What's with the people cheating? If you cheat, clearly you don't like your former partner or there's something that you want that they can't give you so why not end it off with closure. And what's the matter if you're wedding ring a real or fake diamond? It's there to represent the bond you have with your partner and shows off your relationship to each other. My parent's doesn't have the luxury to buy their own wedding ring before so my grandparents gladly let them borrow their ring for the wedding until they can buy one. Even after my parents bought a wedding ring, it doesn't have any stones but a simple design.
My mom lost hers because she can't fit it to her fingers as giving birth to us affected her weight and misplaced it. My parents were disappointed but it was just a symbol of their marriage and didn't take it to the heart too much. Fortunately, after my sister earned money from her job as a teacher, she bought our parents another pair on their anniversary that fits them.
It's elating to have a ring but the relationship is what matters.
