Ben, I got a 2023 XLT, 302A, 5.0 V8, Sport, standard bed, for $64,000. It is 5K miles now. It is great and I love it. However, couple dealers offered me between $40,000 to $43,000. How come does it depreciate that fast? I wonder if RAM or Chevrolet keeps their value better.
Here in Florida they’re between 43-46k all engine types in the STX model. 5.0L V8, 3.5L twin turbo v6 and the 2.7L turbo v6. I absolutely love the LOOK of these trucks, but as a Toyota owner to 4 vehicles that ALL lasted over 300k with NO ISSUES and basic maintenance. I can’t justify buying one of these because the reliability is just not there. 10 speed tranny and the rubber belt driven oil pump just to name a few ticking time bombs in these trucks, the risk isn’t worth the reward.
This has to be a joke $63k with a key fob that dates back to the 2017 ford fusion along with such a huge Antenna, even my grandpas 02 Camry had a better way of hiding it. Sometimes the small things can make a big difference. But of course I’m just being picky.
Ordered mine through work/fleet since I basically get a free truck every so many miles/years lol. I use it for personal and work, average 50k miles a year. Im happy I dont have to spend 68k on a new truck, thats how much mine totaled up to. Yes that includes basic dark blacl/gray seats lol. crazy i know. just thankful for my job.
Hey Ben, you have any idea why ford took away the chrome grill on the XLT? I noticed you have to step up to the lariat now to get the chrome grill. Also, what’s your thoughts on the under seat storage? Looks like it takes away from having the flat floor.
Never forget something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. As long as a person is lined up to hand over the cash. Then the price will keep coming up.
They where not too far from putting the piano black tri on the mirrors, slackers. The GMC Sierra elevation comes with dual exhaust for the X31 pakage, for almost the same price. And with the 3.0 duramax that kicks ecoboost butt in fuel economy, and sounds much better, and it comes with 20" wheels, not 18.
Ford has a habit of making their lower trims look better than the higher trims. But now in canada an XLT goes for up to 86k, which is what my tremor 402a was, I'll run my 2022 tremor to the ground !
Solid payload. I love BAP and I wish I had waited to order my gen 14 truck rather than just before Ford introduced it, but I'm really not a fan of the front. It reminds me of a minivan for some reason, or a sedan maybe. Its just not "trucky" if that's a thing.
I bought mine with leather which you could not do on an XLT until 2024. Previously, you'd need to buy a Lariat to get factory leather seats. Mine is the magic combo of 303A with XLT BLACK APPEARANCE PKG PLUS according to the sticker. A 302A with BAP won't get you leather seats, from what I understand. My truck was from dealer inventory.
