I've restarted my jump rope journey last week. I was too excited about two months ago by doing it everyday(as a beginner) and my knees and ankles paid the price. Now I do proper warm ups and only jump rope for about 5 -10 min with breaks in between, every other day. I also use a yoga mat to further protect my joints.
I've lost around 12kgs in 2 months I went from 78 to 66 with averaging daily 1000 jumps HIIT with an deficit of around 600-800, jump rope is better than any other cardio
Thank you for this feedback! I weighted 77 kg at the beginning of June and since then I have been doing 3 jumping ropes workout of 2000 and 2 of 4000 skips Also doing a deficit of at least 500 kcal I suspect. I hope I could loose at least 4 kg of body fat by the end of the month when I will do the measurment.
I’ve lost 10 kilos over 3 month of 20-30 minutes jump rope everyday (some days before breakfast). Nothing beats jump rope as cardio and at the same time a dynamic and funny way of cardio. Nowadays I maintain my weight jumping rope 6 x week of 30 to 40 minutes circuit with bodyweight training.
I love both running and jumping rope. I don't think you can say running "is not worth it", as you improve your cardiovascular, heart health and train multiple muscle groups. The key is simply finding something you enjoy doing.
Doing the thing is so practical and makes me feel good, and it really wakes me up in the morning. I used to bounce on a small trampoline (useless) as a morning wake-up and to pump my lymphatic system, but I get a much more stimulating pump from jumping rope.
Hi fellow humans, i’ve started jumping rope about a week ago and im so far really enjoying it. Its still difficult and i whip myself a few times every workout wich is frustrating but its better than when i started out. Im a female 143 lbs (65kg) and just really wanna lose extra body fat. Doin my best to make sure i eat healthy meals and no extra sugars. But i havent seen much change yet in my body. Maybe my body needs more time to adjust. Heres to hoping i’ll start seeing change at the end of the month. #dothething ✌🏻
I lost around 19 kg in one year from 118 to 99 but now I struggle a lot in going further down. I still want to lose around 10 kg but I probably need to adjust my diet more and add some push ups to my workout routine. Whenever I looked up stuff around jumping rope I usually gravitate to this channel. Thanks a lot for that :D
One thing I want to add about running… I had back surgery a year ago and my recovery wasn’t going well. Running has made a drastic improvement to my back pain. I’ve been running about 5-6k 3 days per week for about 6 ish weeks and I don’t remember the last time I felt this good. I’m hoping jumping rope will do the same for me. I’m excited to get started.
I lost 100 lbs before jump rope. I started jumping rope yesterday to get from 16% to 10% body fat, but more important to help keep the weight off. Jumping rope is my maintenance plan.
Given that diet seems to be the ultimate tool in regard to weight lost, if one stops exercising (jumproping) and adopt fasting, they will maintain the desired weight. 16-18hr fasting along with consuming foods that are best in class ingredients (no sugars/seed oils) would transform you to wonders. Yes, it's a sacrifice due to the fact that you can't necessarily eat what you want", but it takes away the component of exercising (with a minimal of walking a couple times a week). Now of course if you use exercise as a tool, you don't have to worry about fasting so much or "best in class" ingredients, you can eat out because you are burning off fat calories due to high intense workouts (jump roping).
I know this isnt related to this video, but i would love to see you do a review of Remace ropes. They are a more direct competitor to crossrope and Id love to see a comparison
is working out 3 times daily for about 15 minutes each session *quick hiit workouts* along with jumping rope something that’s good or is that going to hard to quickly?
No doubt that Jumping rope is a very good and cool looking cardio.. If consistent, you will see results. but it's extremely tough on your ankles and calves. It's easy , to get excited and to over do it. And once you get injured., the recovery will set u back for months
I’m at the point when I lost the weight , now I feel and look worse than when I was heavier because I juggle and loose. Dropped 35. Down to the target 180 but I have man boobs of a 260lb dude , I’m fifty , walked every day in June 7 miles day as my base…I always wanted to learn how to jump rope …..I would like to tighten up core and chest ……will I be able to tone up with jump rope?. I just wanna be able to be light on my feet again and take a shirt off again . After 32 years of missing lakes n beaches. , and with my wife I’d like to be a less ashamed …..amazing I can lose the weight and be this disgusting looking …… I’m looking thru he play list for the video fir the “ this is your first jump rope ever”. I have never did it at all .i subbed instantly, I dig the channel the message the format …..July 1. Is my goal to go from now till the end I want a life style not a quick fix ……any video on your playlist you’d suggest for day 1 ?
I suffer with hypothyroidism and inflammation, Carbs sugars and seed oils inflame the SHT out of my body and give me gut and skin issues. I used to eat 1700 calories a day feelings weak just to keep my body fat low. Then i come across carnivore, now i am 100% symptom free and my blood work is better than it's ever been, my weight and strength is the best its ever been. Salt Beef /eggs /butter /bacon is all you need

Skipping is the best cardio. The benefits are unreal! Like you said diet is key.
Agreed!
