      best part is, he's probably paying for the cleaning supplies so she can do said things on top of the electricity to run dryer/washing machine to clean said clothes if you really wanna get down to that level.

    • @ronimydear98
      @ronimydear98 ปีที่แล้ว +168

      Dishes aren't that hard to do. Depending on how many there are, it usually takes about 2-5 minutes to clean them all. Given we have a more technologically advanced world, washing clothes isn't hard to do either. It takes 5 minutes to put them in the wash, then the washer cleans it for you for the next 45 minutes. Afterwards, it takes about 2 minutes to put the clothes in the dryer, and the dryer will dry it for you for about 1-2 hours, depending on the load. When the dryer is done, all you gotta do is fold the clothes which takes about 10-15 minutes to do, again depending on the load. Therefore, it really isn't too hard to do these tasks, and when combined with a job that allows you to work at home, conveniently you have more free time.
      So, I don't really know why she couldn't use her free time that her husband doesn't get as often to help him out and do something simple as cooking a meal. And I may not know how to cook, but she can also order something for him if she didn't wanna cook for him that badly.
      And the fact that she's saying that she isn't his mother to excuse her selfish actions and words towards him is mind-boggling to my eyes. Also, what's even worse is she never contributes any of her money to the family, therefore hinting that she considers herself more important to take care of than helping the family out with bills and events.
      This shows how a lot of women in marriages don't care to love their husbands but love themselves and their own desires. They say the words "I love you" but they know in their minds they love the perks they get from doing nothing for their husbands but getting everything regardless. Eventually, however, these selfish desires will be put in the spotlight and those women will lose it all when their husbands see through their B.S.
      Sorry about this long rant btw.

Yeah, and as a wife you should be showing in more ways than one that you LOVE your husband, even if it means cooking him a meal or doing something simple to help him relax after a long day. I wish marriages these days would take in consideration that money and sex doesn't account for a healthy relationship, but compromise, empathy for one another(not just being someone to vent to, but also helping the person out after a rough day), and treating one another as equal does.

I was still in my senior year of highschool at the time (including pressuring me into going to an educational program trip I was reluctant to accept, because it was pricey). She stopped helping me pay for university in my sophomore year, and tried filing her taxes two years later to have me as one of her dependents (in turn she would get more money out of me despite not living with her, having a falling out years ago, and being extremely verbally/phyically @busive.) If there’s no longer the chemistry between two people, why should you make it work when the spark is longer there?

    Preparing meals for your family should be seen as an act of love and care, not as a matter of gender roles. If there isn't mutual respect between spouses, marriage shouldn't be the option in the first place.
    Edit:
    Based solely on this brief clip, it's difficult to accurately comprehend the entirety of this couple's circumstances. Yet, it's clear that there's a lack of communication, mutual understanding and respect between them. I have no intention of taking sides in this matter. However, I would like to highlight that preparing meals is fundamentally an act of life preservation. If you truly care for someone, you would naturally be concerned about their basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. (I am a working wife too, in case you're wondering.)

Basically his feeling a wife is suppose to be his servant and that is not how the world works today. But I find this couple has a communication problem and maybe they could work out where they share making dinner together instead of him just thinking it is Hollywood movie with this huge dinner showing up in front of him within 3 minutes of walking in the door. She mentioned cleaning dishes and clothes, we can see the dishwasher in front of her and I would bet they have a washing machine and a drier. You need 10-15min for each of those chores and you do that like twice a week.
      Now cooking on the other hand that's a daily chore that takes 1-2 hours.

    • @Frenzyshark
      @Frenzyshark ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@harz632 I'm not sure I understand what you're commenting in regards to my comment. While the guy keeps making a big deal about "home cooking", sometimes you just can't trust people to cook the meal well(so why bother?). And since the guy was working a 13 hour shift, it may not have been certain when he got home. Are you strongly agreeing with him that "a home cooked meal" should be waiting for him as he gets home? And it's still warm? It probably wouldn't be.
      At the end of the day, it's much more important food is ready for him to eat when he actually gets home. Not that it's "prepared" well, homecooked, and warm when he hypothetically gets home. I wouldn't push for the homecooked meal just because "it's the principle of it". Work smarter and not harder. If he has to rewarm takeout food, so be it. That's better than stubbornly insisting on fresh food the second he's home.
      I recall a reddit post where a guy's brother hated the poster's cooking(she was the wife of the family). Said it was terrible. This guy also didn't work(he lost his job and was kicked out of his house after divorcing his wife during covid) so he had all of the time in the world to eat "good cooking". The wife was working on a lot of things and said "well you guys can cook the food then. I'll get takeout for myself" while worked on her work and school. Eventually the dishes piled up because the guy refused to do the dishes and cook even though he was the one who was doing all of the cooking and eating it. The guy kept telling the wife "you must do the dishes, I've done the cooking" despite the fact she ate takeout entirely for 2-3 months. She didn't eat a single of the homecooked meals. The moral of the story is all of this fuss about cooking can be often pointless. Again it's more important to have something to eat than scrutinize whether it was homecooked or not. But it seems you're scrutinizing it. And I just don't get it.

      This is exactly why you shouldn't even get married until you've lived together for a few years. Mirrage is a final commitment and basically a death sentence to most men if it ends in divorce. Kiss all your belongings, savings, most of your future earnings, and retirement goodbye.

    So she contributes nothing and all she brings is problems and disrespect? Yeah, get out of my house, I don't even care about the food anymore. If this is happening in my house and you are acting like this, your couch hopping your not even a wife. If my wife works 13 hours and I'm at home aware of it, the first thing I'm doing is making it worthwhile for her and having a nice dinner prepared, the house clean, and the kids taken care of, and if I'm doing the same thing, working late, she would do the same. there is no 50/50 in a relationship, we both put in a 100% effort to our roles as partners and parents and occasionally take up a little more if either one of us is having a long hard day at work or just having a hard time. That's how we see happy elderly couples that have been together for 30, to 50 years plus and still sharing wholesome moments like they are still young. But I'm not a married man nor in a relationship so what would I know 🤷‍♂️

She worked PT and spent 50% on the one bill she came into the marriage with … and complained. She also refused to cook, clean, wash dishes, buy groceries.

    It's not just about food; it's about taking care of your hardworking partner. I have experienced this situation in my family. I am the breadwinner, responsible for paying the bills and my siblings' tuition fees. When I return home after a long trip, dealing with traffic, hunger, and work-related stress, it becomes even more challenging. Additionally, I try to eat less while I'm at the office because the food there is expensive, and I want to save more money to cover the bills. I expect to come home to a homemade meal because that's the best option. However, when there is no food available, I feel devastated. The combination of hunger, stress, and weakness takes a toll on my mental well-being, and I start to feel as if the people I take care of are not reciprocating by taking care of my basic need for food.

      One group of delusional women that are probably feminists too. (Like it's actually kind of sad to think that feminism as an idea, degraded so much through the execution part, that it became an insult, wanting equality isn't so bad but these womenchildren, they do not want that though and that's a problem)
      I feel bad for the guys having to endure such type of marriages or relationships where there is 0 empathy and understanding, when people feel love with their brains and only want the good that comes from it and can't deal with the bad. Sickening.
      While, it's natural that I really want to be on the women side more, but you just can't nowadays. It became so much nonsense and so much promotion of independency of stupidity, that they simply cannot seem to be able to distinct what goes beyond them and their own words of hypocrisy. Even I don't understand them, let alone you guys XD
      Then the same girls that turn into women, they wonder why, they are 30-40 years old and single and no one wants them. Friendly reminder bestie ^_^ ! You WANTED this. Why are YOU CRYING NOW?
      *Not all girls are like this* and let's be real, men aren't saints either, heck no. The problem is and always was, that the negatives are a lot and too many. Too many people being stupid and banding together, influencing each other in a toxic way. Both men and women alike. Sad state of the world is that, these "Women" do it too far more than men, because they think *that they can get away with anything* by just thinking of themselves as saints. And society... seems to reward and encourage them and lets them reign free for the "I think therefore I am" type of act.
      Privilege does that people, regardless of gender. In this world, it just so happens that women are the favorites, and how they drown in that idea of power... only for some of them to wake up to reality (THANKFULLY) and realize how much they've wasted and lost through their "*COPIUM*" and make-believe.
      (Barely relevant but, I had a somewhat good friend with that mentality, older than me and yet surprisingly not as wise. And trust me when I say that I am not that wise at all XD, so you can only imagine her. I am in my mid twenties and she is close to getting in her forties and acts like a "bish" to one of the most kindest and sweetest gentleman out there whom genuinely cared for her. She loses that relationship eventually (in like almost 1 year of her constantly pushing him around and treating him like a tool and money making machine) and wondered what she did wrong and that he was her everything and why he left... -_- *BRUH* I lost respect for her and then she started to take it out on me on a constant so... I had to go too. I was friends with her for like 5-6 years. I didn't expect her to be like that and kept telling myself that I must've misunderstood things before but damn )

      My dad doesn't work (retired), but I feel like both are being really over the top toxic. When my dad came home from his job before he retired, my mom didn't cook for him because they came back at relatively the same time. A 13-hour shift is bad, but couldn't he have messaged her like "what are you cooking tonight?" And vise versa like the wife saying "I'm not cooking tonight. You can go and buy something." I am not supporting any side because if it's a relationship, you gotta stay in touch with the person. The wife is more on my bad side, but both are pretty bad (as I would judge from the video) people to be in a relationship in. I'm not black and am in no way trying to make this seem like one person is better, I just wanna say have at least some decency in decisions instead of getting at each other.

    I have to side with the husband here. I'm not looking at his request as an obligation, but more as a courtesy, a show of respect and concern and love for your partner. Part of a mature relationship involves compassion and the ability over time to anticipate your partners needs. That includes doing things that will make the day a little easier. That works both ways, too. In this case, I might have taken into account that yes, we are both working, but my husband is going to be exhausted after a 13 hour shift. I'm tired too, but i'm here and it is easier for me at this point to walk into the kitchen and make some food. When i make something for myself, i make enough for both of us. We can both relax and spend some time together over a meal. It doesn't always have to be something fancy or expensive, but just making the effort shows care for your partner, and then sitting down together and having some quality time is good for both people.
    At minimum, when she got that pizza out, she could have saved some for him or something. If you want to maintain a good relationship, you have to learn how to show concern for your significant other.
