I must say I've wanted to take this apart and just admire its design but my luck I'd break it. They make you think like that by the easy access to getting things open. The bands come off with ease.

At 1:48 you show a clear/translucent bezel cover on the GWG 1000 is this a genuine Casio part or a mod from someone else?
Which one is better about baskets? Waterproof even if I will be used light underwater etc? Gwg1000 sometimes got it problem with humidity inside....
I have the qwq 1000 the band screws feel slightly stipped any suggestions. They don't fall out but it's unnerving. still under warranty . I was very careful about over tightening but they won't come tight did it first time i took apart. Thanks

Hey buddy, can you tell me where i can find mod parts for my GWG-1000. I have two of them so I don’t mind modding one. I am already using Jaysandkays metal adapters and a 24mm pvd coated metal bracelet. I wish I could swap the bezel for a metal one.
Could you customize a mudmaster and glue T-100 tritium vials inside for light?

some how i broke the outer decorative bezel under the crown so yea looks like im going to have to open the watch to replace that, really sucks

Yes. I was surprised to see that as well at first, maybe water got trapped in that orange cushion after a while.
So, i guess we can consider that as a disadvantage of having the cushion on the 2000 as it traps water.
Quite likely galvanic corrosion due to the carbon and steel touching.

So the original 1000 is the better built version? Wonder how it stacks up with the new B1000, maybe the B is the looker but does it withstand the abuse that the 1k can 🤔

I don't think so. even if there is any difference, it is minuscule.

Yes ...yes it is
It doesn't make any sense why the GWG-2000 would lack the alpha gel protection, especially when Casio Europe directly advertises that it is vibration resistant.
It has that grey thing, kinda absorbant when I try to poke on it. It is just not as flexible and sticky like those red alpha gel.

Hi Sir! How tight should I tighten the Crown on my GWG2000?
Just enough when you feel some resistance. There's a rubber gasket in there, if you tighten it too far it could break/expire quicker.

I didn't, but some viewers commented that they have issues with the crown not functioning

I got them locally from online seller that made those. Maybe you could find some resellers on facebook selling those as well.

Hi, did you put it back together without dust free environment, and also how do you test the G-Shock after you put the watch together? It all seems very cool, but it seems someone is pulling apart a precision watch, including the material used and stripped by your hands without gloves...I don't agree. If you put these, already broken and vacuum lost watches, you only put together the parts. But you missing the point here. And as a proud owner of one of the G-Shocks for looong years, all you did was, that you destroyed good couple of watches someone could wear. No gloves and just like that putting fancy comment to your video...
I sent these watches to Casio retailers in Japan plenty of times, for battery switch & obligatory pressure test by Casio own testing machine.
Everything was done by hand right then and there in that small shop in a shopping mall. All the tools are just standard (mine is better). I have better lighting & macro lens to check for dust residue better than Casio shop. The only difference is they use finger glove, but they didn't clean the watch before or after (wth). All the dust/grimes/dirt still there after service, and they charge for 40usd per watch.
I understand your concern but, I'm doing it myself and I'd recommend you do all this yourself too. Cheers!

You can get a smart watch with protective casing that does a lot more than these overpriced chunks that have isues pairing to their own app, incorect temp , alt and barometer readings. I bought a GgB 100 that is built like something from the 80's. Fenix, Galaxy etc leave these plastic chunks for dead.
