I love the Phase 2 Enterprise. I can see Matt Jeffries ship in it. It looks like an upgrade. The refit is more beautiful but there is nothing left of Mr. Jeffries ship.
It is an interesting blend of the classic tv design and the refit movie design, both of which are iconic designs for the Enterprise in their own right. Seeing a sort of half-way point between the two is very interesting and I could see this possibly being the Enterprise when Captain Deckard from TMP first gets a hold of her.
Gotta say, I'm SOOOO freaking jealous of your collection, bro! Thank you so much for sharing. I love ships from all genres, but there's a certain grace and elegance ST's Federation vehicles exude that others do not... exceptions - Andromada Ascendant, Nubian Royal Starship, and Serenity.
I started this collection right back at the start, and whilst I have got rid of a lot of ships, I've kept the Enterprises among a few other Starfleet vessels.
How they missed putting the impulse engine on the C still pisses me off. The whole back neck is a blank slate. Who the heck was asleep at the wheel on that one? 😣 The concept C is my favorite though. You have to pick that one up if you can. Its based on the updated CG model version and for me it really is that proper evolution between the B and the D. The J is just fugly and representative of a problem in all entertainment. The nextship always has to be bigger than the previous. Modern navy ships are getting smaller. You would think advances in tech would lead to smaller crew requirements and smaller but more capable classes would come into development at some point. It's one of the reasons the runabout and defiant are so cool.
@@Susanville77 I know. And on the concept there are 2 whole sections on the upper hull are unpainted...I love Eaglemoss but these huge mistakes are not acceptable. If they got something wrong in the design fine put mass release what should be an easily picked up QC issue? 🤬
There is no substitute in my heart for the beauty, line, and execution of Matt Jeffires' original NCC-1701. He gave spaceship design an entirely new vocabulary, and permission to grow into new directions, and grow it did. Thank thank you very much for this video. I do think the Odyssey-class looks very very good here. I really need to see these ships represented IRL to get an appreciation for them. This helps very much. I've never really been able to grasp the look of the NCC-1701J either, especially in-game, and getting a look at your model and how you're displaying it really gives me a sense of the thing. Once again thank you very much and well done. I don't know if you have the NX refit, but it is one of my favorites. It's about as canon as the Phase II and Probert's Enterprise portrait was it, but I love all of them:) I am sure you know James Crawley's Star trek Phase II fan films went on to use the modified Enterprise. The effects work for me 😊
You are SO right. I mean, I LOVE "The Cage" version of the Enterprise, but wow, the lines on the NCC-1701-C.. are SO in tune with strength & speed. A Truly Beautiful Ship.
I love the Enterprise, all of them are beautiful. Even the Discovery version is growing on me. But none will ever beat the NX, Constitution, Constitution refit, and the Galaxy class. They are by far the best.
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely done and very well executed in every detail and and informatively explained in every way shape and form, And I myself own all of the Enterprise models from Eaglemoss except for Ent-J!...
Havent been on STO in a long time, but I like the enterprise f design and the class has been good to me for several missions before getting the Yamato class Dreadnaught. Favorite enterprise in all- I like all of them.
God bro, I LOVE your collection, at least what I can see in the background. I have some of the same ships, and I have all of the Playmates light-up, sound ships that were made. But the jewel of my collection is my Franklin Mint starship Enterprise 1701, it has a lift-off top on the saucer section, and it has an accurate bridge design (although it's not to scale, it's much larger than just the little round area at the top part of the saucer section, it has ruby quartz warp nacelles, (the red part of the nacelles), and it has a 24 karat deflector dish, plus in the aft section of the main hull, the shuttle bay pulls out and it has a dye-cast metal shuttle that you can take out of the shuttle bay.
Thanks for posting. I have all of the ships from the beginning as well. The F, something that has to grow on you or me. In someway it looks like a manta. Love the J. Wish the show would go more into the future and expand. The Federation could grow Galaxy wide or go beyond the Galaxy with larger ships, that carry these ships. Thanks again.
I'm so glad this popped up as a suggested video to check out. A few years late but who's counting right? I absolutely love the Eaglemoss Star Trek line, preferably the XL line. I'm currently only collecting the hero ships as well as each interpretation of the Enterprise. I haven't gotten F and it's likely I won't. I just can't get behind that weird design, especially after seeing ships with a more traditional look (magnetic nacelles notwithstanding) in the current season of Discovery. With ships like the Thunderchild and Bonchune added to the XL ranks, I'll likely go outside of my 'hero ship' only theme. I'm a huge fan of your videos, Irish Trekkie and I'm so glad to have finally given this particular video a watch.
I'd say that either the D or the NX-01 are my favourite. The former I like for being the embodiment of the futuristic starship in sci-fi, and for being my first Enterprise. The latter I like for how attainable it looks
The Refit is an interesting case. The original 1701 is one of the most iconic and influential spacecraft designs of all time. As said in the video, it's the one that started it all when it comes to Trek. So the fact that the movie Refit design actually takes that design and in many ways improves upon it, it's just incredible. It's one of the few cases where a redesigned version of a existing vessel actually looks better.
@@philunbekant6809 A little. The Enterprise-Refit is a little over 288 meters long while the Enterprise-A is a little over 304 meters. They're virtually identical, but not fully.
Well your collection is awesome. Do you collect other star trek ships? I play the star wars x-wing miniatures game and its given me an interest in the star trek version attack wing but no one sells it in my area.
My favorite ship is the NX-01/NX-01 Refit. When it comes to the ENT-C I like the on screen version much better than the concept. Regarding the ENT-J, I hope they come out with an XL version!
And then 5-years later Kirk got promoted to Admiral (again) and recommended Spock for promotion to Captain so he could take command during the Enterprise's assignment to Starfleet Academy as a trainee ship for cadets.

It made the intentions and clear that after this final mission of intercepting v'ger was complete that Admiral Kirk would go back to being Admiral Kirk & Decker would take over as captain of the Enterprise. There's also no dialogue in the movie which is the only thing that counts is Canon to suggest that Kirk remained on is Captain after that. The next time we see Kirk he is Admiral at Starfleet command dealing with the new Enterprise crew as Cadets
Nice video presentation. Thank you. Have you considered a presentation on small craft? Shuttles, or Runabout sized vessels? I wonder how my favorite trek ship, the Danube Class would fare, in your estimation and comparison amongst the 'small fry'....
The 1701 A/Refit is still the prettiest Enterprise ever. Though the E design is quite nice. The worst of all time is the abominable Abrams movie version.
The Enterprise is the most genius spaceship design ever. It is a mixture of a saucer and a rocket. Every other design looks like a saucer, a rocket, a plane or an insect.
I love these ships so much, but I hate that on pretty much all the models I've ordered so far, have had misaligned windows, Eaglemoss really needs to step up their quality control.
The Enterprise C missing the impulse engines and the general lack of detail on the back of the neck is really annoying, the underside of the saucer also seems flatter and less domed than it should be to me at least. As others have mentioned you should really pick up the Enterprise C Probert concept, it's a much nicer looking ship overall and properly serves to bridge the design gap between the B and the D. It seems that the only reason we got the screen version of the C was because the prop builders had a very short timeframe to build the filming model and the Probert C concept had time consuming and difficult to construct design elements.
No NX-01 refit? The Enterprise-F looks like an oversized Voyager designed by Bugatti The Enterprise-J: My god, that's a big ship. 3.2 kilometers long (compared to the D at 642 meters) and an approximately 200 meter thick saucer (compared to the D's total height of 195 meters). Plus, based on the overall size of the J saucer, the ship should have a crew of 15,000-20,000
Another great video. My favorite Enterprise is the TMP refit in terms of evolution. Too bad Eaglemoss gave all the detail love to the 1701-A, but, ah well. In terms of lineage, yes, the refit of the original remains my fave Enterprise. The Enterprise F was an interesting design... looking like an evolution of the Sovereign class. I liked the stark white and black detail. Haven't played STO in forever. I didn't know, until this video, that Eaglemoss was including video game designs in their lineup. Are those impulse engines at the back of the engineering hull on the F? If so, that is another interesting design choice, as it seems to sport impulse engines on the saucer as well (Ala Ent D and E). Exceeding the scope of this video for a bit, I also rather like the Enterprise design for Star Trek Discovery/Strange New Worlds. Neither of those shows will be worth the time of day, but I did like the Enterprise design. (On a tangent, the only other thing I liked that would be related to STD would be the Short Trek episode "The Trouble With Edward", only because it has Rosa Salazar in it.... the woman behind Alita Battle Angel, herself. /tangent). I'm also one of the few that likes the JJ Enterprise. I think the ship played out better once it was in action . Enterprise J? Hard pass. That's all I will say. Great vid but I think you need to keep yourself out of the reflection or turn your manual focus on in your camera. Your focus was hunting between you and the ships a few times in the vid. lol.
Where abouts do you get these models? I'm from Canada and I had a collection back in the 90's where you can get them at the local hobbie or comics stores but they stopped selling them. I have been searching online but same thing very expensive. If you could let me know where you shop online or know other dealers would be much appreciated.
Enterprise B makes me think of a mix of an Admirals ship and a cruise ship, while C makes me think just cruise ship...both nice ships though but always seemed sluggish to me...I liked all the ships except for J...for a big ship it was just too flat...loved the design for F...reminded me of a cobra, ready to strike
The Enterprise -J is over a hundred in the future, in the 26th century (2501-2599). They might talk about the Enterprise-F though, which was launched in 2410, depending on when exactly Picard takes place. BUT they might still be on the Enterprise-E under the command of Captain Data (2386-2409), considering Star Trek: Countdown (leading into the Kelvin timeline) took place in 2387, which most fans speculate is the reason Picard retired from Starfleet. (as a side note, the TNG Relaunch novels are currently in the year 2386). Of course, the series could ignore everything that has come out since Nemesis and make a completely new timeline - but the one thing they can't ignore is that the Enterprise J can't launch until 2501 due to that being canon.
I really like the 'C' , E and F, which I have to order. I wasn't aware there was an Enterprise D from All Good Things. I have to look for that. I do have all of them. If Eaglemoss releases models from ST: DISCOVERY, will you review them?
I was collecting these.....until I got divorced then my stepdaughter (who didn't like me) 'helped' her mum box up the last of my stuff and literally threw them one at a time into a box, smashing a load of them. The remnants are still in storage, I haven't had the heart to go through and find out which are and which aren't.
I really like the F, it's a cool combination of various enterprise designs but also has its own unique features, not my favourite but I'd be happy to see it on the screen. As for the J, I still hate that design. For me the E is the best design, I also love the D, C and A, the B is cool as well and the original is iconic (but not high on my list). The phase two was interesting to see considering that it could fit perfectly between the TV and refit designs.
Ok, so why is the 1701-C missing it's one huge impulse engine? I thought at first those two orange areas on the back side of the saucer section were impulse engines, but when I looked up the Ambassador class on the internet, I found a few pictures of it moving through space and it had one huge impulse engine, right on the back side of the neck part. I wonder why Eaglemoss didn't add it to the model that you are showing?
3:52 Sorry to nitpick, but remember Kirk was an admiral in the first 3 Trek films...Decker was assigned to be the Captain of the Enterprise till Kirk made it his flagship to deal with the V'ger threat and Spock was the Captain for the second film who handed command to Kirk when the admiral receive a concerning call from his ex regarding the Genesis project. The Enterprise had no standing captain to get killed off in the 3rd film...so it blow up instead:P 13:37 Captain Va'Kel Shon commands the Enterprise F My favorite Enterprise is the D, less favorite the J
such big gaps on the bodies separating the upper and lower pieces. The Konami and Futura ones from Japan have better build quality and are muck=h less expensive.
I personally have no experience with the collection, so let me ask one thing. All the models have what it looks like borders between their parts, like the Enterprise D has a visible "rift" between the saucer section and the science/battle section (or what I call the "undersection") like in the TNG show and in the movie Generations, the saucer section could be detached at times while the undersection did the difficult battles with serious enemies. So is it only esthetics or are the models actually buildable (made out of parts, that you have to put together)?
My favorite is the tos . As Scotty said NCC - 1701 no bloody A,B,C or D! Great models!👍👍
In many ways the NX.01 refit. & Phase 2 are in the same boat. Designed and never used.
I love the Phase 2 Enterprise. I can see Matt Jeffries ship in it. It looks like an upgrade. The refit is more beautiful but there is nothing left of Mr. Jeffries ship.

As for the J, I still hate that design.
For me the E is the best design, I also love the D, C and A, the B is cool as well and the original is iconic (but not high on my list).
The phase two was interesting to see considering that it could fit perfectly between the TV and refit designs.
Captain V'kel Shon(An Andorian) of the USS Enterprise 1707-F.
Hey great video!
You can always tell it’s Eaglemoss because the painted windows never match up
Where do you find the the Eagle Moss Star Trek Ships
Those look amazing! Where did you get your Enterprise F? I looked everywhere online saying sold out.
Love to see the interior of the--J.
These ships are from regular (2012 -.. Around 5,5 inch) or XL edition?
Captain of Enterprise F was an andorian. that's all I remember
Where was the nx01 refit? Since you included the phase two Enterprise.
Sorry, I should have said bussard collectors instead of warp nacelles, but I'm sure you understood
FANTASTIC Starships👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀😀😀😀 Eaglemoss is also doing BattleStar Galactica. are you a fan.of that show??
The captain of the Enterprise-F was a male Andorian named Va'Kel Shon and the captain of the J was Dax. The host was never named but it was a woman.
My favourite ship is the Enterprise F, commanded by Va'kel Shon
is there an XL movie era connie that you could compare to the DSC connie?
Where did you get the turn table?
Ok, so why is the 1701-C missing it's one huge impulse engine? I thought at first those two orange areas on the back side of the saucer section were impulse engines, but when I looked up the Ambassador class on the internet, I found a few pictures of it moving through space and it had one huge impulse engine, right on the back side of the neck part. I wonder why Eaglemoss didn't add it to the model that you are showing?
Where do you get those lovely turntables?
My favorites are the Enterprises B, E, and F.
The Enterprise had no standing captain to get killed off in the 3rd film...so it blow up instead:P
13:37 Captain Va'Kel Shon commands the Enterprise F
My favorite Enterprise is the D, less favorite the J
Very true 😃
I wish I had the money to get this collection... I would give my left arm to have all the Enterprises to put on a shelf... 😢😥
such big gaps on the bodies separating the upper and lower pieces. The Konami and Futura ones from Japan have better build quality and are muck=h less expensive.
Certainly not after you have held them in your hand they don't.
Very nice.
always it is for me a favorite 1 is enterprise refit under kirk and the tv original number 2
Should include the ST: Discovery Enterprise
Does Eaglemoss have a model for that?
@@redshirtveteran5688 yes
@@BigKnGa Cool : )
MY FAVORITE SHIP:NCC 1701J.-I HAVE SEEN PICTURES OF:G,H,K,&WAS "TOLD"OF:NCC 1701 Z,THE REST IS CLASSIFIED.
Are there G, H, and I versions?
Enterprise f is my favorite though e is right in its tail
My favorite enterprise is enterprise F and J
I personally have no experience with the collection, so let me ask one thing. All the models have what it looks like borders between their parts, like the Enterprise D has a visible "rift" between the saucer section and the science/battle section (or what I call the "undersection") like in the TNG show and in the movie Generations, the saucer section could be detached at times while the undersection did the difficult battles with serious enemies. So is it only esthetics or are the models actually buildable (made out of parts, that you have to put together)?
It's just aesthetic, the models come pre-built. Also, FYI, the 'undersection' is called the secondary hull, or engineering hull
