    Interesting video! If you could find a way to increase the sound volume it will be perfect! But so happy for your progress, hope the message gets to most people that it's worth finding a place where one is valued more.

    I am 40 years old and make £105k salary as a software engineer. Fully remote and chill company. Wondering if I should push it and try for an increase. I'm at the top of the pile and if I move I probably look for £120k+ jobs which do exist but are rare I think

    I am only a first year associate working at a local public accounting firm with no certifications other than a 4 year university degree in accounting in the United States and my yearly salary is $70,000. This equates to exactly 55,800 pounds in UK currency so I am very suprised at how low the starting salaries are in the UK.

    • @ericl6386
      @ericl6386 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Uk salaries in general are way lower then in the US but the cost of living is also lower . If you want to make as much money as possible you are definitly better of in the US . Just look at the median salaries for physician in the UK and US it is around 100k in the UK and closer to 400k in the US and you can get way more depending on your specialty😅

    This has been amazing information thank you for being open! Currently I'm an Assistant Accountant deciding on whether to do ACCA or CIMA. I know people generally consider ACCA harder and most say both qualifications are similar in weight but after being qualified for a few years what do you think? is the ACCA worth doing over CIMA for career progression or is it minor differences?

I’m currently pursuing a BA in Accounting and Finance degree in London (LSBU) and working part-time as an assistant accountant at a small firm. I would really really appreciate it if you could spare just 10 minutes of your time so I can ask a couple of quick questions. Your professional and experienced thoughts and guidance would be help me a lot in future. Thank you

    Hi Ela, I am 30yo Manager in Hospitality with a BSc in Economics and i am currently looking into accounting entry level positions. I have been applying but with 0 prior experience or relevant qualifications i dont think i have many chances.
    So my question is (If i may) would you suggest that i go for AAT or straight to ACCA? keep in mind please that i dont get any exceptions in ACCA because my university degree (Hons) is Greek not British but i have full access to funds for masters etc.
    I know that ACCA is harder and takes more time plus i have to work full time 42+ hours a week to pay my bills.
    Thank you.
