Is protein shakes with high fiber and protein alright? They have simple sugars though so that's why I am asking. I'm doing cardio right now and don't want to consume the protein shake if it's counterproductive to my cardio that I am doing right now as I am talking to you.

Recently, I've lost 37 pounds using many of the strategies listed in the Fit Father Video. However, I'm experiencing some difficulty with "sagging skin" as a result. I believe I've lost "visceral fat" but retain the "subcutaneous fat." At 67 I have modified some of the exercises due to some health issues but overall the recommendations have been most helpful. I'm sleeping for either 7 hours or longer, drinking not the 100 ounces recommended but at least 64 ounces, exercising daily, and follow the 50% - 25% - 25% plate for meals. I haven't felt this healthy in years!

Keep it up Lawrence youron the right track. Everybody is different and I at 54 have trouble drinking that much water. I know I should but never have been a water drinker at all. Lately I have been mixing water and Lemon to change the taste and help detox. Still need to lose around 20 pounds. Going good though.

    1. Cut out all sugar, that includes fructose and lactose
    2. Cut your carbs as low as possible; less than 50g per day
    3. Intermittent Fasting, at least 16/8 preferably long, is the real key.
    4. Replace sugar/carb energy with natural fats.
    5. Keep a caloric deficit
Your belly/visceral fat with burn off you in no time, getting you healthier quicker. Exercise will help, definitely not required. There is so much information on TH-cam so there's no excuse not to just look. Dr.KenDBerry, Dr.Becky Gillaspy, Dr.Nick Zyrowski, Fledge Fitness, Dr Mindy Pelz and many, many more.

I did nothing for a couple of years after treatment because chemotherapy will steal ones energy. During that time I ate terribly unmotivated by lethargy. I'm on the graveyard shift too. & its hard because on day shift you sleep 8 hours before (9-5) you get up and you might eat a little before work or at a 9 o'clock break.
Most people don't eat a huge lunch. Then a snack about 3pm, dinner about 6PM then sleeping again 9-5.
Trust me on 3rd shift you should count calories and spread them out throughout your work night and the day before work. Its hard because you don't sleep 8 hours before 3rd shift, try a snack (fruit/ yogurt) on your way to work, lunch 3AM & cereal after you get home from work 8am. Eat 1 & 5 PM if you can sleep 2 or 3 pm to 10PM that's even better, because you cut out that eating at 5PM.
      Good luck.

I'd like to share some info as well. Estrogen is a big deal in overweight individuals since the more fat you have the more aromatization occurs which in turn decreases testosterone. When I see clients and they have a big belly I always check their testosterone and estrogen levels and 9 out of 10 times the ratio is out of whack. With those people it is vital that you cut out ANY foods that mimics the effects of estrogen in the body (xenoestrogen).
Start taking a supplement called DIM (the one I recommend is by QuickSilver), and increase your fiber big time and drink plenty of water. Doing all this will help flush out excess estrogen. Once your body detects that the estrogen levels are decreasing it will send a signal to the testes to start producing testosterone. When this happens less testosterone will convert to estrogen if you follow the above, and your testosterone levels will naturally increase and the belly fat will diminish considering of course you are also eating and exercising correctly as outlined in the video.

Cut carbs, cut sugar (read labels) a little intermittent fasting sometimes, any kind of exercise, and the weight comes off. I lost about 20 lbs. in 5 weeks but I was really trying hard. You could take it slower and not as strict and lose 2 to 3lbs a week. Weigh yourself everyday imho, if weight goes up keep making dietary changes. Weight will go up and down during 1 week but keeps going down eventually.

I can attest to losing a great deal the first week of changing my diet. Now it stalls for a few weeks, then the scale will drop about 4 lbs in a matter of 2 days. Just be patient and stick with it and the scale (and measurements) will eventually reflect what you've been doing.

Ppl eating 200g Gummibears thich is basicly only sugar. Or Eating 2 Big Whooper with 300g Meat, thich is 200g sugar and 300g fat from only 2 burgers.
2000 Cal from only 2 burger, if you get fries + cola, you are at 3400 cal eating no vitamins. Basicly eating only sugar with fat, sure protein is enough :D

      @Fitfatherproject  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey Brian, thanks for writing in and great question! We are fans of Ezekiel Bread from Food For Life. What makes them different is that it's an organic sprouted grain bread, meaning the grains have started the sprouting process as ingredients for the loaf. Sprouted grains are lower in anti-nutrients (which can block the absorption of nutrients to your body), are higher in protein/fiber, lower in carbs, and produces a lower blood-sugar spike. If not in your bread aisle, it can oftentimes be found in your freezer section as it is not preserved.
