@@roberine7241 I binged MW2 and EarthSiege 2 back in the day and later played MW3 as well as possible on a machine running Vista with all the shenanigans it had post Win98, tried MW4 and dropped it because it was unbearable with what a buggy mess it was (same issue with the too new OS). Then I had nothing for ages, until I got Vox Machinae on the Summer Sale 3 years ago. What a unit!

yea, the calm part is a huge reason i watch him, his video's are like chicken nuggets, they're short, but comforting and help you though the day (not that i would mind longer video's ofc)

Habie is the guy that starts a youtube channel because he thinks it'll be fun and then he gets popular because people like his content but he doesn't try to take it any farther because he knows that his vibe is what we came for
That makes him way more enjoyable than other TH-camrs who are over the top

@@servantofcygnus Yeah but fans have the false Idea that content creators are supposed to make content in a way there fans say. Change sucks especially for big fans, but the creators grow and change with there channel and the creators have much more to their life then just the content you watch. Its unfortunate that fans (as a whole) will never respect that.
Watching Habie's videos when they come out has to be one of my favourite things i look forward to during the week. Just love the nice vibe and at the same time getting me hyped to try out new games. There’s nothing like a fine vr game that has a lot of content.
The only problem with this game is that few people know about it. This game is one of those cases when it just exists. It has everything you need from the game, it works, but people don't know about it. I play it quite often myself, and if you were lucky, you could even see one server online

Glad you found this gem man it's good inspiration. I'm developing a game similar to DayZ for VR but with full-body IK and more a robust looting/crafting mechanics for better immersion. Taking inspiration from all the different VR survival and shooter games to see what players love most and improve where they're weak. Like with Contractors... we needed to be able to lean on those corners man! Pretty damn difficult to implement in code but it was sooooo worth it once I figured it out. Peaking corners during gun fights- gotta have it!
I want a VR survival game with real crafting so that i can build bases and raid bases of other players, just like with Ark survival Evolved and R.U.S.T. The base building aspect is what is missing in the survival nation game as well, which makes it boring. Tribes are exciting.

@ruudboek yep! targeting quest primarily and then will have a scaled up version for steam. I'll be starting a devlog here at some point, once there's something to actually look at
Let players customize/craft their bases/settlements , I’d definitely buy it cuz a lot of survival games don’t have them much reasons to replay or endgame content to keep players coming back. Good luck too you thou, you got this

I probably played too much Into the Radius to enjoy Survival Nation. Tried it (maybe not long enough) and found it rather lackluster. Mechanically its great (except for that one quest that bugged and wouldn't let me continue, but thats beside the point, that happens to the best games). I just didn't feel motivated, the camp felt empty and lifeless and even though the NPCs were voiced (which I liked), they felt stiff and mechanical. As did the Zombies.
I guess I may come back to it at a later point in time, when I can spend money on a game that does not tickle all my senses. As I am probably not the target audience, I'd give it a solid three of five, good for those who are the target audience, everyone else should test it and/or watch reviews before buying.
I swear man it's going to be so awesome seeing you get to a million on here, I've been following your progress for a while and you easily became one of my most favorite (if not my favorite) content creators on this platform. It's so awesome seeing your progress with gamersupps too, I can't wait to see where all of this goes. Keep up the awesome work dude 👍

my favorite part of the VR movie was when habie147 said "we did some quest 2" before he passed on to the afterlife. it was the saddest moment in cinema, and the whole movie theatre started sobbing.
It's amazing how on youtube Habie is an editing wizard, outstanding at telling a story of the video, and fantastic comedic timing. Then on stream he reminds us that the smoothbrain thing isnt a joke.
I stumbled across this game a day or two ago on my own and ive sunk alot of time into it already. In the four months since its come out the servers have filled out. Usually there are 2 full pages of servers to join. It does take a bit to get out of the spawn area and into the rest of the map but it really scratches the open world itch once you open it up. Would recommend. The community is also mostly friendly. I have yet to find someone blatantly toxic. There have been a couple distasteful children though.

Honestly the games not bad. A lot of it appears to be bare bones with fishing or cooking, not a lot of detail in the act of those, but I personally think they want to get the foundation of the game first and then start making things like: Actually crafting foods by putting the ingredients in a pot over a fire, or worrying about the fishing line breaking in a immersive way. Lotta potential here.
This game is definitely fine, I mean, the zombies look straight out of a mobile game ad and the nation word never appears, but that's just everything.
I just picked up a Quest 2 as my first ever dive into VR, I'm excited to play this!

Have you played Hellsplit Arena yet? I couldn't see it in your VR playlist but I may have missed it. Still my favourite melee combat VR game, even compared to the infamous Blade and Sorcery. It's beautiful, functional and after Hotdogs, Horseshoes and handgrenades its my favourite VR game. If I had more room it could easily be my favourite game

Dude NOBODY talks about this a lot, even in tier lists. It looks so nuanced, yet janky. It reminds me of Borderlands 2, not a lot of graphics, but it has SOOOO MUCH
Hello there what VR Headset does he use?
I find it really odd that there aren't really any fleshed out skill trees in VR games like this one has. You could do some really interesting stuff with the gameplay with a good VR-specific skill tree. I don't know whether to blame devs not understanding how a VR skill tree would work since stats like stamina couldn't be real in-game stats or if RPGs/action RPGs are mainly being developed for standard hardware right now. I was really looking forward to a modder developing a specialized perk overhaul for SkyrimVR down the road when I bought Skyrim for the 7th time but I'm still waiting, might have to build a mod myself if nothing comes but man just thinking about trying to code VR functions in Papyrus makes me feel physically ill.
