- I got so lucky while looking for a studio apartment. I scored a $1,200 apartment in a great location. Angelino Heights (right next to Echo Park Lake) is a beautiful historic neighborhood, full of character and with lots going on all around! I am so close to Downtown Los Angeles, The Arts District, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Koreatown, & Hollywood!
Take a look at how I had to maximize space in such a small space. All the while, making the place feel like my own!

Finally, a LA apt tour that has character!! I'm so sick of seeing all those "luxury" apt tours with the floor to ceiling windows and the basic gray kitchen blah, blah, that's basically a rectangle. Your apt reminds me of spaces that I lived in in Brooklyn. Thank you for posting this. Your apt is wonderful.

This place is actually a diamond in LA. I agree that the no parking thing is a major downside, especially for a young single woman, but otherwise you'd be hard pressed to find something anywhere near there at that price range with a separate sleeping area. The amount of natural light you get is amazing.

I’m planning to move out of the family home and Echo Park is literally like 5 mins away from me currently. Rent in LA is sooo expensive 😭 but you made a studio look so nice! Love how this is a realistic version of LA solo living lol lots of other videos on here are luxury apartments where you need a roommate or two or three. I’ve also been looking around for studios and see listings where the closet is big enough to fit a whole ass bed. Yours is exactly how I pictured it and all the more reason why I don’t mind a studio! Lol

Seeing your small but cozy and warm home gives me so much excitement honestly because I’m planning to move to la and I’m mainly looking in silverlake/los feliz/echo park so I love seeing a realistic look at what apartment living is makes it so much easier to envision me living there and it makes me super happy and excited for my future ☺️🙏
It's cute! and i love all ur plants! :) I currently live in a studio in the historic core of downtown LA and i love it, been here 8 months now! It's also rent controlled and was built 100 years ago as well(its a 12 story brick building). It's $980 rn but was $890 when i first found it 6 months before i was able to apply. It's interesting to see all the different little finds there are around LA.
I love that you put the bed in the closet. I've seen too many studio/small apartment tours where people didn't improvise a "bedroom" by taking advantage of a larger closet. I plan on doing the same. Great space!

I do love how you decorate. Your livingroom is so charming. Actually the entire place is and you made great use if the space. You would be surprised but I love the bedroom being that small. Only thing I didn't like is the gap in your front door. So not safe that it is wide enough to see outside.

This is a solid place for the price and location! Love the vegetation and additional decorations incorporated into the the spaces. It perfectly adds character to an already unique place!
This little apartment is totally charming. I love all the plants and knick knacks, which are not overdone. Personally, I wouldn't change one thing. It reminds me of the first apartment I had when I moved to LA many years ago. But this one is cuter. Very nice!
Cracked me up- the BED ROOM. Room for a bed. That’s it. But You know how to decorate! 100 years ago people didn’t need much. I wish it was like that now. I’m in Elysian Heights (Echo park too) and I’m in a 500 square foot stand alone house. It’s old too and it drives me nuts when i see construction go up and tear down old structures. That’s what drew me to EP! Great video!

Your apartment is beautiful and well organized. I know you said you want to get rid of the glass shelving unit but it works and it is very asthetically pleasing in your living room. It also provides open storage if you ever need it.

Yeah, I've been living in echo park for 17 years and the gangs left the neighborhood within the last 8 years
Echo park has definitely changed a lot over the years. Use to have to watch my back around this area. Now I believe it's one of the most hipster places in LA.
Location, location, location. And a bedroom that’s just for sleeping, awesome. I have so many distractions in my bedroom, sometimes sleep is the only thing I can’t do. Love all the greenery. It’s great for a bachelor.

Oh my god I love it so much, this is exactly the cozy small apartment I dream of living in. Koreatown is the place I was planning to go apartment hunting in but now I feel like I should also check out this area.
That little "Bed Room" you have, if you tear down that cupboard, you could totally add in a loft bed to clear up some space as well, like have a desk area, or couch/futon area underneath, or purely more storage. Ideas are happening in my head.

OMG! That's my friends childhood apartment I grew up three homes back facing Sunset. We use to shop at K store@10:07mins 😚 this video brought me lots of bitter sweet memories for sure! I miss my hood want to move back home!

You have a great apartment! I used to live in Angeleno Heights in that tall brick building on Calumet Ave, now I live still in Echo Park but north of Sunset Boulevard. I love Echo Park and I’m so glad I found an apartment here. I really like that little balcony you have and your apartment has a lot of character!
