Los vejones is the best, for value as well as taste. Los Pericos is a good value, as well. If you're interested in other types of cuisine, our favorite breakfast places are Whale City bakery in Davenport, Cafe Brasil on mission Street and the Red Apple Cafe in Aptos. For lunch, Charlie Hong Kong and Akira sushi are great options. If you want something by the water, the most economical place is the Crows Nest Beach Market at the harbor They have a great deck over the water. The Crows Nest itself has a great vibe and view, but it's not a good value, at all. For dinner, we love Sugo for Italian, Shun Feng for Chinese, Real Thai kitchen for curry, and the Public Parish for bomb burgers. For activities, check the boardwalk bowls website for their half priced times, look into apple picking at the orchards around Watsonville, and it's a great time of year to go whale watching. The feeding activity lately has been pretty impressive. Have a great time in SC!
The most authentic flavored pastor and carnitas tacos that I've found around here are at the tiny taqueria in Capitola. Mijos Taqueria. I'll give that last taco truck a try but the others don't cut it for me.
Cool, we'll have to try that place out! We only included the city of Santa Cruz because the entire county was more than we wanted cover, this time. Thanks for watching and if you try los viejones, make sure to ask for the hand made tortillas.
So lucky to live there...thanks for sharing
Happy to share! So glad you enjoy our videos and our glimpse into Santa Cruz. Thanks, as always, for watching!
We're gonna head there for a few days next month. Any recommendations on where to get the most bang for your buck? They all look great!

Los Pericos was my go-to spot when I lived in Santa Cruz. The carnitas always hit!
Still super yummy!
