16:8 intermittent fasting and keto diets. I have lost 35 lbs in 12 weeks.

Let's not forget that visceral fat creates insulin resistance, as the cells get embolden in fat and it needs more insulin to push the macronutrients into the cells. Fructose found in refined sugar, fructose syrups found in processed food, alcohol all create visceral fat, and that automatically leads to insulin resistance. So avoiding sugar, alcohol and refined food with fructose syrup in it is a wise choice.

Of course, the "high fat diet" he is referring to that is associated with more body fat is, in fact, a high-fat, high-sucrose diet. In other words, the standard American diet with a preponderance of refined carbohydrates, added sugars and vegetable/seed/industrial oils. It's the insulin resistance trifecta.
Just thought I'd clarify that. This is the diet researchers feed to animals (rodents) to make them fat so they can be studied for chronic diseases such as diabetes, etc.
but they always call it a high fat diet. Gotta make it look like they were right all along by recommending a low fat diet to everyone. We live in an empire of bullshit.

Yea I can't believe he didn't make that distinction...Keto is a "High Fat Diet" and it does the opposite of gaining visceral fat...Kind of makes me question how well he knows his stuff...

Losing fat comes down to consuming less calories than you burn, no operations necessary.

Well the statement of high fat diets is wrong (high fat diet in general studies are never LCHF diets), what he probably means is high fat high carb diets, if you eat high carb then of course all the eaten fat cannot be burned and will be stored as fat due to the insulin (fat storage hormone). Sugar has to be used as energy first because it cannot be stored (just 300-400 grams).
Example 1 liter of coke has 450 kcal pure sucrose (50% glucose can be used for energy, 50% fructose which most will be transferred in fatty acids by the liver which causes high fatty liver decease and visceral fats) so if you eat 300 grams of carb as indicated by the US Food pyramid you get 1200kcal with the coke you are at 1650 kcal, with the protein about 0,8 grams per kilo body weight you are at 320 kcal in total 1970 kcal. That is at the limit of what you need, now all the fat in your diet is too much and becomes belly fat.
I am on a low carb high fat diet and went from 98 cm to 89 cm belly circumferences, because my insulin levels are low and by stopping eat any sugars (no fructose or alcohol) I lost my visceral fat, some subcontatunes fat does not go away. My fat is about 16% I am 49, 180cm.

Can you speak more the research that states high fat diets cause more fat? In fact checking you, I found that high fat diets that are coupled with high carb intake resulted in higher fat storage, but the same does not a apply for a high fat low carb diet. Leading me to believe that high carb intake (at least in the presence of fat) are what is actually responsible for higher fat weight. High fat diets in themselves are proven to reduce fat storage.

I did Alternate Day Fasting as an experiment for 3 weeks, and you can clearly see that I got relatively skinny (you can see that in my 2 months transformation video). So yes, any fasting in general will lose you fat, and more importantly, the body prioritizes using visceral fat first before the subcutaneous fat, which is awesome.

Can you talk about this visceral fat, obesity, hernia and Lupus? I would love to hear your take on all involved. And, possibly giving the best food list for a woman like me with all of the above.
I cannot exercise with Lupus, Sjorgens disease, nueropathy and leg enemas. Cortisol is probable problem too. And, the dr's suggestion that menopause could be starting, which is a topic that scares me. I also wanted another child. Might not be in the cards for me with Lupus. Oh I also had gastric sleeve 8 yrs ago. Lost 86 lbs, kept of 37.
Please help or navigate me in a healthy, safe direction.
    Thank you.

It's so sad that humans need this sort of advice. No other creature needs advice over what to eat. They just eat what comes naturally and don't get fat - unless they are fed by humans. Human manufactured food is bad. If we just ate what comes out of the ground plus eggs and a little meat we would have no problem. No need for unnatural types of exercise and weird diets. No need for the knowledge of science about body chemicals. If we had to shell our own nuts, de-husk and squeeze oil out of seeds ourselves, de husk our own grains, grind our own flour to make our bread, take the skins off pumpkin seeds as we eat them, refine our own sugar, well we wouldn't physically have the time to eat as much as we do of these foods. That is the measure of what and how much we should eat. Modern growing methods, modern food manufacturing, speed and convenience - these things have made us fat and ill.

I think we all know & understand what you are saying but eating and living like that for the most part, is not today's reality. Great if you can live that way but for most people, the point is moot. So, eat clean, exercise, drink clean water, get fresh air and sunshine and we should come out on top.

So interesting. My husband and I work out like crazy 20 year olds and have done for years. Our bodies don't change much. This vid made me realize what a big part of our weekend binge drinking is doing to us. My husband is muscular but has a big tummy he can't get rid of. I am skinny fat I would say. We eat so clean- but we don't drink clean. Could this be a major factor?

Hey bro, I’ve been waiting for awhile to see videos like this coming to the forefront of fat loss. Fantastic job as usual.
My visceral fat tends to fluctuate between six and eight percent, and I try sticking in this area all year around. 33, age, 27 inch waist, 44 chest.
Even when getting competition ready, my visceral fat never seems to fluctuate below the numbers I gave above even when overall fat tends to drop below this mark,.
    How about yourself?

Other than that, I’m completely stumped on why I have such a weird stomach. When people ask me about it, I always say it’s my lungs, because I’m in band. But I honestly don’t think my lungs could be that noticeable.

Mike Matthews I read that article and I want to lose lower belly fat, you know that stubborn muffin top lookin part. I also want to gain muscle so my target to lose 10% is 1818 but I want to gain muscle so my caloric surplus puts me at 2424 cals a day. I’m also a type 1 diabetic so I need to be careful with my carbs. So I’m kind of in a tight window here because I love going hamSTAR in the gym ever since I’ve read your training articles so I’m sorta in a confused state right now and how to perfect what I want.

Listen, you don't see ripped people eating only fats and protein (without steroids I mean). Carbs are there, always. You just see skinny fat people recommending keto diets. Keto simply works because it gets rid of the processed sugar and makes people more cautious about what they eat. So the bottom line is -- keto is moronic. Just eat all 3 macronutrients like you're supposed to, fast regularly, train consistently, sleep well, don't consume fructose syrup and refined sugar, don't drink alcohol and boom, you'll be healthy.
