That game at 9:38... That looks like it started out as a Sonic fangame starring the creators OCs, but then it started to evolve and they just made some similar substitutes so it didn't look QUITE like edgy Sonic OCs fighting each other.

Yeah, actually, like Freedom Planet, but instead of the creator saying "I'm gonna make this play like Sonic, but I'm gonna try and evolve the mechanics", they were like "yeah my character has the ability to shoot energy balls and he's super strong".
Glad to know that no matter the time peroid, you make a game with tiny anthropomorphic characters and people constantly accuse you of trying to make a Sonic fangame with Sonic OCs. Fantastic.
