Hey madam . Love the videos . I wanted to get your thoughts on doing your articles at Shoprite vs a bank specifically ? I’m looking at applying for a Shoprite bursary and as they’re in top and have finance departments etc would like to know if I would be setting myself up for retail and finance roles in general . From my own research the trainees seem to immediately graduate into management at the Shoprite program so in terms of what you said for pay that bodes well for the program in that aspect . Please give your thoughts .
Thank you mama for the so much relevant information ... New subscriber here😊💐... I called my son to come and listen with me, he is so impressed, he's in grade 7 and he always wants to choose accounting in high school, so when I show him your video he was so happy and he says he will subscribe and watch you on his phone😂❤️❤️
You must have passion for this career. There is too much studying, completion of the competencies with such little money. You must really have the heart for it. ...not for me nope
But completion of competencies is easy if you doing your day to day job during articles. Nothing hard there. And not much money is only when you do your articles. Which is only 3 years and once you become a CA(SA) you are paid way above average for the rest of your life. So why would you decide not to go for it just because of 3 years? It's always better to have a long term view! CAs get paid well, that's a fact.
don't other degrees have as much work as well? also, she started the video, making the point when it comes to remuneration. I'm a second year student this year. I respect your opinion but find it quite discouraging, esp looking at the work and journey. But I believe it'll all be worth it as she highlighted. It really just goes to show how much passion and determination play effect in our respective walks.

I think it's a good one. As long as it's aligned with the sector you see yourself working in in future.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing articles on municipality like city of joburg vs doing it in accounting firm.
Can you make a video as to why you decided to add an MBA to your CA(SA) qualification, was it to scale up your income or you just enjoy studying
