I think you’re right. There should be an app to control the lights.

How does this compare to the Sutefoto LED660?

    Yep, needs a remote

There should absolutely be a remote control. I'm wondering if there is any mechanism for that (i.e. a universal remote control lighting app)??

    • @AllAboutVideography
      @AllAboutVideography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Unfortunately, it is not remote control ready. So, nothing is going to work with it.

pixel K80rgb better than neewer, the CRI 97+,0.5m 5500lux,2600k~10000k color temperature but neewer CRI 95,0.5m4800lux,3200k~5600kcolor temperature,As far as I know, in addition to being available on Amazon, they recently launched a new shopping website Favparcel.com 25% discount on all products

Hi Micha, First, I don't have the newer 660 to do head to head comparison, but there are things to consider.
More LEDs does not mean more power. In my review, the K80 with 312 Bi-color LEDs did as good as the GVM with 480 Bicolor LEDs. So the number of LEDs not necessary means more power.
I am not sure if the dimmer on the newer is a true 0% to 100%, maybe it is, but I personally did not test it.
The k80 has a more temperature range than the 660.
The K80 is cheaper by $30, and if you apply the coupon ( If it is still available), you can save an additional $10.On the other hand, the Neewer comes with a case and also can be controlled with an app.
Going by the pictures of the 660, I love the display on the k80 much more.
      I hope it helps.

@@AllAboutVideography Hey again, I ended up buying the K80 and love how bright it is! Only problem im having is that there's a super high pitch sound when the lights at 100% brightness and it completely kills my brain. Is this normal? Both the panels I got had this problem.. :(
I ended up getting the Neewer 660 RGB because the k80's sound issues and I'd say its about 25% less bright, but the app control is a godsend.
Right now im waiting to hear back on if i can exchange my panels for a set that doesn't give me head aches.

@@micahmahaffey5919 Hi Micah, No, It is not normal. It is a shame you had it with two units.
Did the noise appear both with batteries and power supply?
And yes, a remote or an app can do wonders.
If RGB is not the primary reason you got this light, maybe you should go with a different kit. You should check the Viltrox VL 200.
