  • This is not the Sokany X60, Even though it looks identical to the Sokani X60 and has the same X60 output.
    It is the Ambitful FL80, and I assume it is a rebranded Sokani X60.
    But Ambitfull did something we all wanted and wished Sokani came with, a battery-operated light.

    Sokani X60 is not 100% • Sokani X60 is not 100%...

      @@ZakariKha The footage is unedited, shaky footage( My apology ). Surprisingly, the X60 is brighter.

    Great video comparison,
    Most reviews on the model of light is usually on the RGB version, not many reviews on the Daylight version - glad to see this review in the daylight version
    Can I ask your opinion though, if this light has enough power to just light or even just add a little bit of contrast to a backlit subject under the shade with the sun behind nearing sunset or during golden hour?
    Looking for a portable, battery powered light, that has enough power to not necessarily to overpower the sun, and have been considering and eyeing this light especially for the price.
    Either way, thank you, have a good day and God bless

    So I've received this light today and there's a few things i've noticed, there's alot of play between the v-mount clamp and the battery plate not just a little (at least on my copy) and it rattles, also the bowens mount is very tight and you have to really force any modifier larger than a reflector to get the light to lock on properly to the modifier.

    • @AllAboutVideography
      @AllAboutVideography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Bowen mount will lose after a while. So don't worry about it.
      As far as the V mount bracket. Make sure it's locked. Listen to the click.

      @@AllAboutVideography it does click in tight when it first locks on but as soon as i put the batteries in then it loosens due to the weight, i'm not sure if this can be fixed by adjusting the screws or if it's just poor design, my v-mount cheese plate locks in to this with no problem

      @AllAboutVideography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JimmyBlanco I assume it is with all the units. I have the same problem. I am planning on glue two-layer of duct tape on the plate to take some of the free play. I'll let you know if it works.

    Just for clarity, is this FL80 a rebrand of the Sokani S60 V2 or the V1 model?

    couldn't you just rig the battery grip around the back facing away from the light in order to use the softbox with it 2:42 ?

      I checked it, and you are absolutely right. I am not sure why I didn't think about it.

    Nice!
    * If you change only one np-f battery from 1st or 2nd slot while the lights power on, than the lights settings wont change and it wont quick turn off ?
    Also interesting about same question while any recording camera connected via d-tap or usb. Thank you!
