The best part: he invited him, and sent a flatbed to bring it to CA, and will return it by flatbed, to showcase a pride and joy project.

My father had a 26 model T back when he was in high school in the late 40's and sold it when he went into the Air Force in 1950 , he would always get this dreamy look in his eyes when he would talk about it , miss you pop .
This guy is actually laid back, well-spoken, knowledgable and can hold his own in Jay's presence, even on such a difficult subject. A task many professionals failed to accomplish here. I see an automotive-media animal being born, give him some sort of a car show!
One of the best episodes ever on this channel. Jay's honest enthusiasm and a young guy with his first finished car project - just amazing! Thanks Jay and Brandon!

Well, just to set YOU straight. I only used money as an example. In reality, I HATE money. It is the root of all evil. As far as clothes, I DO believe one should take pride in one's appearance and not look like one of the sideshow freaks in a circus. And I judge no one. As for being a -bag, I have spent most of my adult life in public service both in my professional career, in politics and in my church. Can YOU say the same?
Jay reminds me of all my dad's buddies pulling up on their bikes and rides, talking mess to each other and taking in the young kid. We're truly lucky to have him.

What a remarkable young man. Well spoken, mature, clearly takes initiative. Father and stepfather must be proud! The Jay Leno thing is a bonus.
Brandon seems like a down to earth rock star, and I give his dad a lot of credit, he must be a very supportive father and a good guy.

Lost my father earlier this year. He loved the show. He restored a '26 version of this model I remember well. His was made in Canada and had "made in Canada" stamped on the wheel caps. The car would fly down the highway doing nearly 50.
You might know this; prior to '26 US-made Model T open cars didn't have a driver's door, but Canadian-made Model Ts did.
Years ago I tried to buy a very nice '25 roadster body made in Canada, and it was in Ontario. Never could get in contact with them.
A woman back in the '20s "incubated" her baby in a Model T in 1927. That baby was a preemie and in those days they weren't likely to live but her parents were moving so put her in the front seat in a box so the heat and light through the glass is what allowed her baby to live and start to thrive. That baby was my mother who went on to have me and several other children and many grandchildren. She lived till over 80. That Model T saved her.

Looked like Jay really enjoyed chatting with the owner of this one, and it’s easy to see why. Very interesting car and a passionate owner.
Very much so because it was not a corporate executive/ PR person trying sell him some snake oil about a million dollar hyper car where only a handful will ever be made, the company is out of business in a few years, and all the paid, and bought for car reviewers wonder why.
I love how down to earth Jay is with everyone- he doesn’t care who they are, what they do - treats them all the same.
I didn't think much of this young fella when I first saw him but I was pleasantly surprised. Seems like a good guy and I love his enthusiasm for his Model T and the work he has put into it.

To many folks judge on looks alone before getting to know somebody. Remember when you were young and the hairstyles and clothes we wore. Yes I thought so, we tend to forget.
You know the fella was sweating saying “where’s my baby?” The whole time Leno was driving it! Definitely a labor of love!
More than anything I've enjoyed the conversation between the two men. Amazing how a common passion vanishes any generation gap!
25 years old and in the process of restoring a 1962 ford f100 unibody and have a 1968 Plymouth valiant as a project daily driver

My grandpa had told me stories about this vehicle everything from getting stuck on wooden roads during the rain from the swelling of said wood to smuggling alcohol during probation times lol guy was a great man/soldier/ father/husband/grandpa. Rip paul reedy.
It's really "prohibition times", when the sale of alcohol was, you know, prohibited. But, otherwise, great post!

Love how Jay says “where I live there are some hills” referring to the hills in Beverly Hills, but only in the way that it is an annoyance when driving old weak cars.
Jay is truly down to earth and chill guy who has been fortunate enough to be able to collect rare cars, something many would love to be able to do, but now we can instead relax and enjoy these amazing videos!
Great video as always, and fun to see what other people has done to their cars!

Did something for not much money. Was handed nothing but advice, got his hands dirty, made it work.

I think he wore that whole "outfit" on purpose. I think it would have been a scream if Jay dressed the same way for the segment. But of course Jay doesn't have the hair!
It is always good to see youngsters get involved with cars older than their parents and grandparents!
Man how things have changed. We used to drag stuff out of farmers fields ( mostly old pick ups) when I was young and get them running again. Most of the time they were under 200 dollars and or a trade. We would clean then up slap on some accolade enamel paint with a brush . Drive them for a short while trade or sell them then find another. No one would give them a 2nd look hardly. No magazine would put a pic of anything without a fancy paint job , high dollar parts and engines. Much less put them on a Media/TV show. They were just old clunkers. Nice to see these type of budget builds getting the recognition they deserve.
Between the ages of about 18 to 26, I had about 10 vehicles.
I think you would really enjoy the Cold War Motors channel...he is doing the same thing. Saving "field" finds and getting them running.

Brilliant to see the young guys enthusiasm about his special old car. Watching videos about perfect pebble beach cars can be very dull and boring. Good luck to him, a genuinely interesting video, and heart warming. Thanks to Jay Leno again, probably the nicest car collector whose ever lived.
Young enthusiast are the lifeblood of antique cars future. One of my 'daily drivers' is a 1930 Ford Model A coupe with rumble seat. When speaking with anyone interested I always invite them to set in it, start it up (not drive it) touch it, rub it, climb on it etc. I then very often quote J Leno by saying "this is a car, not a show piece. It's for driving and enjoying. Drive it and enjoy it! when it breaks....fix it and drive it some more. It's a 'car"!
It's so nice to see someone from a younger generation have a car like this and truly appreciate it.

Best episode yet of the pandemic edition, in my opinion. We need more episodes like this one and the new yankee workshop style episodes. Plus major props to this kid who obviously loves really old cars, and wanted to get something unusual as a first car. And he didn't butcher it, no camber, no chrome 22" rim's, underglow, or a LS swap. Nope left the old girl the way she was ment to be original with minor touches in homage to the ratrods of the 40s & 50s.
Kudos to this kid. What a champ!

This man is a treasure. The more I watch this channel the more my respect grows for Jay. He’s slowly becoming a hero of mine. I’m a younger guy (30) seeing a even younger generation tinkering with automobiles and what not is even more amazing. Hats off!

Former neighbor had 2 of them in a special dual-garage house. Every Xmas he put out the 'truck' model with Xmas lights and a music player in front of his house. He moved out of the house into assisted living years ago. Xmas isn't the same without him. This episode helps push away some of the holiday blues this year.

Good for you! I very often use a 1930 Model A coupe as a daily driver and I like to quote a bumper sticker I once saw......" More 'Smilage' to the gallon"! I'm sure you know the feeling.
You know, if I had a place to put it, I wouldn't mind having one of these just for the sake of it. It'd never be my daily driver of course (that's a Model 3). But I don't have a place to put one so it's irrelevant.
You can tell Jay is comfortable in this episode.
That was a real nice gesture to allow the owner, Brandon, to come chat with him about his car; its one thing with the high profile guests: Ferrari collector David Lee, Peter Mullin, Camillo Pardo, and others but it is nice to see Jay let everyday people come by the garage and hang out.
Finally someone who actually knows the car they brought. most people jay gets on this show buy the car and don't see it till it's finished respect to the dude
I had a big grin on my face this whole episode. It was great! Brandon seems to be such a nice guy, who wouldn't like him! Jay, as always you did a great job interviewing him and I always learn a thing or two each episode. As Brandon said at the end, "We live in quite the world". Been watching JLG for years, this is my new favorite episode. Wonderful repartee between Jay and Brandon. Can see a little Jersey 'tude in the young man, self assured in a nice way. Two East Coast gentlemen sharing a common bond.

Thanks Jay for supporting the younger crowd they are our future to keeping classic cars alive . My son is 21 has a 82 Oldsmobile 98 Regency. It's not a Mustang or sought after car but he loves it and takes great pride in the car. We rebuilt the whole front end , did some interior work and other odds and ends . He loves bringing it to shows . Car gets alot of attention most everything in 80s rotted out in CNY he lights up when people asked about and say I had one. Christmas this year he received set of Crager mags he cant wait till spring to get them on. Thanks for all great videos and inspiring so many Jay.

I think I enjoyed this video more than some of the past ones. How much more real a car guy show can you get? I particularly like the idea of having younger adults showing off their projects for not ridiculous amounts of money. Get a few of these from time to time from jay. More please! Seeing jay reference that vanadium steel. Reason for it lasting so long is they have used that to make tools for years as well. You don't see metal like that used in cars these days where it will outlast not just the original owner but many generations of owners! Thanks jay and brandon!

Awesome to see a young fella getting into old cars, know an old guy up my way who in 1988 drove an early Ford from Lismore NSW to Canberra ACT for the bicentennial show, then drove it all the way back, believe it took 5 days each way, gotta love the dedication to do something like that, he still gets around in a bunch of old Ford's today, Rj in Oz
