Very entertaining! Most importantly, informative and educational. I love your videos , a friend of mine that does window tint showed me your channel , I’m very thankful!
that' superb, thank you. i'm just mentally preparing for a tint job on a new car, not the first time, but oh man, just feeling the nerves already. It's great watching you doing it and making it look easy.
Meanwhile here I am with my hatchback removed, all body panels off. Wiper motor off. And on try #363 with vertices and horizontal wrinkles that clearly want to pay rent with how much they’re staying put
So the glass aid bottom goes along the top of the inside trim, and then you cut in the middle of the glass aid. So seems the cut tint will be a tad shorter than the area it fits in. Will it stretch out and fill that space when installing it? Or is it normally to have a tiny bordering gap? First time installing on my car so wondering what to expect. Thanks!
Hi thank you for your awesome videos but I have a quick question I could film by hand do you think if I get the machine will be faster and better thanks
What type of tape do you use to mark the edge of the glass? I am referring to the white tape, I am from Argentina and I would like to be able to use the same tape since it is quite frustrating to put a light on the inside of the vehicle
Is it normal to have excess material that isn’t fully stuck down when tucked in? I had my new Mazda CX3 re-done 3 times at Mazda because they did a crap job. I thought issues were resolved but now the pattern on the back window isn’t cut very well and has excess tint that isn’t stuck down… sigh..
I think is depend of quality of the tint , because I tried with different types of film however still failed over and over again ! Made me sick! Could you recommended a good one ?
small bubbles are usually due to the fact that your surface (glass) was not even, probably used, with small surface holes on it. or you did not remove all the DIRT prior to applying the film. ALWAYS do a thorough prep. work, if your surface is not 100% clean, you will have bubbles for sure. (And also remove any excess material from the old glass) If necessary, you can use some 2000 grit sand paper with water to even out the surface from the almost invisible dirt deposits.
Watched your vids for two weeks. Then tinted my car, this exact one. Of course the you make the hatch video two weeks too late. Rear window shrink went as planned but that little curve at the bottom does sneak up on you , nice job calling it out. Would really like to see your method on the quarter windows on these. They’re tough. I got all the big windows fine but the quarters could use a redo
If you mean that you have bubble lines, its could be that you laid you the film incorrectly. The film should be unrolled horizontally, and then shrink the top and bottom. If you try to shrink the sides the film will get destroyed. If you lay the film vertically, then you can shrink the sides but not top and bottom.
The main reason why people can't tint side windows is because they leave too much excess when they trim the edges. As a result, they'll spend most of their time trying to tuck tint that is larger than the available space in the window, which always ends in creased tint, attraction of unwanted particles contaminating the tint. And of course if they ever manage to tuck the oversized tint, they'll hear the tint fold, lift off and scrape against the inside cavities of the windows when rolling them up and down. Use absolute minimal excess (still need excess, just very little) and see if it works better. The second main issue most people run into when they can't tint side windows is having excess tint lift off the bottom edge of the window. This is usually due to people not shrinking the bottom few inches of the tint before removing the plastic backing and applying the tint to the inside of the window. A third issue people run into whilst tinting side windows is that when you are cutting the top edge of the tintint along the glass, you need to make sure that the end tip of the retractable blade holder is lightly pressed against the window as you drag the razor across. Not doing that could allow the razor to not cut alojg the window and either fold the tint, catch onto and pull the tint, ripping a U-shaped section off the tint, or cutting away from the desired path. Other than that, the only other issues peoole have are not knowing how to insert the tint into the window. Or using the wrong tools. Some squeegees look like the correct one to use but are spring loaded and as soon as you apply close to enough pressure to squeegee the tint, it will buckle and hence leaving bubbles. This squeegee is common in many squeegee kits on eBay etc. But squeegee that has the blade fully fixed. Also you need to have a triangle squeegee so you can squeegee into the edges and corners. One more mistake people make is improper preparation work. You don't just need to wipe down the whole door you're working on, but the doors or panels next to the door as well otherwise the tint will get contaminated when you move it around etc. Also when doing prep before tinting, you need to use both an industrial rectangle razor and the ling retractable razor to scrape adhesive, rubber and contaminents off the glass right behind the bottom edge seal and the top edge. Also the sides as well, they might have torn off pieces of old tint. Other than that it's just the right process and technique which you can learn by watching lots of youtube videos of people tinting. Or even tiktok videos nowadays.

very nice to see you working, you're a big pro...🏆
Thx for the tutorial... I'm still a beginner...& trying to build a career in tinting
Bro thats a damn good method with tape
What was in the bag that you spread before laying the film??
Onu gizliyor söylemiyor çünkü bu bir yağ veya bir krem olabilir
Great work but what if the harder squeeze doesn't remove all water? Could this water evaporate eventually or the tint is ruined?
Excellent teaching, good pace. thank u

What kind of scrubby do you use?
Why does the film bunch up at the sides for me? Does this have to do anything with me prepping it and not laying it down correctly?
Man I keep getting a lot of tension in my corners, and i only mess up on the corners
