. Love your channels, and I’ve learned a lot from you two. Have fun with your new purchase. 😎
Tina, So glad you have a Model A of you own. I know Paul is dedicated to authenticity but I suggest a Third brake light centered on the rumble seat lid where modern drivers expect to see it.
Great video Model T, I think the Len with the Stop engraved is alot brighter from here then led Len, lol, Question is the engraved Len with letters stop a aftermarket or a Ford Model A part, thks again.
I got the complete taillight units for my Tudor. If I remember right I had to cut the center wire for the signals to work. Definitely extremely bright! I also got the LED headlight bulbs too. That was a great addition!

Nice kit; unfortunately with more and more repops tweaking the parts to get them to fit just right is the rule. Re that cork gasket I would’ve just cut through the central part to get the wire in; shouldn’t have been a big deal in that particular application. You are such as strong woman; didn’t even flinch when you cut your finger, ouch! I would’ve been swearing, complaining and sucking on my finger 🤣😂
Hi! I ended up leaving the second cork out and the ring because the whole kit is so much thicker, just didn’t fit everything when installed. Lol, you’d be screaming like a girl 😂💗 Thank you and have a wonderful week!
Tina, first, good job, sorry that you got injured. Second, the "corky" thingy is called a gasket. The red wire could be unsoldered from one of the circuit boards and then reattached or just cut and spliced back together. Also the bulb sockets are for a 1156 type bulb. A one contact socket. A two contact socket is for a 1157 type bulb. Just for your own knowledge to impress your hubby. haha

I have one gasket..,as far as vibration, this brake light is very thick, so thick that both gasket will not fit, I do have the one and absolutely no more room and no vibration at all and I will not be driving in bad weather, but even if I were to, the fit is that tight and there is the gasket facing the opening to the elements. It will work for me. Have a great weekend 💗
Sorry you got cut. Dress that wound. I got one from a car and it got infected fast. Vehicles carry more germs than you think. Hope that this does it for you and will light up the night.
Thank you Craig 💗 yes I washed it with soap and water well, then sprayed it with peroxide and keeping an eye on it, so far so good 🙏💕 Ya being almost 100 yrs old who knows what germs and the metal…signs of infection are non existent at this point 🥳 just taking a bit to heal as it keeps bending in the crease and rubbing/hitting it on things 🤪
nice job! Always happy to see the can do attitude , ,if it wont quite fit, no problem. Your taillight housings may be aftermarket and just a tad smaller than original. Stay safe on the highway.
Good mod, I had a similar experience with someone not seeing my brake lights on my Studebaker, so ended up putting a 3rd brake light in the rear window. On your upgrade, could you have cut the 'center' portion of the gasket in one place, put it between the red wires, and put a little RTV or similar to 'glue' it back together? Just wondering. Love your roadster!
Hey thanks for your awesome message! I had thought about making a cut in the gasket, but the new light is so thick that the gasket wouldn’t have fit anyway, I couldn’t even use the ring due to thickness lol I figure I won’t be taking my roadster out in bad weather but I still put the one gasket on the outer side to keep moisture out just in case. Hi Tina, I to have a 29 roadster. I'm trying to finish the top, where it meets the wood bows, is there any material from the backrest that goes around the wood or does the top attache to just the wood??

In California you can’t have blue in your lights because the vehicle code says you can’t…my guess is maybe because cops/officers use blue in their vehicles lights?

Thanks for your message Rodney 💗 Luckily every wreck I’ve been in was obvious to cops and insurance that it was the other driver 100% at fault…even if that woman had hit me from behind…it was at a stop sign, her fault obviously in that case also lol My last wreck was a high speed head on collision due to a drunk driver in October 2011, I’m happy that I’m alive to tell the story, in the beginning due to bad brain trauma I lost approximately 90% of my short and long memory, at this point in life based on what my life was pre wreck, I’m about 50% back. I might make a video about this at some point 💕

You left the gaskets out…so you’re not concerned about vibration and/or sealing for weather conditions?
