Only shrink up or down. Many wont include that in their tutorial. Wasted lots of expensive tint paper trying to shrink in all directions. The moment I learnt that im a pro at shrinking.
@@WilliamJones-i7z There is a way the paper should sit while you shrink it. If you rotate it 90 degrees it becomes harder or impossible to shrink properly.
@@tonnyochieng appreciate it bro been teaching myself to tint for the past 4 days now my car is almost done it has been a serious challenge way harder than I thought it would be
Mate I've watched hundreds of videos on how to tint and i have to say, this is the best one yet. Very well explained and not boring. Well done and thank You
Awesome vid! Minor point, since there will be some who need it: _the backing film should always face you_ ...when you're on the outside of the car window
I'm going to start tinting I'm a 19 year old with no purpose to pursue at the moment but tinting has always stood out too me. I'm going to give it a chance I'll start by tinting family cars & hopefully be ready by January 2023 to start tinting actual clients
Excuse me sir, I believe the world owes you a medal, I've tinted only a few vehicles, all mine, but some of the smaller tips I had to learn myself. Thank you for going over all of the small things
Best winding tinting instructions I have found yet!! People make this seem so complicated and scary, thanks for simplifying and making it not so scary.
I watched 30 other videos to get aquainted w tinting, I have never ever tried this before . After watching your video I totally tinted 3 windows I’m very very happy w my results and That’s 100% thanks to you for covering ALLL my questions easily you made it super easy to understand and for that thank you very much ! Cheers HannaH Tennessee,USA
I was nervous about doing my windows but this has made me confident. Thanks dude, excellent tutorial, it weirdly kept me captivated being full of useful information.
Thank you so much for taking the time to thoroughly explain each and every step of the window tinting process! I've had to watch so many different tutorial videos in order to learn a step here and there...I really wish I had come across your video first! I could've avoided watching quite a few unnecessary ones! I really appreciate you taking your time to properly explain each step from start to finish. I feel al lot more confident tinting my car for the first time now, thank you!
Amazing 👏🏽 thanks mate, I've watched like 3 videos attempted my car and wasted x1 3m roll practising. After your video i breezed through it like a pro. Thank you so much 👍🏼
so glad i watched this...not only did i learn way more than i ever thought, but i liked an subscribed just because you offered the free info card at the end. thats the way to help people grow and be professional starting out. kudos to you my friend. much love
I felt very foolish for my methods while watching this video, but now I feel great, because I know how to do it properly only need the skills. Great video, other ones didn't realy cut it for me.
Thanks a lot boss! I’ve lost my pilot job because of pandemc and been planning to start auto window tinting business. Not only that I subscribed and liked, I also removed the add blocker for all your content. Thanks dude, very apperciated 🙌🏻
Best video on window tinting I've ever seen. You really get into the details of what to do and not to do. Other videos the guys just do it and I don't know why they're doing it. I'm planning on do this myself very soon.
I don’t think I will be doing my own tint. That being said, I have watched several videos trying to understand how it works. This video is incredibly informative and has a depth of information. Well done!
I was interested to see how this was done properly, after I invested $950 to get my car tinted. I have seen too much poorly produced and arguably inaccurate information provided on TH-cam by what I would consider unqualified individuals. This, however, is the opposite. This is fantastically well done. Clear, explicit instruction and demonstration. It makes me believe I can do it. That's good and bad. He makes it look so easy, but of course, like most things, when it looks easy, that means you've found someone very good at what they do. It isn't actually this easy. Well done! I may sign up for the course just to gain the knowledge.
Fantastic explanation, I bought some tint a month ago and have been putting it off. Have been looking for a good explanation of window tinting and you have done it, thankyou.
Just had a nightmare time using Gila film doing a passenger van for a friend. I wish I had found your channel yesterday. I'm going to have to redo two of the windows because I had some creases, but I feel much better now. I didn't realize it only shrinks up and down.
Just tried my first tint yesterday,on flat windows on the side of my minibus. Each window was just over 1m long,64cm high.Problem i had was keeping control of the film whilst taking the backing off,it was a nightmare!!It just seemed to have a will of it's own and stuck to itself on the sticky side then it was impossible to unstick from itself!1m long film is difficult to control, especially if you were to whip the whole backing off at once! Method i ended up using was just take the backing off at a corner, then sticking that corner onto the window then reach up under the film and pull the back off from that corner diagonally right across constantly pressing the unbacked film that was uncovered onto the glass as i went. Film i used was cheap crap to practice, next day it was full of blisters and really, really thin creases,so small they couldn't be removed, sure it was faulty film as i didn't cause the creases!!
You can always use that side for the other side of the car if you mess up or when you're doing the job from the beginning you can have the sticky side facing you or the opposite side of the other side of the vehicle
Saved hundreds by watching this video and tinting my own vehicle. It can be tedious at first. I will offer some advice though. If you are forced to do this outside in the elements like I did ... make sure it's not a windy day.

Very very very informative video! I wish I saw this before I first attempted tinting my windows, I listened to the wrong advise from a so called professional stating to always unroll the film with inside facing down instead of how this vid explained not all tint manufacturers put the backing on the outside and some do the inside. I made this mistake when it was already too late, I didn't prep the opposite side window yet and had just peeled the tint apart and needless to say I ruined the whole sheet. But thank goodness there's this school that provides ample information about the task of tinting. Thank you for your experience and expertise. Very much appreciated
