I wish I knew this when I did my first windshield on my own car 😂 had one little hair piece on the left bottom corner, but was too scared to peel the tint back and try and remove it. I was too proud of the first windshield tint job I did 😄

i tinted in high school as my first real job. back then we still used wet shrinking and you had to have the fingers vertical. horizontal "waves" would 80% crease. ah memories. years later i did my cars with with the dryer method but im too old and fat to bend around anymore. i could still do it, just takes me an ass of a long time. i did windshields on the side after the local shop stopped after they cracked down on them. it was easy 300$ a pop for a while. havent touched film in 5 years but i still get the itch looking at the left over rolls i have stacked. tinting is that one thing that looks so simple but takes so much fiddly experience to do right. watching this with the context is so much more gratifying

@@auggieitisarellano7645 Cool, I got it backwards, sadly the point still remains that in Australia where I live, any degree of tint on a windscreen is illegal so something 100% clear but with UV blocking properties would be ideal. UV here is harsh as F down here .

Why tint the windshield? Would this help prevent fogging?

I don’t think windshield tinting is legal where I live, Ontario, Canada.

They do make windshield ceramic tint that is 70% which you can't even tell it's on there. It would still help block heat and protect against UV. Darkness in tint is for privacy not heat reduction.

That's years of work, trials, and tribulations....My luck I won't do so well if I tried. I can't do everything..at least not perfect..on my first try... I'm pulling up to get mines done.
