      @@paulgreblick it's been pretty good so far, my knees don't hurt, but I've been jumping rope off and on for years. Just last month I decided to stop running altogether and doing this 30 minute jump rope routine instead, it's much more effective for fat loss.

Just make sure you're using proper technique, meaning you should be jumping slightly off the floor and always landing on the balls of your feet. Hope that helps

For Eg, 30sec skip, rest 10sec, 30s3c kettle bell, rest 10, 30 sec dumbel latwral raise, 30 sec akip, 10 sec rest, 30 sec aerobic atep jump. Does this count as 30 min skipping and will i lose weight or i need to ditch the other excercises and just skip for 30min ? @JumpRopeDudes

I got married two months ago and I guess you can say I put on the happy 15lbs lol. I know I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. It’s just disappointing when you worked so hard to lose 80lbs and see yourself gain any extra weight is just annoying. This video was randomly in my suggestions so I think it’s a sign from god reminding me how amazing well jumprope was to me😂. I just wanted to say this guys speaking the truth and it does truly work. Skipping rope is amazing.
    I used to be very active but stopped going to the gym for pandemic reasons, broke up after 5+ years of relationship and was having job problems
    By the end of 2020 my weight was in the 105kg range with a massive belly, shocking myself compared to my old body
    By 2021 I started skipping rope again (used to skip as warm up for 30 minutes) and now I'm at the 78kg range skipping 70 minutes everyday with minimal rest, while doing harder calistenics (just did my first "no hands push ups" yesterday)
    Trust me, skipping rope is a godlike exercise

After 2 weeks of this intense schedule I started getting shin splints. Really bad pain and I had to take a break for 2 weeks losing all my progress.

    I even had the nerve to comment that ,"I wouldn't even buy those expensive jump ropes", but ...
    now I swallow my words, thanks to you I started jumping rope, at first it was very difficult and frustrating, a year has passed now I can jump more easily and I can perform the boxer jump and jump on one foot with ease, still I need to improve and I know that it is all with practice, practice and patience.
    I am determined to invest in the complete set of jump ropes, they are worth it.

I settled with doing sets of 100 with shorter and shorter breaks, going for 1000 reps. I would time this and then keep working at reducing that time. A good time was sub 10 mins. Question: What would you recommend for a begginer that is heavily overweight?
    In my case I am 6'1" but I have 225 pounds (1,85m and 102kg for the metrics) and about 28% BF. I am going for the more intense route but my ankles and stuff inflamate quite a bit the next day. How could I strength them so I can go longer?

    • @mandeepsinghkhosa5379
      @mandeepsinghkhosa5379 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The truth is, you shouldn't try to go intense from the start. And in your case, you probably shouldn't do any jump rope until you reach around 95kg. And how would you get there? 2 options in my opinion and they are related to your body's ability to generate more force output due to you being 102 kg; One is sled push and pull, second is farmers carry. you might be wandering why though? Being 100+ kg everytime you jumb you are exposing yourself to a high probablity of injury. You want to find a low impact excercise/workout that you can do for 10-20 rounds. Both of the above options are low impact, high force output, which help burn more calories and speed up metabolism more efficiently. Pair that with good diet, high protein, low carbs, low fat, lots of greens, I promise you will feel and look different in 6 months time.

      Only way to strengthen all the little muscles is time, consistency, recovery. I'd say a little bit of jumping rope every other day and build up to longer periods. Definitely should take at least 3 months of consistent light use to build up all those small foot muscles
