I won't lie.. the emotional baggage associated with pursuing this accounting degree is something I've never felt before when it comes to studies. Im in my first year and coming with the mentality of first year being easy I got used to just chasing submissions...that time I'm an average student. Wish I really knew how to always stay on my feet because praying only won't help me this time. It's chowing my soul. I've become so fatigued because of the stress. But I appreciate you making these videos it's helping.
I'm very happy to hear that these are helping you😊 Keep your eyes on the ball. Remain focused! Think about why you worked so hard in high school to get to varsity, your "Why" will keep you going. More than anything, in varsity everyone is clever that's why you are all there, but only the ones that work hard in addition to being clever make it out. So sebenza, study everyday. Have a study plan, practice different courses daily and you will do well. Say no to all the other "noises" that come with the freedom of being in varsity, they will always be there...
i'm waiting for my matric results n i have applied for bcom accounting at Wits hope that I get accepted n begin my journey. ur vid helped me alot i didnt actually understand the ca journey but now i know what im getting myself into

Lol university will show you flames loool thanks for sharing this journey. I know that the people who are in this field will find this useful. Here for my cuzz and of course to learn new info.
Auditing you need to Understand what you are testing, why you are testing it and why you are testing it that way (assertions). Don't try cram auditing! Accounting you need to Practice practice practice, you will get better at it. All the best with your studies, keep on keeping on😊
I am currently studying my third year Diplima in accounting at cput and I still feel lost about everything. Want to become a chartered accounting I I really need to get experience 😫 do not know where to start.
I failed my Honours and didn't go back.. I was hurt and disappointed as I've always done well. My life has become busier since then and I'm not sure I will be able to not have a life and only focus on cta you know.
I totally understand. Honours is such a testing year. I do think you can do it mommy but you would definitely need to structure your support system for that period. I've heard of testimonies where people go back in their 40s, married with kids, to do CTA and they eventually do qualify as CA's. Sometimes that dream just stays alive in you and you just have to pursue it against all odds. However, with that said, CA is not everything. There are great alternatives like CIMA, CIA and AGA that are good for those with Accounting degrees. So it's really up to you sis as it needs personal conviction, but I do believe you can still do it sis ♥️
@@mrstile5345 thank you Mommy. I will definitely further my studies in something. I had a lecturer that did her CTA quite late as well after she studied and worked as a lawyer. Let me sort of the support structure and see what I can do. Thanks for the motivation
Hi i am currently in high school but due to limited spaces I can’t have acc at the moment yet I wanna do accounting can We please have a word or two in this?
@@lindaiiyambo8714 hay There's no problem you dont have to do accounting in high school as long as you get those good maths marks you'll be sorted. I'll assume you're doing the science stream, that's also a good idea coz it opens a lot of opportunities in case you change your mind about doing accounting in varsity. But I'm currently doing my third year in varsity and I did science in high school and I did well including maths. But it's an enjoyable course I would say another thing about Bcom Accounting is that the modules connects with each other. You can do it having accounting in high school doesn't make that much of a difference.

Mrs Tile I have a question. So I also want to study towards charted accountancy and I passed well last year and applied for the Saica Thuthuka Bursary and I haven't heard from them. Actually I applied last month and I am concerned as to why they aren't responding. Is it normal or should I be worried.
Hi Mrs Tile i have bcom accounting degree obtained in 2010 and im working for the bank but salary that I'm earning is not worth. i would like to upgrade my studies and become CA. what course must i do to qualify for CA as Unisa decline my application for CTA
Thank you Mrs Tile just discovered your channel today. Very inspiring. @ Tendani if u didn't win at Unisa try CA Connect via milpark it's online though. It's not easy though you just need to be consistency and work hard especially if you wearing many hats.
Just focus on getting through your current stage. People don't usually struggle to get articles, there are more options now as most big companies and government institutions also offer these so not just limited to audit firms like back then.
I don't know what the KPMG Bursary offers, so I can't compare. I had a Thuthuka bursary, it covered all expenses including textbooks, it's a great bursary!
