I have been watching your videos and tried window tinting but when I finish there are always fingers and creases around the top edge and bottom edge of the windows plus after a week or so the film starts to peel off when I roll down the windows after letting it sit for a few days. That being said I have one request please? I have a 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe and I don’t think I have seen you tint a window that is about the same length as the windows on the coupe. If you come across doing a tint job on a car window of similar size I am begging you to upload doing one please. Like pretty please with a cherry on freaking top??? Ive applied the films and peeled off the films maybe a week or two later cause I feel like people are lowkey looking at me like “Dafuq he do to his windows” y’know? Lol. Please and thank you !! Love how detailed you are in explaining the process in tinting. You’re awesome!
lol. Im in the midst of this. I bought 100ft roll and a tool kit to tint my b7 a4 and my sons 11 vw cc. lol. I got his rear quarters done so far. After 3 times of trying different windows lol.
I meant to buy that Snitty Cutter when I placed my order last week and forgot. whoops. That just looks so much easier to trim the film down using it! I guess next order. My order got to me here in Oklahoma quick too! I ordered it Thanksgiving day and it was filled the following day, and I got it first thing this morning at about 9am. Thanks for the quick shipment too by the way! I used the door shield and seal guard and slip solution and Hybrid squeegee today on a door window too, along with the Ultra thin sharp carbon blades I bought from you also. Let me just say the slip solution is a game changer when it comes to doing the door windows because it slides into place without catching like using Dawn and the Baby shampoo is bad for! Also, the Hybrid squeegee is definitely next level to the Flat Out and the Clear Crush squeegees! I could visibly see it pushing more air and water out after I had already hit it with the Flat Out squeegee! Very glad I invested in that and the Tint Slip solution and the Ultra Thin sharp carbon blades you sell! I think you call them The Ninja blades. Anyway, just thought I would leave a good review on the items I bought from your online store, Matt! and I do like your Glass Aide seal guard tape and the doorshield also! They are so easy to use! The door seal tape is so easy to tear to size also! It adheres to the door seals very well! Great stuff and glad I bought it all! oh yeah, the Earlex SS77USSG Steam Generator is actually a Wagner brand. I used it today to remove a piece of film from a door. I paid 72.00 dollars for it on Amazon after tax. It has a 12' 3/4" flex plastic hose and a 3' power cord. It doesn't have an on/off button. You plug in and if you put hot water in it from the tap, it takes around 10 minutes to start pushing steam out, and you don't want to put your hand to close to while it is going! It removed the film, which had only been on there a few weeks, and removed all the adhesive in about 15-20 minutes. I didn't really time it but it was quick! Really glad I got it and hope I make more money removing old film with it in the future, but I thought I would mention it since I was able to use it today; I thought it heated up quickly and done a great job removing the film and adhesive in a short time, and it's a known brand, which is good also. It's not just some off brand. It says it's made for wood bending and they give instructions in the booklet that comes with it on how to make the box out of wood to bend wood. It also says it's good for removing wall-paper, so window film is right up the same alley. Just FYI for anyone thinking of getting a steamer for tint removal!
I know it's not the TH-camr's fault but everytime I watch these kind of videos, I felt like I'm capable of doing the same thing. After struggling for a weak, I must say, it's not easy at all. Tinting the side window is pretty easy. But when it comes to shrinking the film for the back and front window, everything went south. You can shrink the film too much, too little, press it too hard and create a crease, cut the film with shaky hands and totally miss the border, install in a weird way and create fingers that wasn't there before... Not to mention you have to do it indoor to avoid dusts otherwise you will see tiny dots on your window. It took me about 12ft of film to finally get hang of the shrinking process (kind of) and I still installed the film like a crap. So before you actually put quality film on your window, I strongly recommend to buy some cheap practice films and find the best way for yourself, or just go to a shop if you don't even have that time. They earn money for a good reason.
Whenever I shrink fingers they wrinkle but they keep getting longer and I end up chasing the top of the finger with the heat gun and it becomes a mess and ruins the film. also what tint do you recommend practicing with, I'm using gila because it's cheap but will it be harder to shrink? I don't want to waste hundreds on good film because I suck at tinting and just want to practice on cheap stuff
Hello, I need help as you are professional tint guy, could you please check my post. I need specific tint which has no haze, and mixing with green glass which will give you a black color. You have more experience, maybe you pay attention for that
I went to school for tints and that white tape method helps me alot with my confidence to get back into it, thank you
How can i buy it??? Im going crazy!!!

Boys don’t let this wizard fool you, I just spent 80$ and 7 hours of pure frustration and rage. It’s not worth it. Just take it to a shop

These comment sections make me feel like some kind of god lmao although yeah it took a lottt of money and time to be able to do it.
Its about perseverance
Just get gila 20% static tint it doesn't stick to itself if it does it easily detaches
I’ve done 2 Camrys this week. When I first started Camrys always intimidated me bc of that back glass but once I got it I love doing them.

How does geo shield compare to other films like xpel?

Also every time I try snap shrinking it makes this large horizontal bubble across the tint and it won't sit flat anymore
I'd love a video of different problems like these and then what the solution/mistake is so us beginners can learn what we're doing wrong. Thank you
Which side heating. Clear film side? Or other side
What film brand do you use for back windows that east to shrink?

How do you keep the doors open while tinting and the battery doesn't die?
im wondering same thing. i have a tint shop and im always worried about someones battery dying
Is shrinking always needed?
For back windows ? Yes with the exception of flat glass like a 2003 Silverado back glass
lol the c4,5,6 corvette windows absolutely suck to tint. Like these camery’s but 10 times worse
