4:24 I don't think there's anything more ominous than coming back from the ship only to see a big "X" hastily painted on the main entrance with a blood trail in front of it
this game is already pretty scary IMO. Its no amnesia, but i've yelled a few times when playing, and the suspense builds up alot when you hear noises and youre alone in the dark. Its generally not too scary when all of your friends are alive.
genuinely though, it actually shows you that you do mess up with them, so many times with coilheads I accidentally looked away without realising and stop them literally just before they get me.
Best thing about VR is directly tied to the human brain: doesn't matter how bad the graphics are, as long as it's consistent, the brain allows for immersion and adaptation. If the whole world looks like it's from the PS2 era, it says "M'kay" and plunges you right into the experience. VR is awesome.
I read somewhere that the most important factor to immersion in VR is interactivity. Graphics don't matter as much as being able to interact with the game world in a more realistic and natural way.
Seeing how the game is in Early Access, I suspect the dev will take massive hints from whatever is popular. A little like how Minecraft would assimilate popular mods.
reminder that on the mod page itself, DaXcess (the person who made the mod) says, "This is the first mod that I have ever built, and also the first time using Unity so this mod might not be perfect." yet this vr mod works almost completely flawlessly, i've yet to find any issues with it. It even has a compatibility sheet to tell you what other mods work with vr and what mods dont work. This modder is insane, kudos to him
Hopefully someone tries to do a universal Unity VR injector like UEVR, if this had been available during the initial hype train it would have been a huge boost for VR as a whole.
There’s no need for a Unity injector due to how the goofy aah engine is built. UE’s injector was only needed because UE does not ship the VR binaries inside every single executable produced with it. Unity, however, ***does.***

Actually fun fact the devs of the game implicitly implied every game asset to be ported to Vr from the start hence the speed it happened and the incredulous quality it runs at and im so happy to finally see it done i knew it was happening but horayy its happened😊
Sadly, when I tried this mod it was incompatible with the "more emotes" mod (your VR hands would not be visible). And when it came time for my gaming group to choose between having VR or having the ability to twerk, well... There was no real choice there.

This mod is incredibly well made, but I feel like it is only fun for people that haven't played the game extensively on KB+M. I played the VR mod after being very experienced in the regular game and found that VR just made the game infinitely less fun. It went from "Damn I just died and it was my fault" to "Damn I died but if I wasn't in VR I absolutely would have survived, I miss KB+M, this just makes me feel like I'm playing with a permanent movement handicap"
