Disagree - you can’t compare micro brands with a brand like Oris that has to maintain its own factory / train watchmakers and so forth. There should be more features if you are paying 1k more
@@bodrulm1 Nobody prevents you from buying a cheaper micro brand with lesser brand heritage and without 10 years of warranty. Ridiculous comparison. I get a new Oris Aquis 400 for less than 2,5k €. Incredible value for the money.
Nice one Chris, someone who has not only acknowledged but demonstrated that the cal 400 clasp has tool less micro adjustment. Anyway I think the changes are an interesting evolution of the current model. I have a couple of Aquis models and to be honest would be unlikely to change to the new version, maybe different dial configurations might be of interest at some point in the future. It would be interesting to know which current versions and dials are being discontinued, the upcycle gets carried over but what about the wonderful cherry red dial. Anyway thanks again for sharing original content without the copy and paste of some reviewers. Have a great day.
I’m a huuuge Aquis fan. Excited to try this on the wrist- my one nitpick was they could be a touch thinner, I’m pretty sure the previous gen was around 13.5mm thick, so this is definitely a step in the right direction. Might have to pick me up a sellita 41.5mm blue dial soon…
Great video Chris. The elephant in the room with this model will forever be the integrated bracelet, should they ever do normal lugs with say a 20mm spacing they will essentially be making a worthy model to battle the big dogs.
Looks great, but I already thought the Aquis was perfect. I’m one of the few, but I don’t want or need a bigger clasp. I don’t wear my watches on bracelets super tight so I have no need for on the fly micro adjustments. For the masses who love this enjoy. Still waiting for an orange Aquis. Still baffled they’ve never brought one out.

The 41.5mm cal. 400 models didn't get the upgrade, right? So they won't have the new adjustable clasp and all of the changes. For now it's proprietary for the 43.5mm cal. 400 models.

Cal 400 has way too many problems. It is very inaccurate unless you somehow maintain a full power reserve. Selita versions are superior. Shame they don't give micro adj bracelet on the Selita
Thanks for your overview of these watches. They look great except for the thin minute and hour hands, which don't work for me, especially since these are dive watches.

Does the new bracelet for the Calibre 400 fit regular old Sellita models, or did they mess that up by changing the lugs?

Will the new micro adjustment clasp fits the old bracelet? If so its a nice upgrade to have with not much money

One of my favourites waches of all times no doubt. It wpuld be great to see a comparision between the 400 caliber version and the Tudor Black Bay.

Yeah I have the all brushed black sellita. Would like a cal 400, especially for the new clasp, but I’m not a fan of the polish.

Got mine all brushed at the local watchmaker for $100 was the best investment ever. Totally worth it.

The Omega Seamaster 300m has a clasp with dive extension and sliding micro-adjust, as do the Tudor Pelagos (both models)
