I just realized the 2nd apt. you guys checked out was Anthony's and Khalil's when they were a couple and used to live together. *le sigh* memories...but it is a beautiful apt! The concrete, brick walls and dark wooden flooring, very lofty! :)
The timing of this series is perfect ! I'm currently apartment hunting as well and am quickly realizing, like you said, the perfect rental does not exist! The loft looks amazing !!

A good idea my friend gave me when I was going to be moving out of state and roadtripping out first to look for apartments, was to pack up the car with stuff I didn't need right away at my current place and put in storage, that way when it came time to move we could fit the rest of our stuff in the two cars we were bringing, so we didn't have to use a moving company. Note: we were leaving a furnished townhouse for an unfurnished apartment, so no big furniture.

I'm pretty surprised at how updated all of your apartments were that you lived in in SF the last few years.
